Gorgeous and Accommodating
Villa Baloo is a little piece of island paradise that was very accommodating for everyone from the grandparents down to the grand babies that were here. The furniture was comfortable, the decks were beautiful and perfect for grilling dinner and eating outside. Everyone enjoyed their time in the pool. Highly recommend. We will definitely stay here again if we return to Pine Island.
Thank you very much for staying in Villa Baloo. I am very happy you liked the housue and the surroundings. I hope Mr. Bear made it home by mail as well : )
Looking forward to see you again.
Gorgeous, secluded home in Tropical Point
Gorgeous property, leading to a gorgeous home! Our family had a wonderful time on the island while staying at Villa Baloo. We have stayed on the island many times and this was one of the most memorable stays. We had some guest stop by and the kids had an awesome time in the pool as did the adults. Multiple screened decks make for a relaxing time at any time of the day.
Just down the street we launched our kayaks and fished on many of the days. We also took out the provided canoe one of the days so the kids could fish.
The home offers a couple of bikes to pedal around the area, a nice touch.
Over all, the house was lovely and clean. The furnishings were nice and comfortable and its a great place to stay.
A hidden treasure
My family and I arrived to a very charming, well equipped vacation home. It was nicely decorated. It was spacious and roomy. The bedrooms all were roomy and had large beds. The kitchen was well stocked. The dining areas accommodated a large group. The outside porch areas also had many seating areas. Both for large groups as well as few small cozy areas. There were hidden treasures all over the grounds, fruit trees, blooming plants and many well matured palm trees. We arrived at the end of tropical season so the fruit trees had just a few offerings. The grounds were slightly overgrown and the paths were less than perfect but I was enthralled around most every turn of the garden. It was also very nice that they had books on the history of the local area as well as books on the fruit and garden vegetation!! I would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys being "off the beaten" path and interested in a tiny piece of paradise.
Keine Luxusvilla !
Dear Guests, Property manager replied via email in German and are available in Cape Coral, 30 minutes from Pine Island.
We always email a welcome email and ask guests to come back if there is something that is not to their liking. This guest got a $50 discount already during the reservation of the villa for the cleaning fee of $250.
The property manager has been in touch with the guest 3 times. Welcome email March 2, the guests arrived everything was fine. March 12 - the guest wanted to stay longer but was unfortunately denied longer stay because of new guest arrival, March 15 - we had a leak in the pool pump was down for 1 day - was fixed March 16. Guests depart March 17. Then we've got this review?
Cleaning issue: 3 towels/chlorine spots and a missing seam, a spider web up in a corner of a window which could have happened during the guests 14 night stay, garden – it is a palm tree garden with lots of different tropical fruit trees, bushes, flowers etc. Would have been nice if they send an email reg. these minor issues. Reg. sand flies/no-see–ums. No-see-ums are common in the whole North America, Australia, etc. Both lanais are in the pool cage and one of the lanais is also under roof.
Beautiful kayak trails, biking, boating, great restaurants, sight seeing to outer islands such as Sanibel Island, Captiva Islands, Cabbage Key, Cayo Costa State Park for their famous shelling,
