Why Sharon Lynch chose Hamptons

We fell in love with the sunsets and location of this property, having always dreamed of living waterfront in the Hamptons someday. We currently live nearby. Someday we may move there, but until then, it will be yours.

What makes this house unique

The house is located in a lovely community, almost equidistant from Southampton, Sag Harbor and Bridgehampton. In the neighborhood you will see a lot of young families, people walking dogs and young couples. It's safe and private and features a community marina which you wont need as house has it's own private dock. When we first saw this house we just couldn't stop looking at the incredible water views throughout. There is a host of wildlife that stops by and some of the neighbors feed the swans and ducks, so they come by often. I have a paddle board and it is a joy to use there.

Great stay!

  • 5 of 5

We had lots of fun at our stay. We spend a week in the house. Everything we needed was there and more. We used the kayaks and paddle boards. What a fun thing to do. Enjoy the water and beautiful scenery. The house is very central. We drove to another little town every day.

Really love Long Island with its beautiful nature. Go to Elizabeth A Morton park, feed the birds. Don't forget to bring bird seed. The chipmunks come run to you and little birds land on your hand.

We loved the beach Coopers beach but also Montauk. Thanks Sharon for the suggestions.

Fantastic 2 week stay here August 2016 through Labor Day!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I have traveled the world and are very experienced staying in luxury resorts (Four Seasons, Peninsula, Montage, etc.) and we loved this property. We brought friends out from Texas and it was very comfortable with 6 adults and our 2 year old God son. Our favorite times were sitting on the outdoor patio looking at the beautiful still water in the mornings (watching ducks, swans and we even saw some wild turkeys) as well as relaxing on the patio at night with tiki torches blowing in the gentle breeze. The beds were all very comfortable, and all our guests commented on how well they slept every night. We all took showers before dinner and had plenty of hot water. The location is also great, easy to get to Watermill, Souhampton and Sag Harbor within 15 minutes driving.

Sharon the owner was very responsive and was even nice enough to go buy a few extra kitchen supplies that my "chef-trained" wife requested to cook a few elaborate dinners for 6 adults. But, the house had everything we needed and our guests liked being able to paddle board or kayak right from the dock in the backyard. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets every night from the back yard and we rented a ski boat for 2 days--because we could drive it right up to our own private dock. This house is also close to several local beaches but you need a car to drive there.

It always bothers us if there is nothing negative at all written in online reviews...so the only things we could think of were: it only has 2 showers so someone has to share (but it does have a 3rd half bath) and apparently it has no garbage disposal, which may be due to local regulations. For a rent house, we really enjoyed it and would definitely go back to stay there again!! We highly recommend this property!

Also, our favorite restaurants were: Lunch/The Lobster Roll on the right side out past East Hampton, Nick & Toni's, Silvers' BLT is my very favorite lunch--must share it because it's huge!, Topping Rose House (Jean Georges), Tutto il Giorno sitting outside, The Beacon (doesn't take reservations) and we love the gelato at Sant Ambroeus. Crow's Nest in Montauk is worth the drive for an early dinner and visit the cool "dive" pub called Murf's in Sag Harbour.

Owner's Response: Thank you Tracy for such an good and thoughtful review. You and your wife were terrific tenants and your friends. I am always glad to hear feedback so I can learn from it. The garbage needs to be taken to entrance in a 'wheelie' bin every Tuesday for pick up, which was in the instructions for the house, but in small print. I will make sure to highlight it going forward. I am so sorry I didn't make it clear or if you were inconvenienced. Thank you for drawing my attention to it. Come back anytime. Best Sharon

Just pack a bag

  • 5 of 5

We so enjoyed our stay here. Sharon was an excellent hostess and has not left out any details. There was nothing left for us to bring except our clothes. There were tons of books, games and activities. The view was completely amazing and we enjoyed the kayaks. The kitchen was a dream to cook in and we made great use of the grill as well. The location was excellent - convenient to both Sag Harbor and Southampton. Will definitely go back. Thanks for a lovely visit Sharon!!!

Excellent Choice

  • 5 of 5

We were very pleasantly surprised upon arrival. The home is in great condition, very clean, well equipped with extra towels, sheets and all the kitchen equipment you could need - and all ( tv's, wifi, etc) in perfect working order and with proper instructions. My wife and I visited with our 4 year old twins and nanny, and the size and layout of the house was perfect for the five of us. The two living areas are helpful, the beds are comfortable, and again - all very clean.

The neighborhood is quiet and for us it was a perfect location, being close to not only Southampton, but to Sag Harbor and beyond. Sharon was proactive in anticipating our needs, wonderful to deal with and made herself available for anything at all.

Last but not least, the home's setting is idyllic - the sloping back yard, the trees, the dock, the beautiful views of the bay are just perfect to wake up and come home to. Highly recommended!

Perfect retreat

  • 5 of 5

It's always so delightful when a place exceeds your expectations - and that's how we felt about Sharon's beautiful home. It's perfectly situated between Southampton & Sag Harbor. We only wish the living space in our home home was as perfectly laid out as this one. Sharon is a thoughtful host & has paid careful attention to detail.

Fabulous!

  • 5 of 5

We have rented thru VRBO all over the US and rent our vermont home thru the website. This home is in the top .5 percent of all the properties we have ever rented. It is immaculate, fully stocked and extremely well-located. We had an extremely relaxing weeks stay and wish we were still there.

All of the issues of the hamptons - traffic, rude season folks, etc - are avoidable in noyac/North Sea. This is a great location and it was an exceptional getaway!

The best local corn grower and farm stand in the area is North Sea Farms, brother to Tates cookie guru. you can find Tates bakery goods here too. Its less than a mile from the house.

There is a wonderful deli about 6/10's of a mile for sundries. SYS (Southampton youth services) has an incredible facility about a mile away with running tracks, gym, fitness class and tennis programmes for youth and adults.

Here is a web page list of local area public golf courses, Montauk Downs is wonderful, as is Indian Island. http://longislandgolfnews.com/blog/hamptons-montauk-north-folk-public-golf-course-guide/
