About Ralph Fisher
I helped my grandparents build this house in the mid- 1970s. I worked the sawmill on site in the summer of 1975. The logs came from poplar trees we cut on Cold Mountain. In 2014 the lodge was given to me and I've put my heart into building a place for others to enjoy. I hope you visit and end up loving Cold Mountain as much as I do.
Ralph Fisher purchased this Cabin in 2014

What makes this Cabin unique

Beautiful Rustic Cabin, make you feel like you've traveled back in time. Gorgeous views and serene atmosphere. Great get away to relax and unwind. Property owner was very helpful and overall experience was great.
Great stay, great owner, great manager!
This was THE BEST vrbo rental we have do so far. If you want a beautiful setting with drives, walks, and views of your porch that
Bob Ross would paint stay at the Cold Mountain Lodge. You will not regret it. We had zero issues during our stay and will be coming back for sure. We stayed during the fall but anytime of year would be wonderful.
Cabin in the mountains
It was exactly as described and what we were looking for. Very remote, relaxing, fulling surrounded by nature.
Perfect Mountain Escape!
We were looking for a place to disconnect and enjoy the mountains, the Cold Mountain Cabin was perfection! The rustic charm was everything we expected from the pictures, reading the description and reviews. We spent the mornings on the deck drinking coffee listening to birds and the waterfall, and the evening drinking wine while watching the stars. The location was perfect for exploring nearby towns and walks in the woods, but honestly hanging out at the cabin and on the property was the most relaxing part of our trip. Thanks to Ralph for sharing his home, we hope to return soon!
Jean-Marie. Thank you for your kind words. We look forward to seeing you next year. Ralph
Labor Day Weekend
Hi my sister and I stayed in Cold Mountain Cabin over Labor Day Weekend and had a very nice and quiet time there. We have been dealing with our mothers home getting it ready for the market and we really needed some quiet and relaxing time. The only thing that I would suggest is to do a little manicuring around the outside and along the walkways. We do hope that we can make it back again later. Thank you for your hospitality.
Thank you for your visit. I'm going up the NC this week and I'll get out the weed eater. We'll see you again soon. Ralph
