Home to the famous Stawamus Chief, Mount Garibaldi Range, Shannon Falls, Elfin Lakes and Alice Lake. Aerial Kitboarding is a popular summer activity as well as Rock climbing, bouldering, and hiking. Summer and winter time house eagles along the river; Brackendale Eagle Reserve. Children will enjoy the recreation centre pool or ice rink, and the Brittania Mine tour all year around. There is a lovely visitor's centre along the paved riding trail between Newport Squamish to the Recreation Centre. Squamish hosts the Squamish Music Festivals and the yearly Loggers Festival. The Train Museum is also a must see, which houses the winter markets. Summer time markets are along the main street of Squamish on Saturdays. Squamish is a small percentage of local residents where the local pubs such as Howe Sound Bew Pub experience the fluctuation of thousands of visitors over the holidays and weekends. Squamish just opened their new Sea to Sky Gondela in May 2014 where you can catch a ride to the peak behind the Chief. Many people hike up the Chief for the challenge, old and young, babies strapped to their backs, and dogs in tow. Maps of the longer hikes are available at the local Mountaineering and Mountainbike stores. Hikes vary in range from short walks around Alice, Cat, or Brohme lake, to larger hikes to Garibaldi lake (approx 6 Hours). Within 2 minutes walk of the apartment you are in the centre of town where you have access to a mix of shops, used clothing, old wares, expensive giftware and clothing, Native art, The Dollar Store, Save On Foods, Wholefoods, restaurants of all varieties (sushi, mexican, Ribs and Grill, White Spot, McDonalds, Howe Sound Pub, Starbucks), major banks, realestate offices and Doctors offices, gyms, liquor stores, Sears, Shoppers Drug Mart, specialty toy store, and the Dollar Store. Further down the highway to the industrial part of Squamish you will find Canadian Tire, Wallmart, Home Depo, Tim Hortons, Burger King, London Drugs and Extra Foods.

About the owner: We are a busy working couple that have active girls and enjoy heading to the mountains when there is snow beckoning. We hope that you are looking for some outdoor adventure or some peaceful nature to have a perfect holiday at our place. If you like a cosy fireplace and mountains out your windows like us you must come visit.

Why the Owner Chose Squamish, BC, Canada:
We live mostly in Vancouver BC and try to get up to the snow when we can. This is why we bought in Squamish because it is the Outdoor Capital of Canada. There isn't the tourist rush of Whistler but you can go there for the day or to Vancouver within an hour. I grew up in a logging town in Central BC so I love the small town feel on the weekend where the owner of the coffee shop gives you extra special service. I enjoy poking in eclectic shops and old wares/antique shops as well as artsy and new clothing stores. Squamish is a wonderful family town and tourist town a perfect blend. I travel for work and can only use my place on occasion. So I am more than happy to share my little heaven on earth with you so long as you take care of it for me and let the relaxation or adventure take over you at your whim.

The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
I decided I couldn't put curtains on the living room window. I could not even cover one inch of the fully framed Garibali Mountain looking in my living room. I knew it was special when I saw the Rocky Mountaineer Express travel through each day, and greeting Mountain Climbers and Kite Surfers in the parkade or elevator as they set out on their adventures or come back from their 'normal' daily activity. I love that I can walk to the grocery store and head back home without getting out my car to drive. The markets becon you on weekend to find lovely foods and gifts, music and community activity. There is always something to do.
