The North Olympic Peninsula offers a diversity of tourism experiences. The coastal region surrounding Forks, typified by the Park Beaches and the Hoh Rainforest, is exhilarating in its wildness. However, just one hour's drive east in Port Angeles and Sequim, the atmosphere is a bit more citified. Depending on the time of your visit, you might attend one of several festivals (the Juan de Fuca Music Festival and Crab Fest in Port Angeles, as well as the Irrigation or Lavender Festivals in Sequim). Want to travel to a foreign country where they speak your language, eh? Take one of the four daily summer ferries from Port Angeles across the Strait to Victoria, BC, and its world-class Butchart Gardens, or maybe just stroll among the art galleries in Victoria's compact downtown and down a pint at a pub. Nature is still predominant in the east, nonetheless, as one can drive up Hurricane Ridge looming over Port Angeles, visit Deer Park and 600 ft deep Lake Crescent, hike 
the Olympic Discovery Trail or walk 
Dungeness Spit.

The owners of the Port Angeles Bluff House also own/operate the Manitou Lodge in Forks and don't want you to miss any of the coastal or Port Angeles-centered Peninsula experiences, and, naturally, we'd prefer that you never stay with anyone but us. The 65 miles between west coast Forks and Port Angeles used to pose a bit of a problem, but that problem is now solved. You can now book with us in Forks for the coastal/rainforest experience and either before or later at our Port Angeles vacation rental in order to visit Park venues such as Hurricane Ridge, catch a festival, wallow in lavender, or hop over to Victoria or the San Juan Islands.

This lovely residential property is right on the bluff fronting the Strait of Juan de Fuca between Port Angeles and Sequim. This location allows immediate access to Port Angeles and the Victoria Ferry, a variety of Olympic National Park venues and all that lavender in Sequim. Briefly, we're offering a 3 bedroom, 2 full bathroom house (king bed in the master bedroom, queen in the second bedroom, single bed with trundle in the third bedroom - easily sleeping 6 persons) for rent. As one would expect, there's a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, and laundry facility. Television and wireless internet service will be provided.

Just as it is at our secluded Lodge out by the beaches west of Forks, the chill factor at the Bluff property is huge. Gorgeous views are just everywhere, accompanied by the sound of waves lapping on the shore well below. Eagles are frequent visitors in the firs on the west side of the house. The signature feature of this property is an expansive ocean-facing deck and a weatherproof bluff-front gazebo allowing unobstructed views of Vancouver Island, Mt. Baker, Port Angeles Harbor, shipping, smuggling, search-and-rescue, defection of sailors to the western nation of their choice, and anything else that might be floating or going on out there on the Strait.

Beautiful Olympic Peninsula home!

Ed was a terrific, communicative and flexible host. After news that a bad windstorm was threatening the area, he was willing to switch our reservation to a different weekend, which really gave us peace of mind and kept us from risking our necks trying to get over there.

The house is well-supplied for two small families with comfortable common spaces and bedrooms. What sets the house apart is the amazing deck overlooking the water between Sequim and Port Angeles. We spent every spare moment gazing out on the water from our perch on the cliff. It’s a short drive to Hurricane Ridge and the gorgeous Dungeness Spit as well as a great jumping-off point for other parts of Olympic National Park. We can’t wait to go back for a long weekend escape from Seattle.

Wow, what a view!

This wonderful home has an absolutely spectacular view - the best we have ever had in a vacation rental. As soon as you walk into the open kitchen/living room, your eyes are drawn to the large picture windows overlooking the ocean and Vancouver Island. Best of all, you can enjoy the mesmerizing view from the comforts of the house, from the beautiful, spacious patio, or from the weatherized little gazebo - which was perfect for the chilly evenings. The kitchen is well-appointed and had everything we needed to cook meals for our family of 5. (Unlike most vacation rentals, this one had plenty of pans, skillets, casserole dishes, a pizza sheet, Tupperware, etc.) The beds were comfortable and the wi-fi worked great. We loved our time here. Thanks so much for sharing it with us.

We loved our stay in the bluff house! Ed was great to work with and extremely accommodating. We had everything we needed along with a beautiful view! We will definitely be recommending this property to our friends looking for a comfortable and quiet stay in Port Angeles.

Awesome sea view, quiet and peaceful

Well furnished kitchen and very comfortable bedrooms. Lots of games and entertainment options within the home for all age groups. We were 5 people and felt like we got the right combination of togetherness and privacy.

Fyi, Three rooms, which includes 1 master bedroom with queen bed, another room with a queen bed and a third with a twin bed. So if you're traveling in a group, just know you may end up with unequal bedroom space. All the best with the results of that coin toss!!

Minor con: the dryer and dishwasher were a bit wonky and we were unable to use them. The furniture felt a bit crammed in, around the dining room and bedroom.

Great properties !

We recently visited Olympic NP and stayed at the Bluff House and then at the Manitou Lodge (Forks). The Bluff House has awesome views from the rear deck overlooking the Juan De Fuca Strait. The house is so comfortable. It is like a home away from home. It is a great place to relax on the deck by the fire while watching the sunset over the water after a long day of hiking. The Lodge is located in a secluded setting that is so quiet and peaceful. We stayed in the cottages which are small but comfortable and have a large deck and rear fire pit. The main Lodge is a short stroll away and has a large room with a fireplace to lounge in . Breakfast was stored in our refrigerator the night before which helped us get a early start on the day's activities. The Lodge is a short drive to Town and close to some beautiful beaches.

We truly enjoyed our experience at each location and would highly recommend both properties !

Awesome view!

We had a family of 4 adults and 2 children and had a nice stay. Plenty of toys for the kids. Very secluded location, with beautiful backyard views. Saw multiple cruise ships go by in the evening.
