About Arthur Bartikofsky

Grew up in upstate New York and spend 30+ years in Philadelphia. For the past 20 years I have made the Delaware seashore area my second home and recently have moved up to North New Jersey, making it more difficult to get to Delaware. However, I am not ready to sell and thought this would be a great way to help with expenses and allow other folks to enjoy this special get away place. Many friends have told me that the house would be a great bed and breakfast!

Arthur Bartikofsky purchased this house in 2002

Why Arthur Bartikofsky chose Ellendale

Very special home that represents a true slice of rural america. Very close to resort towns yet away from the crowds and congestion.

What makes this house unique

While the front of the home is stunning, the rear porch connected to the country kitchen leading down do a large partio and built in swimming pool, makes you feel that you are swimming in nature. This property is almost 5 acres and surrounding by beautiful forest.

Optional add on during your stay to make your vacation even more memorable:

5 course catered wine pairing dinner by Chef Tony Lawrence, Wine Sommelier - $85.00 per person

Great backyard for activities. Clean pool. Great kitchen. Bedrooms have plenty of space. Private and secluded property. Not far from the beach. Great place overall.

Family Time at a Home

  • 4 of 5

A house that was a home with something for everyone....a little beach time which was an easy drive, close enough to Rehoboth for a funnel cake, a ferry trip to Cape May Zoo, relaxation time at the pool, and family evenings.

Charming and Spacious!

  • 5 of 5

This house was perfect for our family's get-away from the city. The photos do not do justice to the space. Each bedroom is ample size with comfortable mattresses. The decor and photos are fascinating (careful with toddlers). Our family of 4 (two children under two) plus parents/in-laws stayed here for 4 weeks. Most meals were cooked at "home" and the kitchen is well stocked. It's proximity to Washington DC allowed for our extended family members to visit for long or short weekends and there was plenty of space for all. The pool is wonderful and well maintained. There is also a playground just 3 blocks away (behind the Town Hall). Getting to different beaches was an easy morning trip allowing us to be back to the house for afternoon naps.

Arthur (the owner) was attentive and responsive. He was welcoming and eager to make sure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable.

If you're looking for a place to eat, don't miss Po'Boys Creole on Route 16 in Milton or The Backyard across the street. And if you like doughnuts, stop by Gooey (in the Food Lion shopping center) also on Route 16 in Milton.

Great place to relax and spend time with friends and family!

Perfect for our needs!

  • 4 of 5

This house proved to be a very good location for our purposes. It is conveniently located (10-30 minute drive) to many recreational activities for kids and adults as well as places to eat. We had a lot of rain so the large house was great for three families to spread out. The pool was utilized by the teenagers every day. The adults enjoyed the sun-room overlooking the pool. Didn't realize the house is near train tracks but we were never bothered by the train during our four night stay. The house is well stocked so it was easy to cook meals at the house. We would rent this house again.
