About Janette Roberts

A Chicago transplant since 1994 I reside in a suburb 20 minutes east of Seattle, Washington with my wonderful partner Larry Miller and our two pooches, Vino and Bella. An accountant by degree, I run my own bookkeeping company.

My dream has always been to own a waterfront property and Seal Cove Bungalow has made that dream come true. Dear friends built the bungalow and put in the the amazing patios and alcoves. They gave me a key and said the bungalow needs to be shared. A few years later I had the good fortune to purchase the bungalow and it has remained a place to be shared with family, friends and people who seek a respite. Once you arrive you won't want to leave. The tidal cove works its serene magic on one's senses. It's the reach of the timeless into our needful lives.

Janette Roberts purchased this bungalow in 2002

What makes this bungalow unique

This cabin bungalow is an amazing place on earth. Come and enjoy the peaceful sounds of nature and engage in kayaking on the Puget Sound with the seals. There is nothing better than a quiet morning of coffee, wildlife and sea stars, a day of adventures on the ocean and a roaring fire and a glass of wine at sunset.

Lovely, peaceful cabin

  • 5 of 5

Spent a weekend at Seal Cove in this lovely little bungalow. The location was just beautiful and was extrememly quiet and private during our weekend stay. A trio of seals spent hours watching us from their dock directly in front of the house, which was amazing. The property is very prettily landscaped with multiple places to sit outside and enjoy the birds chirping and the water and trees, and the cabin itself is comfortable and nicely appointed. Perfect for a weekend away from it all...

Perfect property for a local getaway

  • 5 of 5

Seal cove bungalow was just what we needed. Both my girlfriend and I work a crazy amount of hours during the work week. The waterfront access with kayaks was just perfect for a complete disconnect from the everyday madness. Bungalow was well equipped with everything we needed for our 4 night stay. Kayaks provide awesome access to Case Inlet and Harstine Island. The 2 pups loved consistent water play activities too! Jeanette was excellent with communication and I we would love to come back in the future to enjoy the property again.

Peaceful but pesky

  • 4 of 5

It was a great stay for me and my significant other as well as our pups, was a great escape from our city living and work lives except for the bee problem, there most certainly is a yellow jacket nest and my boyfriend was stung twice we also were unable to enjoy being outside on the deck because of the bees, we noticed the property had traps all over but they still were everywhere that was our only downfall, besides the terribly uncomfortable bed but otherwise it was peaceful and beautiful and we were grateful for the great stay so thank you. We also loved the kayaks that was my favorite part and we loved seeing the harbor seals!

Amazing escape not far from Seattle

  • 5 of 5

We loved this bungalow for a nice getaway with the dog and baby. The property was clean and well maintained. The property is laid out so that you'll feel like you are the only people on the inlet. We always had prompt replies from the owner which was great when we decided last minute to extend our stay for an extra night.

We stayed for three nights and spent all our time relaxing on the property. There are a lot of great spots to sit and read, the dog loved playing in the water, and having those kayaks was an awesome bonus.

I couldn't stop taking pictures of the view, it was incredible and there were a lot of seals to watch.

This was exactly the getaway we were looking for and we can't wait to visit again.

Beautiful property, we had a great time!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I had an amazing extended weekend at this quaint little cabin. Scenery is breathtaking and so much to do without ever leaving the property. Would recommend to anyone who wants a quick getaway that's still close to the cities. Great staycation for us!
