We stay in Big Bear 2-3 times per year and this is definitely our favorite place. The property is huge with a spacious lot(no neighbors right up against the house) and has some great lake views. We were also able to enjoy some decent weather and walk to the village from this location. The property was clean upon arrival and everything for the most part worked. This place looks like it would be awesome with snow on the ground as there is so much room for sledding. Hopefully we can make it in the winter some time.
We really loved this property and enjoyed very much our stay here. The common areas are very spacious.
There were a couple of things we did not like though. Besides from the master bedroom which is awesome, the rest of the bedrooms in the house are very small and do not have their own private bathroom, the three of them share one.
We paid quite a lot of money for six nights and were offered a luxury property. The property has a luxurious building but the few amenities we got, were far from luxurious. That is, we did not get enough toilet paper for 7 days and 14 people, there were only a couple of those little bottles of shampoo and soap you get at hotels (in fact they had the names of hotels on them), there were just barely enough blankets and they were far far from comfortable or luxury, there were hardly enough towels and they were quite small.
We had to drive our own garbage almost two miles away from the property.
We do understand the rental agreement established that we should bring our own blankets, towels, kitchen supplies and everything else we needed. And we were also informed about the garbage. But all this was done after we paid for the property, so non of this was something we could take into consideration to rent this cabin.
In sum, we paid a large amount of money for a luxurious property that did not offer much of a luxury treatment.
