Fantastic get away from it all.
Charming lodge in beautiful grounds with well appointed fixtures and fittings. Great for walking and wildlife. The Tanners were consummate hosts. Total recommend!
The property is country themed, extremely clean with newly remodeled bathroom
We spent Christmas at this property with our 5 kids. There was plenty of room and plenty to do without ever leaving the property. To say this was a memorable Christmas would be an understatement. The owners and office staff went out of their way to make this a special vacation getaway. The property is very well kept. There are deer feeders with corn to feed them. Our children enjoyed feeding the deer and watching them come out in the evening. We were able to shoot skeet at the small lake and even fished a little. We did some sleigh riding on trash bags and hiked through the snow on the many trails on the property. Very peaceful and relaxing. I would highly recommend this property. The satellite TV and internet are a nice added touch for those who might not want to be completely out of touch, but that becomes your choice. This property is worth every penny!
Thank you Brian. I am so glad you had a wonderful Christmas!
My hunting buddies and I recently rented Tanners farm for the West Virginia rifle season. We had had a very successful hunt four bucks and seeing many more deer.
The cabin was very well supplied with every thing we needed pots, pans and other essentials. The cabin has a very nice kitchen and the livjng room was large and comfortable. The property is beautiful with many trails and comfortable box stands. I would recommend Tanners Farm for a short get away or a week to get back to nature.
We met the owner Jim Tanner and his son Justin who were extremely helpful and couldn't have been more helpful. They came out and showed us around the property and gave good info on hunting there. Cant wait to get back there.
Thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay. Property and accommodations were as described. Had a great time swimming, boating, fishing, and shooting. A perfect place to unplug and relax.
Clean quiet peaceful. If you are looking for a great place to get away from it all this is the place to come. It is great for either those who want to relax and enjoy the beauty of God's creation or for families with children who want to run and fish and feed deer. You never need to leave because it has everything but if you do it doesn't take long to get anywhere. For any hunters this is the place. The owner keeps food and minerals for the deer and there are three stands to hunt from and the deer is plentiful. We saw quite a few of them. So all in all this place has everything
Thank you for the great review. We are so glad you enjoyed Tanner's Farm.
Great family getaway!
We absolutely loved this place. We were greeted by 2 deer when we arrived. After unpacking, we went to the pond with our 3 kids, ages 12,10 and 6 to fish. After my 6 year old caught her first fish ever (and of many), we went on one of the many hiking trails. The owner Jim had just stocked the pond with 200 trout and we had a blast catching and releasing them along with a couple of bass. It was incredible to "unplug" the kids from their electronics and connect with nature. We then fed the small coy/goldfish in the small pond right by the house. The cabin was perfect, very clean and had plenty of room. The kids all loved the bunk beds. There was plenty of firewood and we cooked on it almost every night. We would definitely recommend and wished would lived there!!!
