By general consensus, one of the best presented rental properties in the area. Our 2400sqft custom designed home stands in spacious landscaped grounds at the end of a very quiet no-through road in a mostly permanent residential neighbourhood. Furnishing and décor is more 'home from home' than your standard rental offering. Regret no pets and no smoking. The home is fully managed in our absence and the gardens and pool are maintained every week.
This is our holiday home, our second home which we cannot use fully at the moment and so we let it when we are not in residence. It is an immaculate property, open plan interior, air-conditioned throughout, elegantly furnished as it's our holiday home, not a rental investment. The house is not suitable for children under age 8 as there are no child alarms on the doors and we do not have childproof fencing round the pool.
The rear of the property faces southeast and offers complete privacy with light wooded areas both sides; the deck and pool look over a small lake and a panoramic view of the third tee of the Long Meadow Golf Course. The area around our home is a wildlife preserve offering regular siting of Florida’s traditional wild life and birds; there are guides to Florida's extensive wild-life, birds, trees and flowers in the book-shelves, and binoculars are supplied.
The spacious master bedroom is sunny and bright with sliding doors to the pool deck, a king size/6' bed, TV, walk in wardrobe, and a large en-suite bathroom with dual hand basins, an oval bath and walk-in wet-room shower. The second bedroom has a queen size/5' bed, TV, 9’ wardrobe, sliding doors to the pool deck, and an on-suite bath/shower room; the third bedroom has twin beds, good drawer storage space and an en-suite bath/shower room. The great room is comfortably furnished as a dual-use family and sitting room, with two large sofas and a swivel armchair, multi channel TV and triple glass doors that slide away to offer the complete indoor/outdoor living experience between the sitting room and the deck.
The larger than average kitchen has recently been modernized and includes all the usual equipment (Samsung convection oven and electric cook top, microwave and French door refrigerator, and an ultra quiet Bosch dishwasher). There's plenty of cupboard and pantry space, and ample table china, glassware, serving dishes, a drawer full of food prep knives and tools, food blender, mixer, coffee grinder, Keurig coffee machine, kettle, and a full 8-set of European cutlery. The casual eating/breakfast area has a solid oak 5’ round country style breakfast table and six spindle-back chairs. There is a separate laundry room with modern front loading appliances and space for one car in the garage.
There is an elegant, but still very practical, separated, dining room with a glass topped table and six upholstered, comfortable, dining chairs.
The large deck is south facing and there is a wide area under cover. The pool and jacuzzi are in the sun most of the day, and it's sunny most days in Florida. The jacuzzi and pool have solar heating; we do not have additional electric heating. The deck is furnished with four blissfully comfortable sun loungers, two Caribbean style sun shades, two side tables and, under the shaded lanai, a large dining table with six swivel arm-chairs. There's also a gas barbecue for those traditional Florida cook-outs.
Rotonda is a nice quite mostly residential community with a Community Park and Preserve right in the center, where you'll find walking, jogging and bicycle trails, playgrounds and picnic areas with barbecue grills. There's well maintained community tennis courts and an active few who run tennis mixers in the mornings (go to the court and sign in). Two racquets provided.
Rotonda boasts five excellent golf courses, and there's 20 more all within 30 minutes drive. Summer golf rates are about $20-$25 a round including cart fees; winter rates are more, details can be found on line. We back onto Long Marsh golf course; take an evening sunset stroll any time accessing right from our gardens. Golf clubs can be hired from the golf clubs.
Two bikes provided, good for exploring the area and keeping fit.
There are solidly good supermarkets and practical shops within 15 minutes of the house.
