Comfortable and charming retreat

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time in Rick's house. We came up to go skiing in Sierra-at-Tahoe, which is only a short drive away. The house is well equipped with everything you need, in great condition, spacious and our girls were sad to leave after only 2 nights. The area is very quiet and we all slept well.

Lovely spot in the woods

  • 4 of 5

We stayed here January 1st - 4th, 2118. The location is beautiful. The DVD collection is wonderful! We drove to Echo Lake and hiked on trail around it. I'm guessing there is often too much snow in winter to do this. GORGEOUS. We also hiked Lincoln Trail which is an old road right across meadow behind cabin. We cooked all of our meals in cabin, so were really grateful that we shopped at home, because Lira's grocery store, the only one nearby, was great for things we forgot but very small. I have one suggestion for the owner/cleaning crew; leave more bath and dish towels for renter use, if you are going to say they will be there. I didn't bring my own, and there were only four bath towels for five of us (We had registered for five.) and two dish towels for a three night stay.

Great location, clean, quiet, comfortable.

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I and our two girls enjoyed our ski weekend. Rick's house is a great location for such a trip -- it's a very short drive to both Sierra at Tahoe and Heavenly, as well as South Lake Tahoe. The house is cozy, quiet, and clean. We enjoyed watching one of the many movies in Rick's collection, reading books, and cooking in Rick's kitchen. Would come back again.

We enjoyed staying here for a week during the holiday season. The house has a fully staffed kitchen, clean bathrooms and cozy bedrooms. Nice place to stay.

Comfy and convenient

  • 5 of 5

The house is within easy reach of US50 without getting any noise to speak of. It's nice and warm (but not too warm) in the summer; I can't answer for the winter. Everything worked and the DVD library was very nice to have. Note: wash dishes by hand.

The meadow is fun for short walks -- it is more varied than it looks -- and dark enough for some star-gazing at night, if the sky is clear.

Nice and Quiet

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay at Rick's place. It had all the essentials you would need. I would recommend this home to others. It was very peaceful and very quiet, so quiet we relaxed and took many naps. My suggestion would be to have a larger variety of pamphlets of places to go (hikes, fishing spots, trails to walk).

Thanks again!!!
