About Jane Greer
I am a single mother of 2 lovely children, during the school year, I work as a paraprofessional at the WHA school. I purchased this cabin, which as been in our family for several years and am currently using it for extra income. I did live in the cabin for several months and we enjoyed it greatly as it is on my Grand Mother's property. Her name is Jane and she greets the guests when they arrive and also makes the reservations.
Jane Greer purchased this Cabin in 2012
Why Jane Greer chose Shingobee
The cabin does provide a private haven for our guests. It is still quite close to all the fun things to do here in Walker but you have a feeling of privacy. I have a home now in Walker, but spend a lot of time here when I am able.
What makes this Cabin unique
The fire pit is a nice spot for hot dogs, s'mores, etc. We have several colorful chair guest can use and it is really nice at night to sit outside and enjoy the North woods.

Great little cabin for our hunting excursion. Nice and cozy and close to our hunting area. Would definitely stay again, and recommend to friends.
Thank you Tim for your kind words, I would like to say that you 3 men really did a great job in the cabin. You left it so clean and neat, you even did your dishes and the living room was left just perfect. I would want you back any time.
The cabin was clean and was even nicer in person than the photos. Us and our pups enjoyed our stay. Good location for going on walking trails and being close to the city for groceries and shopping.
Great place to stay!
The Little Red Cabin was perfect for our weekend getaway. Beautiful views, clean, comfortable and the fireplace was awesome. Super comfortable beds too! We kept plenty warm on a cool Minnesota weekend. Jane was great, checked in on us and made sure all was good.
cozy, clean, and lovely!
We loved our stay at the beautiful little red cabin. Owner was friendly and helpful, the home was beautiful, and town is just a hop, skip, and a jump away which made it easy for shopping and walking by the lakes. Did not like the traffic noise, but that wasn't a bother while inside. We loved it here, especially the fireplace and fire pit out front. We cooked our dinner over the fire and had fun preparing it in the kitchen (everything we needed was available!) Thanks again ~
The Red Cabin Experience
The Cabin was true to its description, cute, comfy and very enjoyable. The host made us feel more than welcome which is huge!! The yard was great for the dogs to run and play. The layout was very nice and decorated very nice.
Beautiful? Not Quite
Nice little house but maintenance and cleanliness issues: light bulbs burned out, light socket not working, broken chair, broken garbage can lid; lot of cobwebs and dirty floors. Just needs a thorough cleaning before presenting to the public, especially at the price we paid for it. I don't want to be harsh but I think it's important for others to be aware of these issues.
I am very sorry to hear you were unsatisfied with your stay. Upon check-in I had said if there was anything you needed, please don't hesitate to call or walk over. I would have happily changed the light bulbs for you since I live next door.
-As far as the broken chair? I am not sure what chair you are talking about, can you please give me more details?
-The garbage can lid was not broken it needed to be snapped onto the bracket.
- I personally watched the cleaning lady wash all of the floors before you came, along with vacuuming the corners for cobwebs. We live in the north woods and it is a constant battle here.
- When comparing other places to stay in this area, we are very reasonable. I am offended by your remarks.
I really wish you would have communicated your issues with our cabin while you were here for your week-long stay, so I would have been able to resolve them for you.
