About the property

Located just above Swan Lake Nature Sanctuary in a quiet neighbourhood on a no exit street, this ground level apartment is nestled between native Garry Oak trees which provide dappled sunlight to a serene garden patio area. Guests may enjoy the private outdoor patio for a barbeque or to just relax in the sunny garden.

The apartment has one bedroom with a double bed. The living area converts into a 2nd bedroom with a Queen size Murphy bed. The entire apartment sleeps 3-4 people comfortably. The kitchen is fully equipped to create economical meals rather than dining out or to just have the convenience of brewing fresh coffee in the morning. Located a few minutes’ walk away are a selection of stores at Saanich Centre for fresh groceries, liquor, or a Starbucks latte.

If guests do not have a car or prefer to cycle, we provide two bicycles, helmets, and panniers. The Lochside and Galloping Goose Trails provide excellent safe cycling 20 minutes to downtown Victoria or further afield to Sooke or Sidney. If bicycling is not on your agenda then catch the bus from Quadra, Mackenzie or Saanich roads a few minutes’ walk away.

Other amenities include wifi, television with included Netflix, in-suite washer and dryer, as well as knowledgeable and friendly hosts living upstairs.

While the suite is available during the summer for short or longer stays, it is also available during the winter months (September to April) for minimum 3 month rentals. This location would be ideal for students attending the University of Victoria or Camosun College wanting a fully furnished suite, fully equipped kitchen & with linens provided, while attending to their studies.

Great spot, super clean and efficient.

The suite suited my son and I perfectly for a 5 day stay in Victoria. It's easy to get anywhere from here. The suite was immaculate and very comfortable. Would highly recommend!

Clean and comfortable

Property was is a basement suite clean and comfortable with basic services, two bedrooms and separate entry. We stayed 4 nights and had all that we needed. Easy access to Patrica Hwy which takes you to Ferry one way and downtown Victoria the other way.

Owner's Response: Our suite offers 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed & one with a queen size murphy bed which can be folded away so then the room becomes a living room for viewing netflix. The kitchen is spacious & fully supplied. Outside guests can enjoy their own private patio to barbeque or relax after a busy day exploring Victoria.

Cozy suite with great owners

This 2 bedroom garden suite is clean, comfortable, and pleasant. Location is excellent for Galloping Goose trail and Swan Lake Nature area. Laurel and Del have created a sweet apartment under their main home in a quiet and beautifully landscaped area of Victoria. The beds are excellent. Towels are big, fluffy, and plentiful. The kitchen is well provisioned. Laurel and Del give you as much privacy as you want, and are also warm and engaging when connecting. Great people. Great place to stay. Even has quality bicycles with helmets and locks for those who want to explore via bike. We'll hope to stay here again upon return to Victoria.

Great Location

This was the perfect location for exploring Victoria (straight shot into the city), Butchart Gardens, and the west side of the Island...also great for early morning walks.

Great quiet place to come home to after biking all day.

My husband and I wanted a place that was near the bike trails and close to downtown. We did not want to get a car and just wanted to enjoy as much of our time riding around the city. We had biked Lopez Island and then took the ferry to Sydney and road to the house that was in a quiet neighborhood right off the bike trail. We came into the house with beautiful flowers on the table and in the bathroom. Our host Laurel was wonderful. We used their bikes that they provided. It would be a bit of a walk to downtown but not with bikes. We rode to Butchart Gardens one day. There is also a bus stop at the bottom of the hill. We used the bus one night when I wanted to get dressed up. I cooked most meal at home. There was a grocery store and a wine store at the bottom of the hill. The little backyard would have been great if the weather was better. The place looks like it was newly remodeled. Very clean!!
