Year Purchased: 2005
About the owner: One of us is a builder/sculptor, the other is an historian/author. We both love to redo old, and especially smaller properties, to create unique spaces filled with character, color and light. We are not wealthy, but we have some talents.
Why the Owner Chose Langdale, BC, Canada:
One of us used to sail; the other is an inveterate kayaker and swimmer. Both of us find peace in the setting. And those rare days when you want more, drive north and explore Sechelt, Secret Cove or hop another ferry to Pender Harbor and the awesome Skookumchuck Rapids. Or do you need some city time? Walk to the ferry and go visit Vancouver by bus without the hassle of parking.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
No one is closer to the water than we are. We had to carefully and completely rebuild this old cabin into a new house to preserve that proximity. It was worth the years of work.
