Completely renovated, clean, well-furnished 2 bedroom home located on very quiet side street in a beautiful, historic Asheville neighborhood, 1.5 miles from downtown Asheville. The property offers plenty of open space, majestic hemlock trees, beautiful stonework features, all within a wonderfully-walkable neighborhood.

Inside the house, you'll walk on recently refinished hardwood floors throughout. The front bedroom is airy and well-lit with four screened, fully functioning windows. The back bedroom is a sleeper's paradise. Each of the bedrooms has a full-sized closet and a chest of drawers so you can unpack and just live.....

Ceiling fans in bedrooms and brand-new central heat and air-conditioning mean you've got full control of your comfort no matter what.

Blackout blinds on the windows mean Mother Nature won't wake late sleepers.

Brand-new, fully-tiled bathroom with historic hints, so you can clean up from your mountain hike in king-like comfort.

Full-size washer and dryer -- so you can travel light and wash while you're here.

The fully-stocked eat-in kitchen offers a full-size stove, refrigerator, dishwasher. The appliances were purchased in 2014.

The neighborhood is great for a quiet, exploratory stroll, and Asheville is a mecca for cyclists, rock climbers, hikers, and river boaters. The owners are avid cyclists and can recommend a full variety of road and mountain biking options, as well as lots of interesting mountain-view and waterfall hikes.

Please note:

This home provides a perfect get-away for couples, small families or small groups of friends. The owners care about the cottage and the neighborhood. The cottage is not an appropriate place for large gatherings, loud parties, or events. There is ample parking for 2 vehicles. If your group requires additional parking, please contact the owners prior to booking.

About Liz

We have lived in North Carolina for almost 30 years. We moved our family and our careers from Greensboro to Asheville in 2005. We have two children (ages 4 and 14).

What makes this cottage unique

This property is located in a quiet neighborhood, populated by historic properties and huge trees. The house itself is adjacent to and overlooks a small, heavily-wooded, public park with hiking trails. This neighborhood is incredibly walkable, and full of neat places to explore.

Great Location!

The place was very quaint and cozy! Very nice furnishings comfy bed and well stocked kitchen. The location was perfect, close to Biltmore Village and less than 10 minutes from Downtown Asheville and West Asheville. The cottage was very clean and comfortable, will definitely be back!

Cute Cottage Near Biltmore Village

This property has been beautifully renovated and is a warm and cozy place to spend some quality time in the Asheville area. The owners have provided everything that you need and then some. It is a perfect spot to either come back to after a busy day or just to hang out in and relax.

We had absolutely a great stay. We did have an issue with the fireplace but within a short time the owner was there to fix it. A couple of things that must be mentioned is that the steps leading up the front door are very steep. Luckily though the back door is more easily accessible. Also, though this is close to Biltmore Village, it is not easily walkable. Close enough for a short ride by car though..

All in all, it is a great place to stay and we will no doubt be back.

Clean, quiet cottage in a great neighborhood

Hard to know where to start, so I'll just list all the superlatives about this property: It's a small, quaint cottage, immaculately kept, in a very nice neighborhood with a nice park out the back door. When I say immaculate, I mean it--I've literally never stayed in a cleaner VRBO property. Beds were amazing (I'll be replacing my son's at home now that he has slept on these....), kitchen and bath are very nice too. And this was all before we discovered that the gas logs in the fireplace are real! Five minutes to Biltmore entrance, and to Whole Foods, and maybe ten minutes to downtown. Instructions for check-in / out were easy to follow, and interactions with the owner were flawless. This place was great and made Thanksgiving away from home a real treat. Thanks again!

Roomy quiet bungalow. Very well stocked high end kitchen and super clean! We have stayed in many similar places and this is one of the best ever! A delightful stay!

Perfect Spot

We travelled to Asheville for a few days at the Biltmore Estate. Kenilworth was the perfect location. The cottage was convenient, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The only slight negatives were no off street parking and the water pressure in the shower was a bit light. Other than that, the place was perfect. Highly recommended.
