2 master bedrooms on the main floor with private baths and 2 bedrooms upstairs that share a full bath. Ideal for two families of 5 that vacation together. The two master bedrooms have king size beds. One bedroom up has full-size bunk beds and a twin, the other bedroom up has 2 full beds. We are kid friendly and offer a pack-n-play and bed-rail for the twin bed. There are pillows, blankets, bedspreads and mattress pads on all beds. All rooms have TV, except for the room with Bunk Beds.

Back deck with rocking chairs which overlooks the marsh. We see lots of wildlife, multiple deer, and bobcats have been seen. This side of the island is very quiet, and less traffic/noise.

:::LOCATION:::

We are approximately 500 feet from Ocean Blvd West. To the Right is private beach access (has a few stairs) for Sea Gull Drive's residents/tenants with a short walk of 94 feet. To your Left, there is PUBLIC beach access, a short walk of 211 feet (1 step up and down). We do have a cart to help you carry a few of your chairs to the beach.

:::About Holden Beach:::

Holden beach is “named best family beach in the united states by Dr. Stephen P. Leatherman, also known as “Dr. Beach,” Holden beach offers small-town charm and unspoiled beauty”. It is a family oriented beach and is the perfect place to relax, read, jog, and bike. “navigate a kayak or canoe along the picturesque Intracoastal waterway, and keep watch, for you may glimpse endangered loggerhead sea turtles as they surface for air. In this naturalist’s and wildlife haven, you’re sure to find something to delight your whole family—from spotting dolphins in the surf to playfully chasing ghost crabs with flashlights during an evening stroll. Have lunch on-the-deck at one of the several restaurants that sit beside the inter-coastal waterway. Here, you can watch shrimp boats cruise by as they make their way to and from the ocean.”

About Mike & Jessica Stearns

Our family has been coming to Holden Beach for over 35 years.

Mike & Jessica Stearns purchased this house in 2014

Why Mike & Jessica Stearns chose Holden Beach

We sold our family cottage on Holden Beach after 34 years, and after looking at a few homes built a great new home for our past renters to enjoy and for many new ones to settle in a beach we love for a memorable vacation.

What makes this house unique

Sitting on the back deck early morning and evening, you will see wild life coming in off the marsh. Many deer, wild birds, and even a bobcat. Minimal road noise at this end of the island. We have a pool for your enjoyment when the ocean has gotten to be too rough.

Perfect!

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed here for the last 2 years and everything has been perfect for our family. The house has a great layout and all of the extra amenities that come with the house are awesome. We also found out this is one of the few houses on the island that provides towels along with linens and we were very grateful to not have to bring our own! Thank you to the owners.

Beautifully appointed, beautifully maintained. And the pool!

  • 5 of 5

Our group of eight (seven adults and one energetic child) couldn't have been happier. The house was spotless and tasteful. It had every pot / pan / grill tool / pool toy / board game we wanted and then some. We contacted the owner once (we mistakenly left the pool umbrella up and it was wind-damaged in the morning) and the house manager once (the internet went down.) In both cases they were great to us. We loved the short walk to the beach, but we also spent a lot of time floating around in the pool & sitting on the surprisingly private back porch, admiring the beautiful marsh. We'd rent again here in a minute.

Wonderful Vacation Home

  • 5 of 5

Our family enjoyed our first visit to Holden Beach and hope to make this an annual event. Our accommodations were exactly as we had hoped. There is everything a family of all ages needs, the home is spotless, the pool well taken care of, and the walk to the beach is simply a few feet away. We could not have been happier with our stay. And thank you to our home owners for being so accommodating and easy to work with. We will always be extremely grateful.

A GREAT FAMILY PLACE!!!

  • 5 of 5

A long overdue vacation was made wonderful by our stay at this house. It was our first trip to Holden Beach and we had a great time. The house has everything you need, and then some! The beach chairs and carts were lifesavers as we had a bunch of stuff to take to the beach each day. The beach was just a short walk away and having a great private backyard pool completed this wonderful vacation! We would definitely come back and stay here again!

PERFECT!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 6 adults and 1 toddler had a wonderful week in Holden Beach and the house was perfect in every way! The kitchen was well stocked, the family room and bedrooms were comfortable and well appointed. The pool was indeed private as the house is on a quiet side street and backs up to the marsh. The owners have truly thought of everything, making sure there are plenty of beach chairs, umbrellas and sand toys for all! Even the little ones are provided a pack n' play and a highchair. Honestly can't think of anything that would have made the week any better! We will definitely be back!
