There is a family room with stone fireplace with gas logs and a high-ceiling, floor-to-ceiling windows living room with fireplace with gas stone set. Three of the bedrooms have ceiling fans/lights. A custom stonework firepit and built-in gas barbeque are perfect with the outdoor furniture, patio table and multiple-level decks. There are three fountains on the property including a 'babbling brook' fountain creating a Zen calmness. New, subtle landscape lighting enhances the large pines and Eucalyptus trees. A fully-stocked cook's kitchen with professional cookware has two newer refrigerators, two newer dishwashers, a new five-burner gas range and double oven. There is a large-capacity washer and dryer. There are two flat-screen TVs, one new 55', Internet, Wi-Fi and Direct TV. Plenty of parking with a two-car garage and off-street, driveway parking for 4-5 additional vehicles or a camper. Walk to the Village/Del Mar Plaza or the Del Mar Racetrack in ten minutes. Another two minutes to the beach. This property is attractive, well-located and clean.
We purchased our Del Mar home three years ago to accommodate our 'instant family' of four children aged ten and under. We love our home and have made lots of improvements for comfortable, casual living in the beauty and convenience of Olde Del Mar. We plan to vacation while our home is rented during race season and during holidays.

We are both from the Midwest, though we moved here from Washington DC to escape the weather and because California is an 'adoption friendly' state. We adopted four children under the age of ten, a sibling group, last November. When searching for a home three years ago, we wanted four bedrooms, high-ceilings, large trees, an ocean view and a room above the garage. We found everything we wanted in our Del Mar home! We decided to rent out our home this year during race season and for the holidays in order to have a vacation and to afford to travel with our family of seven, including our German Au Pair.
This home is uniquely positioned in proximity to restaurants/bars, retail, beaches and the racetrack. The Village of Del Mar has it all within walking distance. Spend all day in activity and return to our quiet, peaceful, treed chalet on a hill overlooking the ocean. Dine in or out, entertain or relax as though you were at home.
