This deck has the ability to melt your woes away!!
Step into TRANQUILITY!! Charming home with expansive up-close water view overlooking the Strait of Juan de Fuca where the big cargo ships and ocean liners sail by! Living room, dining room and kitchen are all open concept, with a massive kitchen island, allowing for all your group to gather together, while the chef prepares a yummy home cooked meal and your resident sommelier pours mom a glass of vino!! After the quietest night's sleep, awake and sit up in bed to see the ocean from the warmth of your cozy comforter, then grab your morning java and sit on the huge deck outside your bedroom door and take in the sea air....ahhhh...breathe!! On a clear day, you can literally see forever...well at least to Mt. Baker ( hundreds of miles away) way over in northeast Washington state whilst the morning sun shines down on your head to melt those cares away! When you're ready for some activity, The North Olympic Peninsula offers a diversity of tourism experiences. The coastal region surrounding Forks, typified by the Park Beaches and the Hoh Rainforest, is exhilarating in its wildness. However, just one hour's drive east in Port Angeles and Sequim, the atmosphere is a bit more citified. Depending on the time of your visit, you might attend one of several festivals - The Juan de Fuca Music Festival and Crab Fest in Port Angeles, as well as, The Irrigation and Lavender Festivals in Sequim). Want to travel to a foreign country where they speak your language, eh? Take one of the four daily summer ferries from Port Angeles across the Strait to Victoria, BC, and its world-class Butchart Gardens or maybe just stroll among the art galleries in Victoria's compact downtown and down a pint at a pub. Nature is still predominant in the east as one can drive up Hurricane Ridge looming over Port Angeles, visit Deer Park and 600 ft deep Lake Crescent, hike the Olympic Discovery Trail or walk Dungeness Spit.
The owners of the Port Angeles Bluff House also own/operate the Manitou Lodge in Forks and don't want you to miss any of the coastal or Port Angeles-centered Peninsula experiences, and, naturally, we'd prefer that you never stay with anyone but us. The 65 miles between west coast Forks and Port Angeles used to pose a bit of a problem, but that problem is now solved. You can now book with us in Forks for the coastal/rainforest experience and at our Port Angeles vacation rental in order to visit Park venues such as Hurricane Ridge, catch a festival, wallow in lavender, or hop over to Victoria or the San Juan Islands.
This lovely residential property is right on the bluff fronting the Strait of Juan de Fuca between Port Angeles and Sequim. This location allows immediate access to Port Angeles and the Victoria Ferry, a variety of Olympic National Park venues and all that lavender in Sequim. Briefly, we're offering a 3 bedroom, 2 full bathroom house with a king bed in the master bedroom, queen in the second bedroom, single bed with trundle in the third bedroom - easily sleeping 6 persons. As one would expect, there's a fully equipped kitchen, dining area and laundry facility. Television and wireless internet service are provided.
Just as it is at our secluded Lodge out by the beaches west of Forks, the chill factor at the Bluff property is huge. Gorgeous views are just everywhere, accompanied by the sound of waves lapping on the shore well below. Eagles are frequent visitors in the firs on the west side of the house. The signature feature of this property is an expansive ocean-facing deck and a weatherproof bluff-front gazebo allowing unobstructed views of Vancouver Island, Mt. Baker, Port Angeles Harbor, shipping, smuggling, search-and-rescue, defection of sailors to the western nation of their choice, and anything else that might be floating or going on out there on the Strait.

Originally from London, England, I arrived in Texas at age 25 but the lure of the Pacific Northwest spoke to me 20 years ago, so here is my I hang my hat! There's not too many places where you can see the ocean AND mountains in the space of 3 seconds!! Just try it yourself on the 8th Street bridge. Ask me, I'll fill you in!!!!
Lynne purchased this House in 2013
Why Lynne chose Port Angeles
For the past 20 years I've lived in this area which Capt. James Cook, passing this way in 1778, remarked in his logs as possessing, 'un surpassing beauty'. Even by these standards, the location and views from this property stand out. Not to mention the PEACE AND QUIET to be found at the very end of a residential cul de sac. One of my favorite quotes is: "far from the madding crowd".......no one can hear you scream.....well maybe the Eagles!!
What makes this House unique
I also offer a cedar built lodge on the west side of the Olympic Peninsula in the now famous “TWILIGHT” area of FORKS. Situated on 10 acres of real rainforest, the calming, woodsy lodge is just 3 miles from Railto beach and 45 minutes from the official Hoh Rainforest; the only temperate rainforest on the mainland! . Email me for special "bluff guest" rates and take in the "Twilight" experience!! Choose from full amenity rooms to cabins to ready made campsites with a s'mores kit to boot. CHECK OUR WEBSITE AT: ManitouLodge.com for details, then email me personally for a discount at:email@example.com or call me at 360 640-4366.

Beautiful place!! Clean, great location and well stocked
The place was amazing!! Perfect quiet location close to the Port Angeles downtown. We had a great time.
Had a great peaceful stay
Ahhhh yes, PEACE! So glad you got that peaceful feeling at my quiet home! See you soon, again I hope!
My family and I had a great visit while staying at this house on Bluff road. The view is mesmerizing and I loved waking up to it every morning.
I know right?!!!! Just being able to turn your head to the right, whilst still laying in bed and seeing that non-stop-ocean-blue is sooooooorelaxing! So happy you were able to chill!
Beautiful calming views!!
Really enjoyed our stay at Bluff Top! Very private end of the street location. Great for a couple, or a family to enjoy (not so good for little ones. Literally on a cliff but OH what a view)! Well stocked with everything you need, and close to everywhere you want to go! We hope to book it again in the future, but in the mean time, thanks so much for the memories!!
Yes indeed..... our title does say it all..... Bluff Top!! There's no denying the thrill of endless ocean views is there?!! So glad you were rested by the time you left.
Great house that had everything we needed. The location is perfect and the view from the deck is amazing. Check in and out were a breeze even though we booked the day before. We’d definitely stay here again!
So happy that we were able to accommodate your last minute inspiration for some R n R. That view surely does relax the mind doesn’t it?!!! Come back in the summer for wine on the deck!
cozy with great layout and even better views!
We loved our stay at the bluff top house. It was perfect for our group, 4 adults and 2 kids. Loved the African themed bedroom. Would love to return in better weather to make use of the deck outside!
Your happy, makes us happy! So glad your new year got off to a good start. And yes, you'd do well to re-visit our expansive deck in good weather, with a bottomless glass of vino in your hand......that ocean view gets bigger with every sip, and your stress just melts away!!!
Like wine??? Take in a tasting at one of three local wineries or just drive down the road to our local wine and cheese barn just four miles away, then enjoy on the deck, or in the gazebo just four feet from the edge, gazing at the ocean!
