Wood floors throughout (tile in bathroom). 2 bedrooms each with Queen beds. In-unit washer/dryer. Deck. Local artists' work complete this unit. This unit is steps from the Eastern Promenade and Casco Bay, restaurants, tennis courts, and great trails. This is a quiet street and house.

About Colleen Bedard

I am a New Englander and have lived in the Portland area off and on for 25 years. I am now settled here and wouldn't live anywhere else but Munjoy Hill. It is truly special to hear fog horns, the train, and the tug boats hard at work in the harbor. The sounds and the smells leave a lastly impression. In addition to being a Realtor, I am also an artist and founded the Society for East End Arts with a few fellow-artists almost 10 years ago. I love walking on the Eastern Promenade with my dog, Coali, where there is an off-leash area for her to run and socialize with the other Hill dogs.

Downeast Magazine recently called this the hippest area of Portland for good reason. The neighborhood is friendly and Casco Bay--just 2 blocks away--is an every changing beauty. This is a quiet street yet you are close to restaurants, Rosemont Market, and Hilltop Coffee Shop. Downtown Portland is an easy walk from here.

What makes this apartment unique

I love 3rd floor units, and this one is no exception. The air and light is wonderful. The space is very comfortable.--You have everything you need here. The back deck is great for relaxing with a cool drink!

Beautiful apt and great location

This is a great area to vacation. Colleen was wonderful to talk with and really cared about making sure our stay was great. The apt is perfect, comfortable and situated in a convenient spot. Its close to the downtown area but not 'right' there. Great park, nice beach area all within walking distance. Places to eat and shops to shop :) Thanks for having us and we hope to be back!

Setting a high bar for a wonderful stay

I had never used VRBO before, but now I'm sold. This Portland, Maine two-bedroom apartment was perfect for our family of three, and sets the bar very high. Working with Colleen was easy and a pleasure. The apartment was lovely and spotless, with contemporary furnishings and a calming feel. The natural light and breezes from three sides was a treat, the washer/dryer can make a full week easy, the hardwood floors add to the overall beauty of the space, and three window-unit air conditioners were welcome during the hottest part of the day. The location on Munjoy Hill can't be beat - just a five minute walk from the Eastern Promenade's glorious sunsets over the Atlantic, and walking distance from so many of Portland's cool spots. Stay away from the hotels that give no real sense of Portland's personality, and enjoy the history, restaurants, art and coastal highlight that makes Portland such a favorite small city. This neighborhood is perfect to explore on foot. I hope to return!

Lovely, comfortable, well thought-out

Thank you Colleen, this was perfect! As soon as we pulled up we were greeted by a neighbor's cat, who appeared to be resting on the porch as if waiting for us to arrive. This apartment is a hidden gem, somehow quiet despite the many multi-family homes on the street, and was both cool and homey at the same time. Our kids liked the sofa and chairs in the living room and we enjoyed the set-up in the kitchen, with a table large enough to eat on and also play board games. The air conditioning made it very comfortable and was quite welcome after a hot day of walking round downtown or at the beach.

The location is great - it really was a short walk to a wonderful bakery (Rosemont Market) with fresh produce and organic and tasty foods, equally so to a small coffee shop (Hilltop) and corner store with fantastic sandwiches (Hilltop Superette). We frequently walked to downtown - it was about 20 minutes, alternating with walking on the promenade with views of the water, beautiful during the daytime and serene in the evening.

I truly can't say enough, the apartment and the area itself were wonderful and just what we needed. We hope to be back!

Perfect place in Portland!

We visited Portland over a long weekend in July. It was our first visit to this city. We were extremely pleased with the location of this home and was within walking distance of everything we wanted to do like go to Old Port and Eastern Promenade. The home is exactly as pictured. The living space and bedroom space are very comfortable. One of my favorite things to do was to open all the blinds first thing in the morning and let the sunlight shine through. Two of the days we were there were very hot and the air conditioners in all the rooms worked very well. One day we were able to open all the windows and let the sea breeze filled the house. We cooked dinner two nights while there and had the necessities. No problem finding parking on the street. The apartment is on the third floor which Collen makes very clear when booking but I did not take this into consideration when I packed the cooler. Beware if you pack heavy. (If you want to grocery shop when you arrive then Whole Foods is close but you will need your car. ) The stairs were no problem for us and we just viewed them as a way to work off all the great food we ate! One suggestion for something to do - Sunset Kayak Tour on Casco Bay. Then pizza at Flatbread Company. All in all, trip to Portland was a great time, house was beautiful and comfortable, and Colleen is very easy to work with. Will absolutely be back and will highly recommend this property!

Great Home in a Great Location

I just returned from a week in Portland at this wonderful Munjoy Hill condo with my daughter. The place is comfortable and stylish - there is nothing you will need that is not provided other than your own food & clothing! As someone previously mentioned, it is on the 3rd floor, so take that into consideration when packing. I can't imagine a better location! We were a short walk to many great restaurants on or just off of Congress (favorites include Otto's Pizza, Front Room brunch, and 3 Buoys lobster roll.) We were also a short walk to the Eastern Promenade and lots of activities on Casco Bay, including boat tours, the Peek at Portland trolley tour, and many great shops and restaurants. For those days you just want to relax and stay in, the condo has a great dining room table to play cards or board games at (bring your own) and a comfy living room with a large flat-screen TV. We totally lucked out when we found out that the largest 4th of July fireworks display north of Boston was in the park 2 blocks from the condo - it was fantastic. We had no trouble with parking at all. If it weren't for side trips to Kennebunkport and Freeport, we wouldn't have needed a car. I highly recommend this condo for your stay in Portland.

Great location and comfortable space

Our family loved staying at this apartment! The location was perfect, an easy walk to nearby parks, shops and restaurants. The Munjoy Hill neighborhood has a great vibe. There was a great ice cream stand at Hilltop Superette, and many food trucks park at the Eastern Promenade. Katie Made was a wonderful bakery a short walk away. It was a 20 minute walk to get to the ferry, we had a fun time visiting the beach on Long Island.

It was easy to make ourselves at home in the apartment. There was plenty of room for our family of four. The furniture was comfortable and it was nice to have the deck to ourselves. The kitchen was well furnished and we cooked many meals there. There are window air conditioners, but the weather was perfect so we opened the windows to let the fresh breeze in. Parking was never an issue.

Colleen was easy to work with and we had no problems getting a hold of her when questions arose.
