About the property

3 Bedrooms, 3 Bathrooms, Sleeps 6

Campfire Lodge is a three bedroom, three bathroom chalet just a stones throw from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Prepare to relax on the deck and enjoy the view while roughing it in style with the feeling of the mountains, but with all the modern conveniences.

The main floor living area features a wall of windows to take in the mountain scenery. Many guests have spent their vacation enjoying the mountain views and relaxing along side the floor to ceiling stone fireplace. Guests can also watch their favorite television show on the 60 inch flat screen Smart TV or their favorite movie on the DVD player. Bring your favorite CDs because this chalet also features a whole house stereo system. The dining area is close by and seats six comfortably for a nice family meal or a game of monopoly. The kitchen has everything the cooking enthusiast might ask for on those evenings you decide to stay in and relax. Also on the main level is the master bedroom. It features a king size bed and a 32 inch flat screen cable Smart TV. The large whirlpool tub is in its own private room just off the master bedroom. The main level bathroom is just across the hall and features a double vanity and a tub/shower combination.

The upstairs loft bedroom also features a king size bed with its own 32 inch flat screen cable Smart TV. Adjoining the bedroom is a second bathroom complete with a double vanity and a shower. Thanks to the cathedral ceiling, you can also take in the mountain views from the loft bedroom. The lower level is the action takes place with a game room, a wet bar, the third bedroom with a king size bed and another full bathroom. The game room features a pool table, a large comfortable sofa and love seat, a 50 inch flat screen cable Smart TV with a DVD player, an electronic dart board, a Play Station 2 game system, a DVD library, and a selection of adult and children's games. The wet bar features a sink and a small refrigerator for drinks and snacks. The third bathroom also features a double vanity and a tub/shower combination.

The wrap around deck features two covered porches and sports an outdoor hot tub, a charcoal grill, a picnic table and plenty of seating. The chalet also includes a washer & dryer, wireless high speed Internet, a high chair, and a Pack-n-Play. There is a community pond located at the bottom of the hill complete with a fishing pier. With no fishing license required, it is perfect for catch and release fishing. Campfire Lodge will sleep from two to six people with three king beds. Joe and Wendy Schumacher said to say, "Hello!"

Comfortable, Spacious, Well-appointed

  • 5 of 5

Everything was just about perfect about our stay at Campfire Lodge. We would recommend it to anyone. The hot tub was a nice touch. The owner was very responsive. About the only complaint I can think of is that the wooden rockers on the porch aren't very comfortable.

Wonderful Cabin!

  • 5 of 5

The campfire lodge is truly a great place to stay while vacationing in the Smokey Mountains. The cabin was exceptionally clean and the location was wonderful. The cabin is in a great location, close to everything we wanted to do, but we did not have to drive thru the busy traffic congestion to get to our cabin. The drive up to the cabin was very easy and not a problem at all. We especially enjoyed the convenience of having three bathrooms with each one having a double sink. The shaded front porch is a wonderful place to sit on the rocker and enjoy your morning coffee while looking out over the mountains and listen to the birds singing. We fished in the community pond and our grandson caught (and released) a wide mouth bass. We hiked to Laurel Falls and visited Splash Country for a day. We drove to Cades Cove several times and were treated to seeing bear and deer each time:) During our visit this year, we were fortunate to see 13 black bear including six cubs. We have stayed several places in the Smokey Mountain area and the Campfire Lodge is by far our favorite. We enjoyed the pool table and hot tub in the evenings and the dining room table is a very comfortable place to enjoy family meals. We always read reviews before we book a vacation home and I can truly say that the excellent reviews for the Campfire Lodge are all very accurate!!! We cannot wait to come back. Thank you Jim for everything!

Beyond our expectations!

  • 5 of 5

We just arrived home from our vacation in Tennessee. We have gone to Tennessee several times before. Campfire Lodge was by far one of the best cabins we have rented. It was stocked with everything. Very clean and Jim was very responsive. Great location. Located just before the busy highway so getting to the cabin was an easy drive, and very close to the national park. We hiked and walked/swam the rivers and visited Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge. Wish we could have stayed longer. The beds were comfortable and the nights were quiet. We even saw a falling star. Can't wait to come back.

Fabulous stay!

  • 5 of 5

We had a lovely stay at Campfire lodge! The super quiet evenings and mornings on the deck were fabulous and the stars at night phenomenal! All 3 bedrooms were king size and had their own bathroom suite - amazing! We slept on the bottom floor as it had the firmest bed and I slept late every morning because it was so quiet and comfortable, even in the middle of the wild storm that came through and knocked out the power. The owner was nice enough to drop off water, flashlights, and candles to see us through the storm! I highly recommend this place! We were in GSMNP every day to hike the trails, which could be anywhere from a 30 min drive to an hour depending on how deep into the park you go. To come back to the cabin was definitely worth the drive. We cooked breakfast and dinner every day. The kitchen was well equipped. A few things need updating (pans, lighting in bathrooms) and a gas grill would be nice (especially for power outages ; ) ) , but overall a fabulous experience!
