Casa Sonrisa is a Smiley house. All the art is from a local artist Donald Smiley. 10 minute walk to town. It was built in 1916 and just remodeled from the ground up 05/2014. It is a 2 bedroom 1 bath. The living area is open up into the kitchen. The bedrooms are on other side of house with bath in between them. The bath is with a clawfoot tub shower combo. Tin ceiling and large picture window to see all the birds and beauty of the Bisbee region. There is a garage for guest and plenty parking which is very hard to find in Bisbee. There is a walk up a hill to the house of about 100 feet on a clear pathway with 15 steps total to the front door. The house sits on 3/4 of an acre. Walk out the french doors of the living room and enjoy more views and cool mornings and evenings. There is a gas fireplace in the living room but also has a new heating and ac unit. We have the kitchen stocked with plenty plates, silverware, condiments. Has a dishwasher and garbage disposal. There is a 42 inch LCD TV with Dish network with over 250 channels. Wireless with chromecast for Netflix. NO dogs allowed

Essence of Bisbee
A great homage to Bisbee from decor to furnishings and art. A quaint miners cottage nicely remodeled. Outdoor space is fabulous with a fire pit and lots of seating.
Only recommendation would be a better shower head.
Thanks for the review! I am taking 2 different shower heads down this weekend to try to see if it will make a difference.
cute, clean, comfortable, cool town
Well equipped, cozy cottage. Clean and nicely decorated. The climb to the cottage is a bit of a challenge but doable. Nice neighbor at the take-out place. Great bistros and bars and shops and galleries close by. We were there in January and it was chilly at night, but great during the day.
Nice little house in Bisbee
The house is conveniently located not too far from Downtown Bisbee. It is probably a bit long of a walk but the drive is quite short. The house was clean and had everything you would need to cook meals and have a comfortable stay with ample supplies of everything. The outdoor spaces also add a nice touch. The beds were quite comfortable and the bathroom though a little old is quite nice, clean and functional.
One concern we did have was that even though the listing states "No Pets Allowed" there was pet hair on the living room couch (no where else). I am guessing the owners have pets :) But usually I would interpret no pets = no pets. For us it was not a big deal since it was only one area and none of us are allergic but something to keep in mind if you are.
Thanks for the review and am glad you had a great time in Bisbee and enjoyed our house. We do have our dog at our house which is a Maltese that has hypoallergenic hair. Sorry our cleaning person missed some hair on the couch. I will make sure that does not happen again.
Love the décor and artwork of this home, the windows are really lovely - we were comfortable and enjoyed our trip. Having the city park close to us was an unexpected bonus as well. The owners were very easy to work with. The walkway mentioned in previous comments should be noted for anyone with mobility issues. The steps and path are a bit of a challenge when hauling luggage or a heavy cooler. This home is a bit of a trek if you prefer walking into town and around town. The location does have nice views but it also has the main road behind it, and traffic noise was not something I had anticipated. No shade cover on the front patio - or umbrella anywhere to be found. I know this is an old home with the original tub/shower - but what a pain that was. Bisbee is a great town - be prepared to walk and try the 1000 step challenge and do a ghost tour - lots of fun!!
So glad you had a great time in Bisbee. It is a very fun and walkable town but many steps every place you go. So sorry you did not read that it is 100 feet up the hill to the house. We have had all types of guest including 2 couples in their 90's who thoroughly enjoyed our property. The sail over the deck was ripped and has been repaired since you were there. We do have 2 other properties that are down near the city park that you walk right into the house if you prefer with just a couple steps into the house. Bisbee offers something for almost every person.
Honeymoon in Bisbee
We spent a very enjoyable time here. The house is well-equipped and easy to use, the deck is fabulous, and the place has many fascinating and quirky art/craft touches. It is very quiet at night. Kristi, the owner, was great to work with, and provided us some extra information re making our time in Bisbee special. We hiked one day in Chiracahua National Monument, and spent a day window shopping and hanging out in the street cafes of Bisbee. An excellent chile relleno can be found at Neariah's, about 2 miles out of Lowell on the highway. The town is similar in character to Winthrop WA, but with a southwest setting. We plan to return and bring our friends next year.
Great location and views galore!
Warm and inviting retreat with an awesome patio and views. Relaxing environment perfect for a quick getaway or long stay.
