Great for families and close to skiing

  • 5 of 5

The condo is nicely appointed and very well maintained. Kitchen and bathrooms are modern, spotless and well stocked. Fireplace, heating and hot water all working perfectly. Comfy beds with flat screen tvs in each room. We stayed here to enjoy some spring skiing at Northstar with our two boys over spring break. After a long day of skiing, it was nice to kick back, relax and make ourselves at home. The amenities are great as we made use of the community jacuzzi and sauna. The condo is also conveniently close to restaurants and grocery. The owners are very responsive and nice to work with.

Pretty perfect for what we needed in a Truckee stay

  • 5 of 5

This was our first time staying in Truckee in the winter and this condo was perfect for our family. The place feels spacious, has nice attention to detail, has a garage, and is super close to everything. We would definitely recommend it.

Comfy clean condo in a great location

  • 5 of 5

Four of us, two couples, stayed here for New Years 2016/17. We have a ski lease at Squaw every year but it doesn't start until after the new year so we needed a place for the holiday weekend. The condo is very well appointed, clean, roomy, and quite comfortable. Everything we needed was available to us and the owners provided detailed instructions before our stay - very helpful. The location is great - close to the mountains, groceries, downtown Truckee (we even walked home on New Years Eve!), Truckee Bagel (great bagels, so-so service), and our favorite pizza joint, Village Pizza. We have friends who own in the same complex, so it was nice to be near them as well!

My only feedback items are (1) no bathroom door in the master bedroom. Not really a big deal but privacy is preferred and it would have helped to block the light coming in from windows above the shower (tip: hang towels over the shower doors to help block the light). (2) A lot of noise from upstairs neighbors. We found ourselves really annoyed and getting headaches from the constant "bam bam bam" of their footsteps. I think they were doing laps. We could also hear them opening and shutting doors/cabinets. Not sure if they were especially loud or if there is just poor sound proofing or both, but it was a bit distracting from an otherwise comfortable and peaceful stay. (3) Remember to turn off the patio light in the back at night (assuming you knew you turned it on in the first place) or neighbors will come over to complain.

None of these items are deal breakers and did not prevent us from having a great weekend or from enjoying our stay. Thanks for offering this great condo! We would definitely stay again!

We had a wonderfully cozy stay at The Boulders

  • 5 of 5

Thanks to Sue and Sean. We had a wonderful Christmas at Tahoe this year. We wanted to give our six-year-old son snow Christmas this year and the Boulders accommodated us wonderfully. We originally planned to go in on the 23rd, but the weather forecast predicted a snow storm on that day. We contacted Sean to see if we can come in one day earlier. On the 23rd, it was heavy snow while we were cozy up in the nice warm condo! There was lots of snow right outside of the patio, and our son played there with neighbor children. It was neat.

The condo had everything we needed, including lots of snow toys, board games, books and toys. We are big on board games. So, it was really great. And, kitchen had all we needed for a Christmas dinner. So, we really did not need to go out anywhere. Not to mention, the location was great for going out to snowplays!

So, overall, we were very happy with the Boulders and definitely would like to come back again.
