I am retired and always wanted a property like this to offer to others for their enjoyment of this great city. I live close by, so I am available to meet your needs, but far enough away that you will have your privacy.
AMY BRINKLEY purchased this house in 2014
I had been looking for a vacation rental property for some time, but wanted to make sure I found something downtown - walking distance to all sorts of things that make Asheville an experience - a great place to visit and live. Found it and am happy to offer it to you.
Amy has provided everything necessary for a wonderful stay. The house is conveniently located in a quiet neighborhood near local restaurants. We enjoyed the croquet set and board games provided during our down times.
The property is exctly as Amy describes. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch and talking with friends..This location is very convient to downtown. Were able to walk to downtown several times and when we felt a little "lazy" the uber ride was $5. We had an incredible weekend!
We were lucky to find this charming house in a quiet neighborhood in Asheville! This was our family's first visit to Asheville and we weren't sure where to stay. We wanted accessibility to all that the downtown area had to offer at night but wanted to take day trips to hike and kayak. Amy's house didn't disappoint - we were close to everything we wanted to do! During the day, we enjoyed several hikes on nearby mountains (45-60min drive), kayaking and paddleboarding on the French Broad River, and touring the River Arts District. At night, we were only a mile or two from restaurants, breweries, street musicians, and shops! We usually drove but it's close enough to walk (1-2 miles). Within just a few blocks, you can walk to Asheville Yoga, a bakery, coffee shop, butcher, several grocery stores, Chick-fil-A, and more. Amy's house was clean, well-appointed, and spacious enough for 6 adults. Our favorite part of the house was the charming front porch where we could all enjoy some "down time" and a good book in the morning or late afternoon before heading out for activities. Amy was extremely accommodating and flexible, even helping us to arrange last-minute changes to our trip. I would definitely recommend this house for your Asheville vacation!
Amy was very responsive to our questions both before and during our stay. The house was clean and perfect for our family. We enjoyed breakfast on the front porch each day and found the back patio perfect for when we dined in.
As a group of 5 women we enjoyed our long weekend in Amy's house. There was plenty of space to hang out inside and outside. The house was clean and Amy was very attentive to anything that came up.......such as locking ourselves out of the house!! (thanks Amy!!) We loved the close proximity to the downtown for a walk to eat, drink, or shop. Rain arrived one night so we crammed into an Uber for the $5 ride into the heart of downtown!
I am in love with the Asheville Yoga Center and this is just a few blocks away along with 3 great groceries, coffee shops and much more. I would definitely stay here again!
Our family of six adults thoroughly enjoyed this wonderful house, and the rooms are bigger than what the pictures make them appear. The rooms were immaculate, the amenities were superb, the basket of brochures and maps were so helpful, and the cookies that Amy left were delicious. The backyard and front porch are lovely for relaxing outdoors. The location is excellent with local restaurants and coffee shops nearby. Because of the rain, we did drive into the heart of the city, but walking is doable. The Biltmore is also nearby. When we come back, we will definitely stay in Amy's house - thank you for making our first trip to Ashville so enjoyable!
This 3 bedroom, two bath home is walking distance to fabulous downtown Asheville which boasts excellent restaurants, bars, historic architecture, shopping, music, arts, cultural events, craft breweries, festivals, and so much more. You will be amazed and in awe of how much is happening around you making Asheville one of the top vacation destinations. It's a short drive to the Biltmore Estate, the largest privately owned home in the U.S. A delightful way to spend part of your vacation touring the magnificent house and grounds of beautiful flowers and plants. Take a drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway, visit Great Smoky Mountains National Park, go whitewater rafting, hiking, shopping, antiquing - Asheville has it all!
