*** A Note From the Owners of Ka Hale Huna***

Along with the very comfortable suite for two you will also be welcomed with fresh flowers picked right out of my botanical gardens just for you, orchid plants in bloom that were grown in my shade house, and a fruit basket full of fresh local fruits, whatever happens to be in season at the time and will be replenished during your stay. If you love huge, buttery avocados then come during September through November. Just a few steps from your door you can pick your own tree ripened avocados.

Ka Hale Huna offered peaceful tranquility and beautiful views from our private lanai. Morning wake up calls were provided compliments of the tropical birds in the canopy just outside our door. We were welcomed with a basket of fresh fruit havested from Char's lovingly tended gardens, macadamia nuts, and 100% Kona coffee. The personal garden tour is not to be missed. Char's personal knowledge of the area proved quite valuable, as she provided advice on the best eateries and places to visit, often frequented by only the locals "in the know". We will most certainly return to Ka Hale Huna on our next visit to the North Shore.

A quiet departure from the hubbub of Honolulu

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I just finished a 3 week stay with Char and Chris, and we were delighted with it. After having stayed in Honolulu many times we felt it was time for a change of pace, and Sweeping Views proved to be exactly what we wanted. Here we had the excitement of Banzai Pipeline surfing (observers only), historic nearby Haleiwa, and beautiful mountains that parallel the north shore, At night, we could return to this quiet, secure home set against a beautiful little valley where, oftentimes, the only sounds were birdcalls and wind. My wife saw four wild parrots rise up and give us a fly by. We are nterested in Hawaiian history and culture, and Char is a wealth of information about little known places not mentioned in travel brocures (ask about the Royal Birthing Stones). I could go on, but I will finish by saying we will stay at Sweeping Views again if we are blessed to return to Oahu.

Lovely and Relaxing

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for 9 days and enjoyed a very quiet and relaxing time. The rental is conveniently located to Waimea Valley, popular surfing beaches, the Foodland grocery store and the farmer's market at Sunset School. Char and Chris were available if we needed them, otherwise we had total privacy. They are extremely hospitable and accommodating and gave us fresh flowers, fruits and Kona coffee. We were invited for a tour of their beautiful garden along with an explanation of the various species of trees and plants. They suggested we try a catamaran ride to view whales which we did and thoroughly enjoyed.

Good size property with well equipped kitchen. Stunning views from the hilltop location. Char and Chris are welcoming hosts. Well located for access to beaches but you do need a car. Supermarket conveniently located at the turnoff to the property. Highly recommended.

Beautiful Property

  • 5 of 5

A beautiful quiet property in the North Shore area, Char's apartment is in a great location for exploring Haleiwa and the Waimea Valley. We appreciated the welcome basket and the tip for a hiking trail just up the road, when we mentioned we liked to hike. Thanks to Char and her family for the hospitality!
