1 Bedroom, 1 Bath With Beautiful Mountain Views. Pool View In The Summer!
If you are coming to the Sugarbush area in winter or summer, our condo right at Lincoln Peak will not disappoint. It is the perfect retreat for a family vacation to the Mad River Valley. We had the unit completely remodeled in 2013, and have decorated it with an Adirondack theme in mind. It is cozy, inviting, and the perfect place to unwind after an epic day on the slopes, hiking, or biking! One taste of the vast terrain offerings at Sugarbush, or the inviting atmosphere of the local town and people, and you too will be hooked! As they say here, 'Come for the Mountain, stay for the Valley'! We strive to make our mountain home a place you'll want to return to year after year!
We are a second floor end unit, in what we think is the perfect location! We have a view of the pool right in our backyard in the summer, and the Spring Fling and Snowball trails in the winter! Our unit gets a lot of sun during the day, which keeps it cozy and warm from the cold. During the summer months, you can relax on our furnished patio, and listen to the babbling brook that is close by, or watch your kids in the heated complex pool only steps away! In the winter we keep our condo decorated festively. Our boys love to watch the snow cats grooming the trails right out our large picture windows! And you can sit and relax in the reclining leather chair (my husband's favorite) and see the trails right from where you are. Your skis can be stored in the locker outside, which you can ski right back to from the 'Out to Lunch' trail! There is no need for shuttles or buses here; the ski trail is right outside!
The nearby towns of Warren and Waitsfield offer grocery stores, some lovely local souvenir shops, a movie theater and great dining options. If you don't want to drive, you can walk right to the Village only steps away for a casual dinner at Pizza Soul or a nice candle-lit affair at Chez Henri. There is also The Rek pub if you wanted to play a game of pool and have a drink while waiting for your dinner. Over at the base of Lincoln you have all of the Sugarbush Resort restaurants, like Timbers, or the Castlerock Pub. Or a day at their spa too. Basically, you can make your vacation whatever you want - the options are limitless! And you may just want to stay in too...
The unit has a large open concept living / kitchen area, with pull-up bar seating, and separate dining table that seats 6. The kitchen was completely redone in 2013 and has all new appliances, and everything you need to cook some wonderful après ski dinners. There is also a slow cooker for those of you who prefer to have dinner waiting for you after a long day outdoors!
The living room is cozy and comfortable with ample seating. There is a queen size pull-out chaise sofa, and 2 chairs. An new gas fireplace with stone hearth and log mantle for warmth and ambiance. There is a 47" LED HDTV above the fireplace with a 3D sound-bar, and a Blu-ray player. Our cabinets hold an array of movies, games and books for your down time.
After a tiring day on the slopes or whatever you've been doing, we take great pride in providing you with a cozy place to crash. Our bedroom has a large queen sized log bed, and a twin over twin log bunk bed. The bedding and mattresses are so comfortable, that you will be asleep dreaming of the epic day you had on the slopes, before you can say, Organgrinder!
The bathroom and entry-way were also completely remodeled with stone tile floors, open hooks, bench and cubbies for easy storage of all your outdoor gear. The bathroom is decorated with the mountain theme as well.
We love our Sugarbush retreat, and hope that you will too!

About David and Alaina Shevchik
We are a local Vermont family of 4. My husband and I both grew up in Vermont and love the area! We were married in 2003, and initially lived in South Carolina. My husband is in the Air Force, so we have traveled a lot, and have been blessed to have our travels take us to places like the Great Wall of China. Through all of our travels, we loved Vermont the most, and in 2007 we were lucky enough to have the opportunity to move back home to Vermont. We have 2 crazy boys that can both out-ski us! We love the outdoors, hiking, biking, climbing, swimming... whatever it is. We have family close by, and can share our memories with them too. It has been a wonderful place for our family to come and relax, and enjoy time together!

Why David and Alaina Shevchik chose Warren
Growing up in Vermont, the outdoor culture and beauty here become a part of you. We are lucky to live nearby in Essex, Vermont, and every day I am in awe of just how beautiful the rolling mountains are. We had been looking for a second property for some time; we considered the Gatlinburg area of Tennessee, a little home on the Cape, or a camp on a nearby lake. Nothing felt right, until we were introduced to these condos through some friends. We saw the potential of the unit, we loved the location, and we felt like it would be a perfect place for us to come and really get to enjoy our beautiful state without the stresses and chores of 'home'. This is where we come to get away. As my husband always says, 'it's only an hour drive, but it feels like we are really on vacation!'.
What makes this Condo unique
My husband and I love skiing, hiking, swimming, or whatever adventure the seasons offer. Here at Sugarbush, we have found the perfect place to enjoy all that we love about Vermont. There is the ski resort in our backyard, mountain trails to climb or bike on, and fabulous swimming holes all around. The town and locals are truly the most laidback and nice people you will find. This is not an uppity or pretentious mountain. This is quintessential Vermont. With all of the ski choices in the east, we fell in love with the relaxed and 'local' feel of the mountain. Our kids know their way around - and to them, this mountain is home. We love our getaway place, and hope that it will remain in our family for years to come!

Conveniently located and family friendly.
My family of 4 thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Cozy condo with great games and toys for the kids. The space was clean and the beds were comfy. My kids are already asking to go back.
Excellent choice for family ski trip
A well-appointed, beautiful condo that is very close to the slopes and base of Sugarbush (Lincoln Peak). We are a family of five who enjoyed our four nights here for a ski trip. While the most immediate access to the ski trail was temporarily blocked by construction, it was a fairly short walk to point where one could ski to the base. The kitchen is beautiful and well-stocked with equipment, the bedroom was comfortable, with some room for a portable crib for our youngest. Views of the slopes from the balcony. No clothes washer or dryer, but for a shortish trip it had everything we could have wanted. Owners were very responsive and kind when we accidentally locked ourself out of the unit.
We loved our stay in this beautifully decorated and cozy condo on the hill. From the moment we entered the door, it felt like home.
very cozy and clean. we loved the fire place. just a few steps from the mountain.
Enjoyed our ski vacation in this very nice condo. Will be renting it again, soon I hope! :-)
Thank you for letting us stay in your condo. It was a real plus to stay so close to Sugarbush Resort. We skied for three days in a row and wre able to ski in and out via close by trail. We enjoyed dessert at Chez Henri in Sugarbush Village, shopping in Warren, shopping and dining in Waitsfield, and visiting the Ben and Jerry's factory in Waterbury. The condo was clean and had everything we needed to prepare meals.
Enjoy a slice of Vermont living at it's finest. The Mad River Valley area that our Sugarbush condo is located in has everything you could want to truly experience Vermont in any season. Our perfect winter day would start off with a leisurely breakfast at home, or maybe grabbing a delicious breakfast sandwich from the Paradise Deli on the mountain road. Pretty soon the mountains will call, and we'll strap on our skis and start our day. We'll warm up on the blues off of the Gatehouse lift, and soon be skiing Eden's Woods off of Super bravo. When our kiddos need a break (or maybe it's really us) we're right there at Allen's Lodge on the top of the Super bravo lift to relax by the fire, and enjoy the best hot chocolate and chili you can find. We'll finish up our glades run, or take a final run on Birdland or Organgrinder, and grab a chocolate glazed sugar waffle at the Waffle Cabin for the kids next to the gatehouse lift for the way home. There's après ski bars to stop in, like the Castlerock pub, or the Pine Tree Pub. Or maybe we'll just lounge in our own cozy condo and enjoy the fire and views of the mountains. Maybe it's a holiday weekend, and after dinner we'll walk over to the roaring bonfire at Castlerock Pub and watch the torchlight parade come down Spring fling, followed by the fireworks that our kids and we agree are some of the best we've seen (because you're so close!). But even in the summer, we find our days full of adventure here. If we're feeling lazy, but the day is hot, we'll pack a picnic and head for the Lareau swimming hole at the bottom of the mountain road. There, we can swim in a nice deep pool, or jump off the low rocks. Maybe we'll finish the day off with a delicious dinner at American Flatbread right across the road. If we're feeling a little more adventurous, we could take a right at the bottom of the mountain road, and drive a bit into Warren. On the right we'll see the pull off for the Warren falls. We'd hike down the short paths that lead to the pools at the bottom of the falls for a nice dip in the beautiful setting. Or again, the braver among us would climb the rocks to cliff jump. On another day we may stay local and start the day with a close hike up one of the many surrounding peaks. Our boys love to hike to the top of one of the lifts and have lunch while sitting in the lift chairs. When we come back, we can take a dip in the pool right in back of our condo. In the fall, I think a day of hiking or biking to enjoy the beautiful foliage is the best. There are lots of mountain biking trails in town, like the more rugged Millbrook path, or the kid friendly paved Waitsfield Village path. If there's a good movie playing, we could grab dinner and a show at the Big Picture theater in town. Or maybe it's a day where we want to just set out in the car and take a drive through the Lincoln Gap to get some great photo ops of the Vermont fall scenery. You can't go wrong with any choice! If you're lucky, maybe there's an event going on. It could be the Brew Festival that you can walk over to at the base of Lincoln Peak. You can enjoy the live music, beers from all over New England, and enjoy the Vermont scenery with a cold one in hand. Or maybe the Waitsfield air show is going on, and you can watch planes from different eras, along with a glider show that is unbelievable. If it's hot, grab an ice cream cone from the vendor, and remember you can always take a dip in the heated pool right in our backyard. There is so much to do, that no one season will be your favorite. This is, quintessential Vermont at it's best.
