Our go to house in Sarasota

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed in this house several times while in town visiting family. The house is well appointed and comfortable. The neighborhood is quiet and feels safe. The location is close to shopping and restaurants. The manager has always been very helpful.

I stayed here with my wife, my son, and my sister and laws family. The house was very spacious even with a toddler and baby on vacation. One of the nights we had the family members that live locally come over for dinner and everyone fit very comfortably.

The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of cooking equipment, flatware, coffee maker, appliances...... There was a wall with non-functional outlets but it didn't effect us as there were operable ones on the other wall.

Location was clutch. Only a few minutes and you are pretty much anywhere in Sarasota and Siesta Key. The neighborhood is nice as well. We spent most time away during the day.

AC worked well.

The bed, pillows, and lack of curtain in the master bedroom was the only downside.

Great experience at a clean, nice, and comfortable home

  • 5 of 5

I booked this home so that my family would have a place to stay where we could all be together, not have to deal with multiple rooms and possibly going up and down the stairs or elevator at a hotel, and be close to the YMCA at Potter Park for the YMCA National Master's Swim Meet. This was the perfect location. The house has a lot of renovations which made it a pleasure to stay at. It has two bedrooms, one with two twin beds and the other with a large king or queen. The master bedroom has a bathroom attached to it. The other bedroom is next to a hallway bathroom. There is also a trundle bed (two twins) and someone could also sleep on the couch. There was good internet access and verizon T.V. with a lot of channels. There is a nice screened-in patio which my family had a pleasant dinner on one night. The neighborhood is very nice and safe. There are plenty of restaurants near by and the beaches are also very close. Bottom line, staying at this home was a great experience and if it's still available next year, we will be back.

Very disappointing

  • 1 of 5

My husband and I rented this home for the month of March 2016. I want to begin by saying that this home is located in a very nice, peaceful neighborhood with very nice neighbors. The home is also in a great location. Upon our arrival the Manager of the property greeted us at the home. He told us that the flooring of the home had been replaced last month and that the home "needed updates". As our stay continued we knew exactly what he meant by this statement. The kitchen is very ill equipped....the pots, pans, and baking sheets obviously needed to all be replaced. Bowls were very few along with the pots and pans. I contacted the Manager regarding the condition of these articles. 2 weeks later he brought us new pots and pans, etc. There also was not any electricity on a full wall in the kitchen. The Master Suite did not have a blind/curtain at the window (I put up pillowcases). The bed was a Full size squeaky bed on wheels and the mattress was terrible. In the descripion it is stated "you can stay home and enjoy the covered lanai". This lanai was not comfortable at all....the furniture was dirty and uncomfortable and the floor was cement. My husband said "it's too bad the lanai wasn't nicer so we could have enjoyed it". We have rented many homes in Florida and this is the worse home we have ever rented. I pointed all these things out to the Manager. He stated that the home is not set up for renters. We wish we would have been told this last year when we inquired about the home.

Owner's Response: We are really sorry this guest was disappointed. What she did not understand was that the home just got put back together after a disastrous water leak in the attic. It was unfair of her to bust me for taking two weeks to bring new pots and pans and bowls as she told me she didn't need them because they weren't cooking much anyway. Otherwise I would have done it the next day. Some of the furniture was damaged in the incident and we have since replaced it with new. The bedroom set is now a new king set that is very comfortable. Please see the new photos. Updates have been done and you will enjoy this place tremendously. See other recent reviews.

Great Location, Great Place

  • 5 of 5

Couldn't have been better, great location, close to just about everything. Beach was about 10 minutes away depending on traffic. We filled a week up with only traveling 10 - 15 minutes away. Hosts were very helpful in recommending places to visit. Would go back again.
