About Bruce and Lorna
We are both from the Penticton area, we enjoy skiing , hiking and our animals and children.
Bruce and Lorna purchased this Cottage in 1998
Why Bruce and Lorna chose Kaleden
Our property is close to the city of Penticton but still very private and peaceful, ideal for a quiet getaway!
What makes this Cottage unique
The cottage is very private , detached from our main house, the windows and deck do not look at any other homes.

The cottage was really nice, everything you need .
I was able to communicate with the owners by text and the owner did pop in to make sure everything was ok. And this suited us well. I would definitely come back.
Great little cottaage getaway
I loved the cottage. It was the perfect weekend getaway for four good friends. It was close to hiking and some great wineries, both of which we did. I also loved that I was able to bring my dog Ben. It is rare that dogs are allowed, and having Ben join was very special for me. Thank you!
Excellent Cottage in the bush
We had such a nice holiday in the area: climbing McKinley Bluff, visiting wineries and enjoying the relaxed atmosphere of this lovely cottage. I would highly recommend this two bedroom cottage!
Thanks for letting us stay
A fun weekend getaway for the family. Country feel but close to city and parks that you can go and play during the day and come back to the cottage at night and relax. All the amenities of home plus nature outside your door. Thanks Lorna and Bruce for providing a home away from home for us and the dogs.
Beautiful setting, quiet and clean
We were three women celebrating birthdays and decided to do a golf'n wine weekend in Oliver. The cabin is very comfortable with cozy duvets, wood finishings, etc. to give a warm feeling. It is a good size for three people. There are a couple of reasons why we gave four instead of five stars for the rating. First, coming from North Vancouver and walking/hiking in trails almost daily, we had a certain expectation about "hiking trails"- and this was probably one of the main reasons we booked this cabin- for the "trails from the doorstep"- however, it's a narrow dirt road through a neighbours property that we had to climb over their fence to get to, and it's not marked, so we walked for 20 minutes and turned back. The second reason for four stars is that the cabin is minimally stocked in the kitchen. For example, it would have been nice to have had cereal bowls. Finally, we didn't see this anywhere in the fine print, but the cabin is advertised as sleeping four, but if you have more than two people, there is an additional charge per person per night over two...which didn't make sense to us because it was advertised as a cabin sleeping this many people at this price per night. These are small issues that didn't hinder our having an enjoyable time at this cabin but reasons enough that supported four stars.
Great quiet and secluded little cottage.
We had a great stay at this cabin it’s a short drive from penticton or any of the many lakes surrounding. The deck is a great feature with a nice gate to close off to stop your dog or kids from running off the deck. The cabin it’s self is nice and is a good size for about two couples with everything that you would need. Very nice couple that live on the property. We had a great stay here.
Our cottage is located very close to many wineries, the Okanagan Valley is famous for its wine. Osoyoos, Oliver, Ok Falls, Kaleden, Penticton, Naramata, Summerland and Peachland are all within 1 hours drive from our place, each location has its own wineries. We are very close to Skaha Lake which has several beaches and the KVR trail for biking and walking. Hiking trails off the property and at White Lake Observatory, all areas are dog friendly, off leash.
