Devil's Dive Resort provides a boat ramp. It is a semi-private launch area, with plenty of room to turn around. Use of this ramp requires a donation. The donation box is located on the shore on the way to the ramp. There is also a public ramp 7 miles from the house. Holiday Island Marina is 1 mile away via water. They have boat rentals, fuel, etc. Additionally, Devil’s Dive Resort has fishing boat rentals. Call them directly to make reservations.
This house is less than 5 minutes from the new Dollar General store just north of the state line, and 10 minutes to Holiday Island (grocery, hardware, restaurants). The grill uses charcoal, and don't forget bug spray.
There are very few houses available to the public that have a water front lot in this area. The availability of the Devil's Dive Resort boat ramp is also a big advantage. You could easily put a boat in and out each day.

Cabin was very beautiful plenty of room for everyone. I am from Wichita KS the drive to the cabin was so much fun with the roller coaster hills! Cabin was stocked with dishes, coffee maker, griddle. There were a couple of issues that we had, but we called about them and they were fixed immediately. The ad stated that there was a trail to walk behind the cabin to get to the lake... this is true, but not when the neighbor a couple houses down insisted that we could not be on her property to get to the lake. Other than that everything worked out perfect! We had a BBQ one night and roasted marshmallows. I would have gave a 5 star rating if the issues didn't arise and the grumpy ol' lady.
The listing was accurate to the location, layout, and amenities of the house - This is very important to me. The property was clean and well-maintained. The yard and path to the water were freshly mowed and trimmed for us.
The cabin is quite a ways of the beaten path. Lots of winding back roads to get to the property, but the drive is pretty. However, there is a general store where you can get pretty much anything about 10-15min away. We liked how close it was to Eureka springs as well (only about a 25min drive). We went and had brunch there.
The fireplace and fire pit in the backyard were a welcome touch and we enjoyed using both of them.
The cabin is somewhat lacking in a full array of good cooking utensils (large pots, pans, skillets, bowls, etc) for large groups. But we were able to manage just fine.
The cabin is also next door to some other cabins. Though the listing states that the water front is Corps of Engineering property, the neighbors treat their water front as their own and are not too pleased if you wonder onto "their" property.
I would enjoy staying at this property again and I would recommend this property to anyone looking to bring a big group or family out for a quiet weekend getaway.
We were very pleased with the cabin. It was roomy and met our needs very well. The beds were comfortable. The back yard was roomy and we enjoyed the fire pit.
There are a few things that need attention. The coffee maker does not work. There was no hand soap except in one bathroom. There is a leak in the basement by the couch. We did not use th spa tub so it was not that. Some of the dishes in the cabinet were dirty.
We enjoyed our stay and plan to stay again in the future.
It was a girl's trip with three sisters and mom. This was the perfect place for relaxing, visiting and plenty to do around the area. Easy access to the lake for a kayak trip or sitting and watching the sunset. Decks were plentiful both upstairs and down for star watching or having a morning cup of coffee. It was a quick trip to Eureka Springs for shopping, visiting Crystal Bridges Museum, Crown Thorn Chapel and our favorite - Promise Land Zoo. We cooked all our meals and stayed in for the evenings. We hope to make this an annual event!
