Affordable and very spacious! Perfect for a fun weekend getaway

  • 5 of 5

Has a lot of stay-at-home perks. With a ping-pong table, dart board, hot tub, stereo, large DVD library, and multiple TVs you don't even need to leave to have fun! If you do decide to leave, there are hiking trails very close by and Lake Tahoe is only a short car ride away! The upstairs bedroom has a lot of open carpet space with a large walk-in closet and bathroom. The refrigerator is also very large. Just keep in mind this is a quiet neighborhood so keep volume to a minimum in the garage and in the hot tub during later hours of the night. Overall a GREAT location and a GREAT house. Will definitely come back again!

Matt (owner/property manager) were very professional, courteous, and helpful. He answered every email we had sent, very quickly. The property is very nice. The backyard is huge and kid friendly. Master bed is huge and has a bath tub. Overall the property is one of the biggest and nicest around the neighborhood...

If you’re like us, a big part of making our decision to rent a particular cabin was based on reading other renter reviews. The reviews we read on Matt’s property were excellent. The description of his property is impressive and now that we are back home after a week at Matt’s Chalet, the reviews were very accurate. So, we are not going to repeat previous reviewer’s comments. We took this decision serious because Tahoe is not around the corner from where we live in Tampa, FL. We needed to be certain that our choice best suited what we were looking for on our vacation. After almost two months of searching, we concluded that this Chalet had everything we were looking for, not only because of the property, but because of the great reviews. We also contacted the owner Matt, before making the final decision just to make sure everything was as advertised. We’ve rented in a lot of places and Matt is the most responsive owner that we have ever worked with! So refreshing to receive prompt responses to inquiries, regardless of the time. We would heartily recommend this to anyone who wants to be away from the hubbub of a downtown location, but still have easy access to beaches, restaurants, shopping, hiking and skiing.

We spent 7 days at Matt’s “Tahoe Chalet Retreat” and wish we stayed longer. It is spacious with awesome living areas up and downstairs. The hot tub on the upstairs deck provided unobstructed views of the bright stars.

We don’t have kids, but this is a great place for a family to stay! Lots of games for all age groups. My wife and I walked steps from the chalet to a beautiful trail where we saw a field of wild flowers and crossed small creeks. We hiked that trail for approximately 2 hours. It was very refreshing – very quiet.

From the start, we found the “check in” and “check out” instructions to be simple and easy to follow, hot tub instructions were straightforward, and there were three TVs (2 with Satellite programming)/Blu-ray players with dozens of dvd’s to choose from. We had a blast playing ping pong especially in the spotless garage!

We could not have been happier with Matt’s home or the overall experience. The house was clean and was just as it appeared in the photos. Our party included four adults, and the size of the home was more than specious enough. This area is safe and uncrowded! Peace and quiet is the norm.

Matt, thank you for your hospitality. We’ll come and stay again.

Superb Tahoe Chalet!

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in this Tahoe Chalet. My cousins were visiting from Ireland and had an absolutely amazing time enjoying the beauty of Lake Tahoe and its surrounds, and they couldn't believe this home's huge master bedroom suite where they stayed. And we all enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub while gazing at the stars at night! And I look forward to staying here again.
