A lovely home in a great location
We were a large group of Australians who visited Oxford for the Ole Miss game the weekend after Thanksgiving. We were so pleasantly surprised by the house - it's even better than the photos! The rooms were nicely renovated with new bathrooms and amenities and large comfortable beds. There was a big dining table for all the guests to have breakfast, a reasonably sized kitchen, a large comfortable living room and large TV and speaker for playing music. All bedrooms had a bathroom which helped with our group of 8. The property owner Taylor was really friendly answering all my questions and so was Carter the Property Manager – everything was so easy and we were able to get extra linen and towels for our group. Oxford Square was walking distance where all the restaurants and bars are located – it is such a nice town! We had such a fantastic stay – absolutely loved Oxford and being able to go to an Ole Miss game and the Square so easily from the house.
I would only recommend adding more updated photos to the listing, the ones included do not do the house justice!
Best of Both Worlds in Oxford with everything in reach.
Location, Location, Location. This property has the best of both worlds. Beautiful extremely well appointed property in a quiet wooded neighborhood with excellent furnishings and quality appliances to make for a great getaway or sports weekend. Two full en-suite bedrooms upstairs and a single room with full bath on the main floor, fully appointed kitchen for making the best meals imaginable and a full size washer and dryer. The living room has large comfortable furniture and a flat screen TV for watching those other games (if you feel so inclined). There is also a screened in porch just off the living room to expand the entertaining space or offer a quiet place for the adults. I spent time here in August and September and not a single morning coffee or evening meal was enjoyed without a family of deer keeping me company. If you prefer a more lively experience the restaurants and watering holes of the Oxford square are just a short stroll. The most important factor being the amazing proximity for tailgating at the Grove and catching games at Vaught-Hemingway or Swayze Field. The owner and his property manager, Taylor & Carter, were the most friendly and accommodating people and were definitely focused on this being an enjoyable stay. This property has everything that you could wish for in a rental home. Hotty Toddy!!!
This beautiful property is not only near the city, but a few minutes drive from the Sardis Wildlife Refuge and Lake. Also, a stroll to Rowan Oak, The historic home of William Faulkner (our local Nobel Prize Recipient) is well within Reach. There are also two live theaters for concerts and Shows (The Lyric and The Ford Center) that are also walking distance. Want to relax? Book a treatment at our Local Spa, EpiCure! Tell the owner (and our great friend) Lindsey Baquie that we sent you! Tennis, Golf and other activities are nearby. Also, when you wake up at Elm Street, look out into the trees--We have Deer eating there almost every morning, just out your window.
