Ciella Gabriel, owner purchased this house in 2006
Our home was purchased so that I could grow exotic flowers and watch wild life everyday from all parts of the land. Every window has a green lush view. Every room is an tastefully decorated. This is not a rental home. This is the home that we live in every day.
Spectacular mountain views, gorgeous exotic flowers and greenery, colorful birds and butterflies, creative spaces in the yard to sit and relax, a running creek to listen to and to watch, rooms tastefully decorated for balance and calm, all the comfort of luxury living. Peaceful and quiet, yet 15 minutes from downtown Boquete.
Two couples rented the house for one week during the Thanksgiving Holidays. Celia and Quincy were very accommodating and the house was wonderful. The house is exactly as described with beautiful views from the top floor.
The house does include a washer and dryer, however, we weren't allowed to use them as there seemed to be a shortage of water. It would have been nice to know that ahead of time as we packed for the week with the intent of doing laundry mid-week. We used a local "lavatoria" which charged $3.50 per load which worked out very well and we didn't have to do laundry while on vacation!
I would definitely stay at the Hacienda again!
I spent with another couple spent one wonderful week at their home. The home is luxurious and spacious with 4 different balconies and patios that one can sit and contemplate the beauty of the views and the luscious tropical landscaping that surrounds the house. There was plenty of room for the four of us, the master bedroom upstairs and two other bedrooms downstairs. The kitchen was spacious and well equipped. They have even created a path down down to their stream with little sitting areas on the way.
The house is located up the mountain from the town of Boquete (a 10 minute drive). The last part of the road was dirt and a little rough. Every morning we would hike up the road and enjoy the views.
Boquete is a small town, but has several very good restaurants, two grocery stores, a fruit and vegetable store. The also have some local fishermen that come in the afternoons to sell their catch of fresh fish. Boquete even has great restaurants and bakeries that were also 5 star. Beds were delightfully comfortable and well appointed with extra pillows and high count sheets. Best part was the views which were in front of the mountain range and Volcan Baru. The side view goes all the way to the Pacific Ocean and the islands. Best stay ever totally comfortable and well appointed in a luxury fashion.
Would definitely recommend staying here, would come back in a heartbeat.
The Hacienda had everything that I wanted in an upscale mountain experience for my family.
The views were spectacular of the highest peak in Panama Volcan Baru at over 11,000 ft.
We could also see the island in the ocean in a far view. There were two covered decks very elegantly appointed. One with an outside loveseat and two chairs and hammock while the other had a small chime aria (small fireplace) and two oversized Adirondack chairs. The sun deck upstairs had 4 large scale outdoor chairs and a padded lounge.
All rooms had 10 to 14ft ceilings upstairs and downstairs. Lots of windows and light throughout with a view from every window. Kitchen upstairs was all wood and granite fully equipped with dishwasher, gas range and stainless appliances. Master has a King bed with comfort mattress, desk and French doors leading to the covered patio. Master bath had a soaking tub, large shower with glass block, double vanities and Brushed nickel faucets and accessories. Entertainment area upstairs has a 40 inch plasma tv with DVD and Bose stereo system. Bar area has three seats off kitchen. Living room upstairs has a large sofa and dual reclining love seat. Dining room also had French doors leading to the same terrace. Sits 6 comfortably. Downstairs area:
Guest half bathroom downstairs was very roomy with glass block.
Both bedrooms had there own bathroom with one being a suite. One bedroom had French doors leading to a private enclosed terrace. Downstairs living room had a loveseat and oversized chair along with small refrigerator and microwave. Dining area sits 4. Each bedroom downstairs has a tv/dvd player in each room with over 200 dvd's.
Separated Outside terrace had two large Adirondack chairs and a full gym. Garden area were everywhere and extraordinary to view. A walkway of paver lead to the secret garden area along the stream with three separate patio/sitting areas. Enchanting and tranquil with exotic birds, hummingbirds and butterflies all around. This is paradise found.
Highly recommend to all for!!!
