About the property

3 Bed, 1 Bath Perfectly Located

Antique Cape house in historic Pond Village in North Truro, just a 5-minute walk (0.3 miles) from beautiful Cold Storage beach on the bay side and a 5-minute drive (1.5 miles) from Coast Guard beach - which you can get to without having to get on Rt. 6 - or Head of the Meadow beaches on the ocean side. Longnook beach with its majestic dunes is a 9-minute drive away.

Light and breezy, this 3-bed, 1-bath house sleeps up to 6. Have breakfast in the shade of the grape arbor on the quiet back patio, and at night enjoy your barbecued dinner under the lights. After a day at the beach, come home and rinse off in the outdoor shower. Sit on the front porch and read a book with a glass of wine or play a board game with your family.

The location is ideal – if you wanted to, you could spend your entire time here without getting in the car! Not only are you mere minutes from the bay and ocean, it is a short walk (2-mins) to local eatery Captain's Choice, or Salty Market (formerly known as Dutra’s), where you can buy liquor and groceries - and sandwiches when you don’t feel like making your own; the Truro Beach Office, where you pick up your beach sticker; and new Chequessett Chocolate, which has delicious sweets and excellent coffee.

Local favorites Savory Pizza Grill & Sweet Escapes, Box Lunch and Hillside Farms are a short, 3-min. drive away, as are restaurants Terra Luna and Montano’s.

Provincetown and Wellfleet are only a 10-minute drive in either direction!

No pets allowed.

Neat!

Cool old house. We had a great time over thanksgiving and found an endangered kemp-Ridley turtle on the beach that was rescued🤙? Owners were great!

Great Cap Cod Getaway

  • 5 of 5

The "Antique Charmer" was just that...and more. Our family of four had a wonderful time staying at Rosy and Jonathan's North Truro vacation home. The house is ideally located withing walking distance to Cold Storage Beach, a small sound-side beach featuring amazing sunset views. A short fifteen minute drive (or easily accessible public bus) will get you to Provincetown to explore its unique sights and boutiques. The house is very clean and well equipped for in-home cooking as well as beach adventure. We were happy to use the beach chairs and float provided. The property consists of several unique areas both inside and out where one can kick back and relax.

The backyard hammock was certainly a welcoming treat. Rosy was extremely easy to work with and communicate. The home is a product of their passion for the surrounding area.

The house was well kept in & out. Great location

  • 5 of 5

The house was as described, well kept both inside & out. The location was good for us, store close by as well as good choice of restaurants. If you are looking for a peaceful stay along with close by attractions and beaches Rosy & Jonathan's is the place for you.

Beautiful, cozy, and convenient

  • 5 of 5

We had a relaxing nine days at Rosy and Jonathan's beautiful house. The house is nicely situated back from the road for a true country feeling, and the bay beach is a close and scenic walk (and ocean beaches a short drive). Rosy was quick to respond to our questions, which was appreciated. Having a market just a few houses away was very convenient for last minute food and wine purchases, and easy access to Provincetown was a bonus. Nice touches included the fresh herbs in the garden, arugula around the driveway, and a lovely outdoor shower. The kitchen was very well equipped. When it rained one day, the very pleasant common areas indoors gave ample space for everyone to spread out. A highlight of the trip was hearing the many bobwhites in the neighborhood. A comfortable and cozy place!

Till next time!

  • 5 of 5

Jonathan and Rosy did an incredible job of making their charmingly furnished home welcoming and filled with everything you would need for a relaxing getaway - a well stocked kitchen, smoker and grill, hammock, outdoor shower, personal library and HBO! My friend and I stayed for 3 full days exploring the beautiful local beaches (Longnook being a favorite) cooked dinners at the house and watched the incredible sunsets at Cold Storage Beach, only a 5 minute walk away. Their thoughtful welcome binder covers everything you would need to know and provides great recommendations. This was my first visit to Truro and would definitely come back to this lovely home.

Relaxing and comfortable stay in a lovely North Truro home

  • 5 of 5

We spent a great week in this lovely, well equipped, and comfortable house. Our days featured lots of time on the ocean and bay beaches which were both incredibly close, and, on the couple of rainy days, we played board games and watched movies. The house was very well equipped and there was nothing much we needed that we couldn't get easily at the little store in North Truro. The town is very quiet and perfect for R&R. There are so many charming details in this house. Highly recommended.

About Jonathan & Rosy Emmerling

Rosy grew up in Truro, locally known as one of the three sisters selling Hawaiian shave ice at a roadside stand. She met Jonathan in Brooklyn in 2008, they married in 2012 and felt the call of the Cape until they found their dream house in 2014.

Jonathan & Rosy Emmerling purchased this house in 2014

Why Jonathan & Rosy Emmerling chose North Truro

We wanted something very old but in good shape that we could update with some modern amenities, customize to our taste and restore to its original beauty. We envisioned creating a perfect Cape Cod getaway experience we could then share with renters.

What makes this house unique

The wide pine floors, the centuries' old doors and details, the classic cozy pantry, late night dinners under the grape arbor on the patio, the front porch overlooking the marsh, the sound of toads lulling you to sleep, the majestic mimosa tree welcoming you home.
