This beautiful 2 bedrooms 1 bath upper suite in a renovated turn of the century home has it all. New kitchen with bosch dishwasher, washer dryer, bamboo floors, renovated bathroom with beautiful finishes, outdoor BBQ with garden seating, etc. The property is located near EVERYTHING. The best locally owned specialty food store, grocery store, restaurants, bank, etc. are very close by. Downtown is a short walk, where you can see the famous Empress Hotel, the inner harbour, the Royal BC Museum and IMax theater, art galleries, and more. The beautiful Dallas Rd. waterfront is a 3 minute walk, and has a wonderful walking trail connecting numerous pocket beaches. Equally close is Beacon Hill Park - with amazing gardens, kids playgrounds and water parks, ponds, petting zoo, peacocks, natural forests and meadows, etc.

Quite simply the best location you can get in Victoria. In a quiet and beautiful setting but a stones throw from every amenity you could ask for. No need for a car, but there is street parking with no time restrictions if you would like to bring one so you can drive to all the wonderful attractions on the Island.

We found the property a very comfortable place to stay.

It was nice to have a well equipped kitchen with so many of the staples provided. Especially the full sized coffee machine. It was clean and cozy with temp controllers in many rooms.

The suite is walking distance to downtown and the inner harbor. We stayed 6 nights and would stay again.

The suite is in a nice location, walking distance to downtown and the waterfront. The suite itself was just average, was fairly clean and has a well stocked kitchen. For the price I expected something cozier. I didn't want to spend anymore time in it than I had to.

Great Location with Poor Furnishings

Although the location in James Bay was great for walking access to the Inner Harbour, downtown shopping, Beacon Hill Park and the ocean, the furnishings in this apartment were less than idea. The major problem was that the beds were way to soft, with no back support resulting in a poor night's sleep for anyone who needs a firm mattress for good back support (even the pillows were flat and provided little head support). The leather couch was also not very comfortable and definitely not a good sleeping alternative.

This unit also did not have A/C or even fans, so with temperatures near 30C during the day, the upstairs apartment was very hot and stuffy, even with the windows open (without screens). Leaving the windows open at night was difficult, as it did cool off and there were no extra blankets (just heavy down comforters over the sheets, which was either too hot with it on or too cool with it off).

Finally, when we arrived late in the evening, we found no paper products (toilet paper, paper towels, Kleenex, etc), but Jordan was nice enough to bring over some TP and paper towels that evening. We had a great time in Victoria viewing all of the many gardens and having several high teas and we will return to Victoria in the future, but will look for an alternate place to stay.

Great location in James Bay

Very comfortable for 4 people. Good kitchen facilities, although we ate out. Good restaurants in close proximity. Nice to have off-street parking.

Located in the best neighbourhood in the City. Quiet residential atmosphere but easy walk to local amenities, downtown, harbour, beach, beacon hill park, etc. All the benefits of the City with the comfort and quiet of a homey heritage neighbourhood with century old homes.
