About Andrea R. Scarfone
I was born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada and studied at Lake Superior State University in Sault Ste. Marie, MI, USA. Worked in Healthcare & Human Services at the administrative level most of my life. I have lived my adult life in Northern Michigan and currently reside in Mid Michigan. My long-time girlfriend owned this once - cottage and was in her family for 50 years. I had the opportunity to enjoy this very special place 13 years ago and fell in love with it. Now, my fiance & I have pledged to carry on her family's tradition of making special memories for us as well as others. This cottage was completely renovated in 2005 and went from 1 bedroom with a loft and 1 bath to 4 bedrooms and 2 baths. McNearney Lake is an amazing, magical place to make memories. We invite you to share it's uniqueness so that you, too, may make special memories with your family and friends also.
Andrea R. Scarfone purchased this House in 2002
Why Andrea R. Scarfone chose Eckerman
My fiance & I have taken over my long-time friend's property. This was originally a family property that my girlfriend's parents purchased in 1963. She acquired the property in 2002 when it was passed down to her from her father.

The drive to the house was beautiful and the house exceeded my expectations!
10/12/18-10/14/18 - We arrived at 5 p.m. Friday night and the house was beautiful and the sights were amazing. We had a great view from the living room overlooking the lake.
Pristine and private
We really enjoyed our recent weekend at the property. The home is very cozy and easily accommodated our large group. The beds were comfy. The kids had a great time with the paddle boat and raft. The kids (and one brave grown-up),had a late September dip in the lake! A little slice of paradise. We used it as a base for visiting the Toonerville Trolley narrow gauge rail and ferry boat tour up the Tahquamenon River (highly recommended). Thanks for the memorable stay. We hope to visit again.
Great property and great time!
My family enjoyed everything about this property and we would definitely return!
Very nice house, beautiful lake and excellent accommodations!
Would definitely recommend and stay here again!

Great Family getaway!
This is a great place to stay, one of the best we have been to. Great house, peaceful lake and enjoyable for all ages. Our kids had a great time swimming and playing in the lake. Close to Tahquamenon Falls State Park where we got to swim and play in the falls, and also made it to Canada for an afternoon. I loved that were were remote enough to see the amazing night sky including the Milky Way, but less than an hour from other great places for a day trip. Highly recommend and good chance we will go back.
