About Danny Chin

We have recently discovered the 'Art of Hospitality'. 'We never thought we would be in the hospitality industry, but absolutely love it. We enjoy meeting our new friends and doing what is necessary to make their stay a memorable one.

Danny Chin purchased this house in 2013

Why Danny Chin chose Anna Maria Island

When we first saw Anna Maria Island, we were surprised at how little it was built up and how the waters were so clear. It truly is 'Old Florida'. It rivals many Caribbean destinations and is in our backyard. No passports required!

This hale (home) caught our attention because Suite 1 was an original beach bungalow built in 1924. Since then additions have been added that have really utilized it's proximity to the beach.

What makes this house unique

Our hale (pronounced Ha-lay) has a third floor rooftop deck that gives guest a unparalleled view of the beach and Gulf of Mexico. The memories of sunsets will carry you through the dark cold winters of up north.

The homes interior have been designed by us and all the renovation work was done by Dan, Dan truly loves envisioning how the house should look and have it come together. Because we live nearby and are hands on, any issues or request are handled immediately. The suites were designed with what we felt would bring the most enjoyment for our guest.

All of the suites have been fully refurbished with Italian Travetine tile in the kitchen and bathroom and bamboo laminate flooring elsewhere.

Beachside is centrally located in Bradenton Beach. The historic Bridge Street is a block away and top restaurants and activities are all just a short walk away.

Walk, take the free trolley or drive, it's your choice.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Hi Danny and Brenda,

I wanted to say that we had such a great time in Anna Maria and a big part of that was being able to stay in your home! Such a beautiful and refreshing home. I have a silly question for you though. The queen bed in our room was the most comfortable I've ever slept on. Do you know the brand?

We will always use your places in the future!

Thanks so much for everything,

Lisa

Cozy and quiet beach condo

  • 4 of 5

I stay at bungalos/condos at the beach at least once or twice a year. This one is definitely a recommendation. Nice and spacious, has modern appliances. There is a filtered water dispenser inside the fridge. The bathroom is great. Has a basic cable package. The top floor balcony gives you an excellent view of the ocean. It is very quiet in the unit I stayed in and I would definitely stay again. It is one of the better ones I have stayed at.

Right outside the unit is a Circle K which was extremely convenient. There is an outdoor shower hookup to rinse of beach sand. There is a few restaurants to eat at within walking distance. The beds are very comfortable (for me anyways) Lots of positive things to say about this unit for sure.

the cons: Parking

Parking is a major issue. Only 1 car allowed. There are 4 units and if all 4 are occupied, parking can be a hassle. Do not attempt to bring a boat here, it is very tight. Somebody staying there brought one and he was able to accomplish it, but it is a bit risky... It takes a lot of space. If you are bringing relatives or friends that require another car, make sure you pay for parking. (I was unable to find overnight parking for a relative of mine and she was slapped with $70 in parking fees for parking at the beach even though there are NO signs posted stating no parking/overnight parking........keep that in mind.) There is a small public parking across the property that allows about 10-12 people to park there from 8am-11pm.

Overall this is still an excellent spot. I would recommend it. 4/5 stars

We loved this place

  • 5 of 5

We would highly recommend this property. We flew in so we just had our luggage with us. Everything was provided at this property. Full kitchen with all the utilities, pots and pans. We stayed in Suite A. They have chairs, umbrellas and floats for the beach. The beach is literally just across the street. Close to island resturants, bars and shopping.

We met Danny & Brenda Chin. Extremely nice people and very willing to help in anyway.

We would love to spend more time here.

We will be coming back! Had a great experience with the owners and the house is beautiful. We have a boat and there is plenty of room to park it. The beach is about 5 minutes from the house and you are on the main drive so you are very close to everything..super convenient.

Charming

  • 5 of 5

My family and I rented out two units with Danny and Brenda- the units were perfect! We had a lovely visit while staying for an extended weekend for a wedding. Both units were fully stock with everything we needed, as if it were our own. Frankly, it was difficult to face the reality of going home!

At first glance the units were colorful and inviting. The communal roof deck offered a lovely view of the sunset and a place to socialize with our family. Both units were comfortable and accommodating for our stay, coming equipped with all linens, kitchenware, bath ware, beach ware, even an iron. We were across the street from the beach- making it easy to run home for the restroom or to make lunch. Majority restaurants and night life were one block away. We used the trolley or walked just about everywhere.

Danny and Brenda we're extremely accommodating throughout our stay, always available. One night a storm detached an awning from the house and Danny came first thing to repair. We all felt a sense of ease during or stay and happily return here time and time again while in Bradenton Beach!

Definitely come here for the sunsets, but plan to stay for the

sunrises, too. Anna Maria Island—a wisp of a seven-mile island

along Florida's West Coast—is a place that revels in the end of day. As the sun slips spectacularly past the horizon, bongs clang, music plays, cameras click, and viewers try to guess the exact time of daylight's finale. Yes, it's a nightly celebration not to be missed, but come morning, you still will find plenty to do until the evening ritual starts again.

Anna Maria Island still retains the 'Old Florida' feel that makes this a great place to bring your family. No huge condos or resorts helps keep the beaches uncrowded.

Don't want to drive after you arrive, no problem, we have a free trolley that runs the length of the island.

Eateries abound from inexpensive cheap eats to a top rated Zagat's restaurant. You can relax on the beach while sipping your favorite sunset libations while listening to live music at one of the beach side eateries.

A favorite activity is the Ice Cream Crawl where you hit all the ice cream shops on the island. (Think Duval St Bar Crawl in Key West but the kids can participate in this one.

Love nature? Aside from seeing dolphins swimming in the Gulf and a multitude of sea birds, Robinson's Preserve (Free Admission) nearby offers 4 miles of hiking and biking trails, a 5-story observation tower that offers a panoramic view of the area and kayaking through lush mangroves.
