Can't wait to come back!!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I spent a week here celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. We had such a wonderful time and were sad to leave. The unit itself was spotless, bed was comfortable, and ohhh, the deck. From morning coffee to sunset wine, we spent alot of time out there! The sights and sounds of the harbor just cannot be explained in writing. Ocean breezes, gulls crying and the waves lapping at the shore made our experience even more enjoyable. Watching the tides come and go was pretty awesome too! The home is very charming with lots of character. It is located in the heart of the marina within easy driving or walking distance to restaurants, convenience/grocery stores, Rocky Neck and beaches. Many of the restaurants nearby offer gluten free options as well and the Common Crow is a natural food store just five minutes away. The unit is perfect as a home base when traveling the area. We visited Rockport, Manchester by the Sea, and spent two days on Cape Cod. The washer and dryer came in handy and the extra toiletries in the bathroom were appreciated. The owner Meg was great to work with from beginning to end with excellent communication. Ray (marina mgr) was very nice as well. We loved every aspect of our stay and are already planning our return trip. Highly recommend!!

Vacation views right off our deck...

Had a great stay in Gloucester! Accomodations were clean, comfortable and relaxing. Toughest part of the vacation was which restaurant and red or white? Thanks Meg!

Wonderful...wonderful...wonderful (what more can I say)

  • 5 of 5

We spent a week at this wonderful home and were sorry to leave. Everything you can possible want is right there at your fingertips. Meg (owner) is so easy to deal with and such a great communicator. She answered all of our questions (before and during) within minutes, and offered additional suggestions for places to see and places to buy lobster (a must!). Once we purchased the lobster, she arranged for an outdoor burner, steamer pot, and propane. It was truly the best lobster we ever ate.

The view is amazing! The best part was waking up in the morning and enjoying a cup of coffee on the patio while the sun was rising and the boats began departing. It's all the sights and sounds of a working marina/waterfront.

If you are looking to get away and really enjoy yourself, this is the place.

This was the perfect setting and location for a grand Cape Ann vacation

  • 4 of 5

The property was in excellent condition. The TV should be replaced. The owner was gracious and gave excellent suggestions for trips and restaurants. All restaurants we ate at were good quality and delicious food. All the towns and villages in the area had restaurants in settings that took advantage of the the sea.

The only reason I did not give this rental 5 stars was because of all the steps. It was a bit much for people in their late 80's but we managed and it was worth it.

The most important thing about this rental is the fabulous views from the outside deck of busy Gloucester harbor.

Amazing spot!

  • 5 of 5

I LOVED this place! The view was amazing. You're pretty much over the water and watching the beautiful sunsets across the harbor was a nightly ritual. It's in a working marina so it came with neat sights and sounds which I enjoyed. The apartment was very clean and well decorated for a homey feel. Plenty of natural light and character. Meg was lovely and helpful. I live in Boston and rented to spend a few days "off the grid" and this place was just what I needed. Close to downtown, but you still have your privacy and don't feel like a tourist. A friend of mine is already thinking about renting with her mom. I'm sure I will be back as well!

Property exactly as described.

  • 4 of 5

We spent a month in this property, late October to late November 2015. The apartment was as good as we hoped it would be. The location is quite unusual but works very well, we walked in to Gloucester on many occasions, it is also a short walk to Good harbour beach. On the chilly nights, the heating worked well and the place was always warm. We never actually got to meet Meg, the owner as we were always out when she was about, but the manager Ray is an affable character and very helpful.
