Returning Guest 4th Stay Beautiful as my First Stay

I come Down to Charleston with my Husband, younger two kids and to visit with my Daughter in the Local College. I just truly don't understand or agree with the previous two star negative rating and i feel its completely unfair, my normal stay in this home is usually at least 3 nights up to 14 nights. I come from an affluent New Jersey home and neighborhood and I am very picky as I have rented many real bad, dirty and bud filled homes in the area. I have to say this Home is always Clean, Beautiful and Spotless everything is brand new. I feel completely safe in the neighborhood as my two younger kids ride there bikes all day long up and down the street and have made friends with other kids on the street and the neighbors are just so sweet. Richard the owner anytime i have any questions or need anything I simply call him and he always answers the phone and takes care of whatever issue i have and he is always that way since my first stay in this home. The Home is centrally located to everything in the area and all major road connections i can get to the Beach, Downtown and Uptown in minutes with a direct road route to the Airport could not be easier. The interior bedroom color is a beach light blue very relaxing and the decor was just upgraded again to keep it fresh. I would recommend this home to everyone without any hesitation.

Clean home in a great location!

Our family of 3 enjoyed this quaint little home in the perfect location for vacationing near the beach and Charleston. The kitchen is very nice and the home is very clean! I absolutely loved the large Oak tree in the front yard! :)

neded a deep cleaning and bug eradication

Home a ways review services suck since they won't allow the renter to tell the truth!!!! I will not "edit" my review again or use home away again! Home away should not allow the owners to falsely advertise their rental properties as "luxurious and clean " when in fact they are not!!! The home had nice features in the pictures when I was researching homes to book however, there was an old keurig k kup left in the machine, urine around the mastrbed room toilet, a few bugs and I would suggest to paint the bedrooms or touch up the paint. The neighborhood seems like it's being revitalized but there are homes directly across the street from this home that resemble crack houses. This should not have been advertised as clean or luxurious!!!!

Owner's Response: I am very surprised as to this review, this is the only 2 star review received in over two years of renting our home on a constant 95% booking Rate and with over 300 Guest booked and with Corporate Clients and other Guests who book our home for months at a time not just a few days, so I would say that’s not a bad record. So let’s take this review point by point and let’s remember this review is for only a two night stay wow! It’s Easy to see buy the language in this review being very unprofessional and as such why HomeAway had to edit this review for approval to post, I could only imagine what the language was before this review was allowed. the suggestion is made that our home is not or should not be advertised as “Clean or Luxurious” really! So all 99% of our other guest reviews are false or the pictures we have of our home are also false. This home was completed renovated at the cost of over $200,000 everything from the walls up is completely Brand New, all the appliances Brand New everything in this home is New, So what should we say this house is “Old and Used”. Also, One used Keurig Cup was left by the Cleaning service in the Keurig Machine, we may have had a few bugs but that could be from just opening the doors and naturally some flies will come in, these sound like real bad violations wow kill us please. As far as the Neighborhood Mount Pleasant is one of the Nicest, cleanest, safest and beautiful towns in the Country and on this block over 9 homes around our house have been completely renovated and made brand new. Anyone can go to Google Maps and see on Street view how nice our home is and the surrounding homes are, you think I can hide that? The only home that is a little old is in fact across the street from our home, with a 95 years old wonderful world war II veteran who lives alone and as such is not able to take care of his home like he used to and actually I have helped him many time, as far as I am concerned that’s about respect and not judging the property or a kind man who actually deserves our respect and not our judgement period. Finally this Guest had never notified me about any of this, i would have amicably worked something out for her no problem, just tell us or call us, that's all we ask if you have any issues. I hope other Guests reading this review can understand and take this review as they say with a “Grain of Salt”.

Home is modern, comfortable and clean in a quiet family neighborhood . Easy access to Charleston and beaches Owner was quick and easy to contact. Decent kitchen supplies for cooking. Nice tv but not much cable for those rainy days/nights

Everything you required was there, would recommend.

Yes the neighbourhood was a little run down, but quiet and respectful. Beds all squeaked - especially the master bedroom. Very quiet area and handy to everything. Richard was helpful with ouand booking too.

Perfect for a long weekend in Charleston!

My family was very comfortable in this newly decorated home. We enjoyed Mt. Pleasant as much as downtown Charleston. We would defiantly consider staying again.
