( NOW HAVE A HEATED POOL) Our condo overlooks the entire bay with 'Romantic Sunsets', the mainland and portions of the Gulf of Mexico by balcony. GREAT VIEW of the Fireworks displays on Friday evenings. Our condo is only 90 feet from the Gulf of Mexico / beach, swimming pool, hot tub and our beautiful landscaped grounds, even Sand Toys for any young children wanting to romp & play on the Beach. This Condo is FULLY equipped with ALL the amenities as if you were in your own HOME! The building offers 24 hour security; gated parking, laundry, 2 saunas, small exercise room. Also, WIFI in a business center and WIFI internet in our condo. The Condominium Building sits on the beach of the Gulf of Mexico. The condominium is within walking distance of all shops and a majority of the restaurants. We also, are close to Schlitterbahn's Waterpark. The Wave, a local FREE transportation vehicle is always accessible to the complex and it runs every half hour.

Our names are Joe & Carol Morgan. We live in Prior Lake, MN. and our story is this. We were getting tired of the FREEZING Winters in MN. and we had traveled down to the Gulf of Mexico to visit transplants from MN. in Brownsville, TX., where we as avid Fisherman fell in love with the waters of the Gulf and great fishing, along with the beautiful beaches & the greatest relaxing terrain of the South. It is our HOME away from Home; as we refer to it, our ISLAND PARADISE!

Why Carol & Joe Morgan chose Gulf Coast

We visited many properties on the Island, but the Aquarius was so centrally located on the Island and close to everything we had to check it out. The VIEW from our Unit is AWESOME! You see the whole Island, the Causeway coming across the Bridge from Port Isabel, the entire BAY and the most BEAUTIFUL SUNSETS! Then we were impressed with the Gated secure building and then the extra happened that made us feel so at home. The friendliest Manager with Staff that you have ever seen. They are very helpful and keep you in the know for what is going on, how to get there and many other attractions that are a must, including the most tastiest Restaurants on the Island and in Port Isabel. We truly feel like it is a PARADISE

What makes this condo unique

The Aquarius, just steps down onto the Beach of the Gulf of Mexico from our security Gate on the back grounds of our beautiful landscaped grounds. Also to enjoy are our 3 Barbeque areas, lounge patio chairs & of course our outdoor Heated swimming pool and hot tub. Summer is the Greatest on the Beach. Also, our Winter Texans come here from Canada, Iowa, Lake Tahoe, Mn., Mo., N.Y., New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Wi., and many other states in the U.S.A. As an owner, we are right there with them and we organize many, many events for ALL to sign up and take part in. ALL join in on those they wish to. We ALL consider us FAMILY and enjoy everyday! The greatest attribute to this condo is the amazing owners. Carol was unbelievably caring, considerate, and accommodating. She went above and beyond what typical hosts would/could do. We truly appreciated they're kindness.

Best possible SPI location

We've stayed in this condo for 6 winters and love it every time.

It's on the beach with heated pool, jacuzzi, lawn area. 2 elevators. Gated parking. Coin laundry. Great staff.

We can walk to anything we need from clothing stores to CVS to Blue Marlin grocery store and Ace Hardware. Best of all, Daddy's (Almondy on Mondays!); Big Boys for shrimp, burgers, smoked ribs and loaded baked potatoes; Coconuts and Louie's on the Bay... even Stripes for yummy 99 cent breakfast tacos!

The free bus every 1/2 hour can take you all around the island and over to Port Isabel. When we walk further than we expected, we can catch the bus back.... So handy!

We love the island view... Reflection of the moon on the Laguna Madre Bay... Checking out the waves and tide on the gulf.

Condo easily sleeps 6. Well equipped. Cute touches everywhere!

Highly recommend! (Except Jan Feb March...when we're there!!)

Excellent location & nice, comfortable condo!

My family of 5 recently stayed in this condo, and we had a great vacation. The best part of the condo is the location - right on the beach - which makes it very easy to tote chairs, beach toys, umbrella, etc. to the beach. By the way, there are chairs, beach toys, boogie boards and a beach umbrella in the condo so you don't have to buy and bring all of that stuff! The pool area was nice as well, and the kids loved swimming in the pool, and there are at least 3 BBQ pits around the pool area that were being used every night.

As far as the condo itself, it was perfect for our family. Don't expect 5 star amenities because that isn't what this condo is. But if you want a comfortable condo with a full kitchen - which we used extensively to keep food costs down - and a condo with a cold AC, then this is a great place to stay. The balcony looks out mostly to the bay, and you have a great view of the city. If you're in this condo on Friday nights, you'll have the best view on the island of the fireworks show. We had no problems at all with anything in the condo, and we would stay here again if we travel to South Padre Island in the future.

Love this place!

We've stayed in this condo for three winters now and LOVE it!

Although we can see the Gulf of Mexico's surf and beach activities (parachuters, kiteboarders, sandcastle builders, walkers and joggers ) from the balcony, it's the Island and the Queen Isabella Causeway over the beautiful Laguna Madre Bay we love looking at from the 9th floor! We love watching the weekly fireworks; the pirate ship plying the waters along with the Thriller jet boat and jet skiers, parasailers, shrimpers and fishermen on the Bay.

The unit is nicely furnished, well equipped, and very comfortable with a large, open kitchen. Central AC, thick towels, nice sheets, beach toys.

Huge flat screen TV in LR. TV's also in both bedrooms - all with good cable stations. VCR/DVD and in-unit WiFi. Gated parking and a very secure building with great staff and landscaped grounds and pool/spa/BBQ/lawn area. Public TV, ping pong room and small exercise room.

Best of all, Aquarius is EASY walking distance to everything you could need or want! Big Boys BBQ/bar, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, Subway, Chinese/sushi are all on Padre Bl; Coconuts($1.50 great cheeseburgers!) Sunset, Louies Backyard, Palm Street Pier are all on the Bay (2-3 easy blocks); Palms Cafe and Wanna Wanna are on the beach. CVS, Ace Hardware, and numerous clothing/beachwear/souvenir shops are on Padre Bl. You'll also want to drive to Daddy's, Dirty Al's, Amberjacks, theatre, Sunday farmer's market and on and on - on the Island. Cross the Causeway to Pelican Station, Pirates Landing, Manuels, and White Sands!

Enough about food!! You'll love this condo and it's owners, Carol and Joe! (But we get first dibs on winter here!!)

It is a Paradise of everything one seeks, relaxation, excitement, adventure and of course the best; eating! I think you named all our favorites to! If anyone needs to work, we even have Internet set up in the Unit. We constantly have return guests and that is always our goal. We are blessed to make new friends all the time. This was more than we expected.

We have been on 16 vacations all the way from the caribbean to Mexico and Hawaii, being from Minnesota we like to go to warm places.

This year money was kinda tight so we didn't think we could go anywhere till i found a cheap flight down to Harlingen Texas, then we looked for somewhere to stay.

We came across this place because the price was right,didn't really expect much for what we were going to pay but to our surprise this place is very very nice,inside and out.

It was fully equipped with all we needed and more.The unit must have been remodeled not to long ago because everything looked new.The whole property was very,very clean inside and out.

My family and i had a great time and are so happy we went to this place,we walked a lot on the beach and looked at other resorts and decided if we came back next year we would for sure stay in the same unit because it was perfect.I would rate this property as a 4 star.

We have 2 teenagers one is 14 and one is 13 and sometimes they are hard to please when it comes to traveling but they were having so much fun down there,Fishing swimming,go carts,putt-putt,boogie boarding,shell hunting,horse back riding,atv's and BBQ's, it was nice not to hear them complain.

So thank you for the wonderful place to stay and we will see you next year.

P.S. This unit even had boogie boards ,umbrella and beach chairs in it for us to use.

A vacation for folks not to have to worry about anything needed in the Unit and especially a place for Total relaxation at reasonable & affordable prices! The Island has a lot to offer for excitement for all people, with or without families to enjoy. Many fine restaurants, movie theatre, souvenir shops of all kinds, a waterpark that is open mid-May through mid September, and many other outdoor activities. We even have FREE accessible transportation on the Island (The Wave), which stops every 1/2 hour on the hour in front of all locations giving rides to vacationers anywhere on the Island or even over to Port Isabel, on the mainland. We look forward to your next visit!
