Multi generation girls trip
A great place to stay . Our group ranged in age from 3 to 70. Very kid friendly with toys for the little one. Easy access to Waterton Park. Beautiful view. Well stocked and organized kitchen. Best VRBO I've ever stayed in!

Perfect house near Waterton
Our family of 3 kids and 4 adults loved our stay in this house! It was clean, comfortable, and cozy. Beautiful mountain views! Kids loved "their" own upstairs space. Kitchen was well stocked, and Jan gave us great recommendations for Waterton.

Family trip
This is a beautiful home in a lovely setting. Quiet and with all the amenities that a small or large group could possibly need. Help is just a phone call away and they are very attentive and helpful. Close to Waterton National Park and yet offers a lovely view of the prairie with horses and cattle out the back door. We loved it.

quiet, peaceful, perfect location
JAN was the perfect hostess! Gave us all the privacy we wanted, and has a house better organized than any I have ever experienced! Everything we needed was there, and she even baked us cookies! She is a genuinely nice person. This location for exploringWaterton lakes park couldn't be better, a quick and easy 15 minute drive. We stay in VRBO 's every year and this is our 10th year; this was by far the nicest and most conscientious owner we have experienced, and we all felt most appreciative😁👍👍👍

Excellent stay!
What a lovely home! Had everything we needed, and more. Host was so kind and made sure we were settled in as well as telling us about the local attractions and bringing us fresh baked cookies! Everyone from my 8 year old son to my 75 year old father in law found something enjoyable to do in the house. My kids enjoyed the books, toys, and games. There were many thoughtful choices for younger children too, such as a high chair and potty seat. We loved sitting by the fire pit and playing croquet in the yard. The location was close to Waterton, there was a gas station/general store in walking distance, and a larger town about 15 minutes away. Views of the mountain were great, we saw an adorable family of foxes playing in the yard, and the stars were amazing to look at. If we’re ever in the area again we will definitely try to stay here again!

Relaxing getaway
Chief Mountain Lodge is a great place to stay while visiting the greater Waterton area. Close enough to visit all the sites, but the quietness you want at the end of the day. The lodge had everything we wanted and great views. The host were great too. Definitely would stay here again.

Chief Mountain Lodge
The lodge is in a beautiful area and the view from the living room is a million dollar one. Our family has stayed here before and really enjoyed the back garden. It’s great for lawn darts and bocce. There is plenty of room for everyone and great sleeping accommodations. Our only suggestion is that the stairs to the loft can be very slippery if you have socks or bare feet. Thanks for having us.

Great vacation rental
Easy to find. Well kept home. My wife and 2 of my adult daughters were with me. Jan greeted us when we arrived and gave us lots of ideas for things to do in the area. She’s great and she clearly wanted our stay to be wonderful. And it was. Lots of space in the home. A distant view from the living room of Chief Mountain beyond the green grassy fields. The house was well furnished with everything we might need. We would definitely rent this home again if we go back to the Waterton lakes area. Takes about 20 minutes to drive to Waterton Village from this location. We also drove to Many Glacier in Montana to spend a day hiking and looking for wildlife. Takes about 90 minutes to get to the Many Glacier park entrance. Boarder crossing was a breeze both ways. We really enjoyed our stay.

Gorgeous view, comfortable accomodation
The vista from the ample front windows of Chief Mountain is stunning. Big, big sky! The house is well set up for visitors, and the kitchen is well-equipped. Comfortable beds. The only contention we had was the expectation in the terms and conditions that guests were responsible to clean the house after use; considering the nightly fee, we thought this was inappropriate.

Great space, beautiful view
My family (ages 16 to 80 plus) had a great time here. Waterton is very close and the drive is lovely. The lodge has lots of room and is very comfortable for a group. The firepit and porch were great. And the view out those big windows is incredible. Really nice!

Wonderful chalet with a great view of Chief Mountain!
We booked the Chief Mountain Lodge for two nights and enjoyed our stay very much. The cabin looks out at a beautiful view of Chief Mountain and has a nice deck with a picnic table and chairs that are great for meals on the patio, coffee in the morning, etc. There is also a nice large grass yard to enjoy outdoor games with your family and friends. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need, and the bathrooms have plenty of towels and toiletries. The beds are comfortable, although the bedroom in the loft has no window or ventilation and was too warm for a comfortable sleep during the period of our rental. The area of Mountain View is very close to Waterton, and we found this to be the perfect rental for a family of six who wanted to drive back and forth to Waterton for hiking, etc. The area is very quiet, and private. All in all, a wonderful stay in a lovely setting. Thanks for a great weekend!

I am not a native to Mountain View area having grown up in Calgary but my husband and I have lived here for the past 18 years. Three of our 5 children also live here and 13 of our 17 grandchildren. I was a Dental Hygienist for 30 years but have been in the hospitality industry for the past 18 years in Waterton and in Mountain View. So you could say I went from cleaning teeth to cleaning toilets!! I hope that your stay at Rocky Mountain Guest House will enable you to get out and explore this part of Southern Alberta and come to love it as much as I do.

What makes this property unique

You never get tired of viewing Chief Mountain, weather it be in the early morning, late evening, or seeing the storms surround it's grandeur. You may also enjoy the shaded lawn area, reading a book and looking up to take in the view and bird watching.
