The East End Is The Quiet Part Of GCI And You'll See Why The Moment You Arrive.

Privately owned and located within The Reef Resort (now a Wyndham affiliate), this 2nd floor fully furnished, 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom beachfront condo at Castaways Cove features a fabulous ocean view from a private balcony and can accommodate 2-6 guests. It can be rented as either a 1 bedroom with full kitchen or as a full 2 bedroom layout.

Features include a King sized bed in the master, full kitchen with granite counter tops, fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave and coffee maker. An additional 2 Murphy beds pull down in the living room.

The 2nd bedroom is a studio with a king sized bed, full bathroom and kitchenette complete with bar fridge, microwave and coffee maker.

In addition to both sides having separate entrances, the condo also features an interior locking pass through door. THE RATES BELOW ARE IN $US are for the full 2 bedroom layout. Rates for the 1 bedroom full kitchen side can be found under NOTES below the rates table. TO ENSURE PRIVACY, WE DO NOT RENT OUT THE STUDIO SIDE WHEN THE 1 BEDROOM IS OCCUPIED.

About Beric Evans

Welcome to our condo owned by 2 couples, one from Calgary Alberta the other from Parker Colorado. We have been friends for years and share a passion for adventure. The 4 of us have been diving all over the world but we fell in love with Grand Cayman. We chose this destination primarily because it was a safe, friendly Caribbean Island with very little crime, English is the spoken language, and the island has a state of the art water purification system. This is our little piece of heaven!

We chose to buy in the East End of the island because it gave us the opportunity to be away from it all. The condo is only steps away from the white sand beach and the clear sparkling turquoise sea is a great destination for anyone who loves to take in water sports or for those who want to soak up the sun. It offers poolside and beach front relaxation. Our condo offers close proximity to some of the best diving sites in the world and the finest snorkeling to be found anywhere right outside our doorstep. There are two excellent dive operators nearby, Ocean Frontiers and Tortuga Divers who offer a wide range of courses to suit all levels from beginner to advanced. There are over 260 top dive and snorkel sites on Grand Cayman and the East End has 55 amazing dive sites to choose from. Our condo is conveniently located in a full service resort containing 2 swimming pools, tennis courts, gym, spa, private beach and restaurant with bar and grill. The resort offers an extensive list of amenities and provides great activity options. The concierge will book a wide range of activities including water aerobics, volley ball, wind surfing, deep sea fishing, kayaking, sunset cruises, nature tours, and trips to world famous Sting Ray City. Other activities include The Turtle Farm, Swim with Dolphins and the nearby Botanical Gardens. This destination has something for everyone.

If you are looking for a secluded beach away from the hustle and bustle of Georgetown, then this condo is right for you. You can wake up to the sound of the surf at sunrise or sit on the veranda with a glass of wine over-looking the crystal blue waters. Escape to beachfront luxury for affordable prices. The condo has an open plan living and dining room with double glass doors that open onto a private veranda. Our unit has cheerful décor and features central AC, ceiling fans and spacious bedrooms. We have stocked the kitchen with dishes, utensils and cookware. We provide linens, pillows, blankets as well as towel sets for 2 full bathrooms and 6 beach towels.

Enjoy live entertainment at the Pelican Restaurant/beach bar in the Reef Resort. The resort has a bistro for breakfast and the beach bar and grill both serve lunch and dinner. Subway is open 7:00am-10:00pm daily. Nearby restaurants: The Italian Kitchen (for dining in or take out - located across the street) and Bombay Chopsticks (5 min drive south) are our favorites, Tukka, Eagle Ray Grill, The Edge, David's (in Morritts next to The Reef) also serve great food. Le Soleil Spa is located on the ground floor of Castaways building. Call the spa or book through the concierge. Ice machine located in the laundry room ground floor Castaways B building. Fosters grocery store is located across the road in the strip mall, all grocery stores are closed on Sundays and Cayman holidays.

Home away from home, but you are in paradise.

We were very pleased with our stay at this condo. We have a young family so when we travel we like to have all the amenities that we are used to having at home. This property has a fantastic view of the water/beach and you are only a few steps away from a handful of pools. There is a wonderful store across the street for all of your needs, but if you don't feel like cooking you can take a short walk and have a great meal at the restaurant instead. This condo is quiet which is great if you have children with you or you don't like the noise of a traditional hotel. The homeowners were always prompt with responding to any questions we had about our upcoming vacation. I even had to contact them after my daughter left behind a special gift she got while we were there. They found her toy and are sending it all the way back to Wisconsin for her! We would highly recommend staying in this unit. We made many great memories with our family that we will treasure forever.

This is a great place to stay! Everything you could possibly need is right there. And if you have any questions Barbara is lovely and answers her phone every time you call!

Be sure to follow the advice to bring/buy water shoes. You definitely need them to swim in the ocean.

Perfect get away vacation.

Condo was well stocked and clean. View was fantastic. Location is very convenient. We did nothing but sit on the beach for two weeks. We moved the car only to go out for dinner on three nights.

Perfect beach-front location

We had a wonderful two-week stay in this two-bedroom unit. Unobstructed view every morning of the amazing array of azure sea colors. Very nice unit, great A/C, quiet, close to the pool, and just far enough from the restaurant to not hear or smell it, yet just beyond the pool. The owner was very responsive to our inquiries and has an on-island contact person as well.

The crew at White Sands Watersports, on the property, are amazing. A bunch of Australian expats really know how to supply fun/safe times with all the watersports at your front door.

The onsite restaurant has a wide selection of menu items, each of which we thought were as good as any restaurant on the island. Fresh, creative, tasty.

Sting Ray City is a must, but really, REALLY try to book the first 7am tour as it became chaos with cruiseline tourist right after we left. White Sands can set all that up for you. This should be a bucket list item for people visiting the item. It was sooooo cool.

Just down the coast is Tukka and a little further is Spotted Ray restaurants. Both are very, very good. Feed the tarpins at 5pm each night for another lifetime experience. Right on the water, large menu selections, and really good food.

Georgetown is a 30-40 minute drive, so I'd suggest putting together an itinerary of trying to knock out items with just one or two visits. Georgetown is rather small, so if you aren't a big shopper you could see it all in a few hours. The cruise ships deposit their tourist here, but all head back to the ship around 3pm. Yes there are fewer people then, but the shops also start to close.

Turtle Farm is a must see. We didn't do the dolphin thing right across the street from turtles.

Rum Point is very sleepy, nice place with a restaurant and Kaibo just down the block has a quiet harbor and good restaurant.

The Bioluminescent bay tour should also be on your list. We recommend a car as there is so much to see.

Food across the island was very good. Fresh, both seafood and beef options. Sun and sand. Sun and sand.

A Little Piece of Paradise

This is the ideal getaway! Situated on the quiet, east end of Grand Cayman, this condo is the perfect place for rest and relaxation, while having the comforts and convenience of a kitchen, living room, 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. The condo is clean and has all the amenities needed for a fun and restful vacation. If quiet relaxation, away from the hustle-bustle of life is what you're looking for, this is the place. We truly enjoyed have the beach view and easy access to sit on the beach, enjoy the breeze and simply relax! We will definitely be back. The owner provided outstanding customer service and this place was everything we expected and more.
