About the property

Large Studio, 1 Bathroom, bright and sunny, overlooks garden and pond life

This 900 SF sunny, spacious private studio is a beautiful and peaceful home-base for relaxing as your personal retreat, easy trips into Port Townsend as well as a launch to explore the Olympic Mountains. It comfortably sleeps 2, but can accommodate 4.

Enter through garden gate and path, where you enter through your outdoor kitchen, into your cozy and welcoming studio/loft. There is a queen size bedroom alcove as well as a comfortable convertible couch (queen size), covered outdoor fully-equipped kitchen and indoor or outdoor eating area. The bathroom is large with a shower and laundry.

Located just 5 miles from downtown Port Townsend where you can enjoy artisan galleries, five-star restaurants, great shops, special music events and walks on the beach.

At home, enjoy sitting in the cozy bay window, watch ducks, eagles and herons land in the natural pond surrounded by Olympic forest trees. At the end of your day exploring, enjoy a campfire (fire wood and kindling ready for your use) and relax as evening descends. Guests have called this both magical and a luxurious way to experience nature so close to town.

If you like biking (and walking), we are near the Larry Scott bike/walk trail or use the many bike lanes to head to Fort Warden, town or points south. We are 40 minutes drive to the Olympic Mountains and an hour from Port Angeles where you can take the Blackball Ferry to Victoria, BC. Seattle is about 1.5 hours and Seatac Airport about 2 hours.

Internet is available, but noTV screen.

The Outdoor Kitchen:

The Outdoor Kitchen is just off your entrance, is covered and fun. The kitchen is fully-equipped with a refrigerator, sink, a full range oven, BBQ, microwave, electric teapot, coffee maker, and cooking supplies. We'll make sure you are supplied for your morning coffee and tea (nice array) along with fresh cream in the frig and honey in the cupboard. You'll also find Balsamic Vinegar, oil, salt and pepper. Eat indoors or out.

Your hosts (Randy and Jackie) live upstairs and greatly respect your privacy. We also desire to make your stay special and can give suggestions on where to eat and explore. This is a small farm with chickens and our cat Kibo, and garden so you will see us tending the animals and plants. Please feel free to visit them, making sure the gates close behind you!

Create Your Own Personal Retreat

The basics are all here for you to spend reflective time, journaling, walking the trails, sleeping in, doing yoga or pilates (we have the mats), drinking in the nature to feel restored and rejuvenated.

Extras are booking sessions with Jackie who is a holistic nurse healer, coach and Pilates instructor. You can book a session with her for an Energy Healing session, Pilates, or health coaching and her own special practice of Nature-Based Inquiry. Please Inquire!

**The pond is for the wild life to enjoy. There is no swimming or boating.

About Jackie Levin

Randy and I met in 2008. I just move from the Northeast and he was renovating my first cabin. We fell in love and dreamed of creating a place where people could come to feel relaxed and rejuvenated as well as be close enough to the Olympics and Port Townsend's great food, art, film and waterfront. And viola! I'm a nurse with a speciality in holistic healing, practice at our local hospital part time, offer holistic health and pilates classes part time. Randy is a furniture maker, builder, gardner and musician. We see ourselves as stewards of this beautiful place.

Jackie Levin purchased this studio in 2012

Why Jackie Levin chose Port Townsend

Randy and I love Port Townsend. Just 5 miles from great food, artist galleries, lots of music, film festivals, blues festivals, you name it festivals. The people are friendly and inviting. We have a boat and love to crab, fish and share the harvests from the sea.

What makes this studio unique

How we found this place was magical. Early one morning before heading to work we got the computer out looking at properties. Randy saw this one and even though it was 6 AM, we got dressed and drove to a location we never heard of, even though it was just 5 miles from where we were living. We drove down a road with beautiful trees and few homes. When we arrived, we both knew it was perfect. Lots of sun, passive solar heat, wood stoves, forests trails, old growth cedars, and a short walk to the bluff looking out over the Straits of San Juan de Fuca. We bought it the next day. Everyday we feel we wake up to the most beautiful place in the universe.

a magical place!

  • 5 of 5

Mom and I loved staying at this peaceful retreat. Everything was super-clean and the outdoor kitchen was surprisingly fun. Even the hide-a-bed was comfy! Randy and Jackie were kind and responsive throughout, and though it felt like we were a world away - there was a winery just 10 minutes down the road, and charming Port Townsend just a few minutes beyond that. Thanks for your thoughtful amenities, and for sharing this slice of Nature!

Wonderful quiet nature retreat!

  • 5 of 5

The place is terrific! Make coffee in the outdoor kitchen and sit and listen to the pleasing array of bird sounds. The pond down the hill attracts many birds and waterfowl. The living space inside is super homey and clean. Loved it! 15 minutes from Port Townsend.

OMG - amazing hosts and property

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I could not have been happier with the property, the amenities and of course our hosts Jackie and Randy.

Their place was the perfect retreat in a very peaceful setting.

Was close to Port Townsend with easy access to restaurants etc and centrally located for trips to the best hiking destinations - mountains, beaches, waterfalls and tide pools.

If you are traveling to the area we highly recommend considering this option.

Given the opportunity in the future we would return

fabulous place and wonderful hosts

  • 5 of 5

Jackie and Randy have created a bit of paradise (in my opinion).

I came for a week last September and had an amazing and magical retreat.

This time I brought my husband and he loved it too.

We had a great time. We especially enjoyed evenings at the pond watching the birds come in for the night.

It is a perfect spot to rest, listen to the quiet and re-group.

thanks you guys for building such a sacred space Victoria

What a lovely place!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and our two eight year olds loved this quirky, clean, and beautiful place to stay. The gardens and forest were lovely and inviting. The outdoor kitchen was fun and well stocked. We loved hearing all of the frogs at night and birds in the morning. Truth be told, we might have wished they were louder, but the walls were so well insulated! Some rentals are drafty, but not this one! It was toasty and warm and clean. Our host was kind, gracious, and mostly invisible. She was kind enough to let our kids follow her as she fed the chickens. It was a great place to unwind and have family time without screens.

A Slice of Paradise❤️

  • 5 of 5

This gem was absolutely gorgeous. On 11 acres of land with a pond. Jackie and her husband were so friendly and accommodating. They have veggie gardens everywhere and encouraged us to help them eat the food! Our "home" was cozy and has a covered outdoor kitchen. I know I'll be back soon.
