About the property

Family Fun, Couples getaway, Friends reunion. Business travel. Comfort!

My B&B is the perfect spot for an elegant getaway, for families, a group of friends, several couples, or business associates. Relax in the bucolic setting on this working farm with little critters, both tame and wild, running around. You'll start to believe I've got Mother Nature choreographed in the back yard! Get pampered with excellent food and wine. Outdoor amenities overlooking the river abound. Two bedrooms in an elegant home operating as a B&B on a small farm a mile from College Place-about 5 miles from downtown WW. A beautiful master suite; large master bath w/heated marble floor opening onto the back yard and the Walla Walla River. 2nd large bdrm w/queen bed and bath overlooking the front yard and landscape.

There's always something going on in Walla Walla. Do a search for the Walla Walla Tourism Calendar of Events.

Additional details about my Bed & Breakfast. Gourmet coffee/espresso any way you like it!! Very private setting in the Walla Walla countryside next to Basel Cellars winery. Small farm with chickens, ducks, guineas and kitties running around on the banks of the Walla Walla River and Yellowhawk Creek. Guests may use the kitchen, indoor or outdoor dining room, living room, family room, breakfast nook, hot tub, & beautiful, relaxing fire pit. I offer a wine/cheese on arrival Friday evening as well as daily breakfast. Delicious catering also available for dinner or other meals by request. Just think, after a long day touring the valley, come home to a relaxing evening of a catered dinner, with excellent food, drinking some of the wine you've collected during the day. A nice alternative to the restaurant scene. But Walla Walla has excellent restaurants too! I'd be happy to suggest one for you. I am readily available for questions. Please note the separate listings for renting just the Lucile suite or just the Lola suite. Listings #600063 and #600064. Two additional inflatable beds available. ($30 Fee per night for each additional guest over 4.) Large sectional and sofa in Living Room also comfortable for sleeping. Additional guests would need to share the two bathrooms.

About Suzanne Knapp

Walla Walla native, my parents purchased this farm a long time ago, and it's my passion to continue their legacy, adding beauty, and sharing this amazing location on two rivers with others.

Suzanne Knapp purchased this farmhouse in 1961

Why Suzanne Knapp chose Walla Walla

This property is very secluded, yet it's just a few miles from downtown Walla Walla. Owner is on site, living next door to the main house. A major winery is across the road, many more a short drive or bike ride away.

What makes this farmhouse unique

This is a real farm, with chickens, ducklings, guineas, and kitties. The neighbor's dog routinely provides his version of security surveillance! Catering is also available as I'm an avid cook and baker.

Lovely place near Walla Walla

  • 5 of 5

Suzanne's place is a very comfortable place to stay, and she is a wonderful hostess and cook. Her breakfasts are worth the trip. On our last morning there, because we had to be on the road early in the morning, she was up and making fresh scones for us. One batch with cherries picked from her tree! And the setting is gorgeous. Right on a small river, farms and vineyards on all sides, and free range chickens everywhere! A complete delight.

Owner's Response: Thanks so much for your first visit. It was so enjoyable to meet all of you. And it was great cooking for such an open-minded group. Lucy may have stolen some of the chocolate cake, but she's still welcome back anytime!

Homey, great food

  • 4 of 5

We had a fun stay in Walla Walla and really enjoyed Suzanne's cooking and hospitality. The house is homey but could use a little improvement as you are staying in someone's home.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Yellow Hawk B&B. The surroundings were peaceful and homey. We loved the menagerie of chickens, ducks, quail, hens and even wild turkeys. Even the cats made us welcome. The rooms were most comfortable. Suzanne knows how to serve a great breakfast. The homemade bread, crepes, and waffles were delicious. She had great suggestions of things to do. Even taking a walk in the surrounding areas was lovely. We will be back for sure. We loved the feel of living on a small farm.

It was such a pleasant stay at Suzanne's house in walla walla

  • 5 of 5

The property had all that we wanted. We had the entire property for us for 2 days. Suzanne let us cook and her breakfast and the deserts she served us were awesome. The garden, chickens and the river flowing near the backyard of the property is a perfect place for relaxation. Need to stay there for more days. Will definitely go back if visiting eastern washington again
