Four bedroom beautiful home with sweeping panoramic view, infinity pool, lake
Our home sits atop a ridge on a secluded gravel road. COMPLETE PRIVACY. Magnificent views await you from every room of the house for miles and miles of the Litchfield Hills. The house is part of a lake association, so you have a private lake to spend your days sunning, boating, or swimming, with a dock to swim and sunbathe on. There is a boat house for communal use where there are canoes and kayaks for your use (NO POWER BOATS), and it is connected to a larger recreation room with ping pong, kitchen and couches. If you don't want to be at the lake, the infinity pool with the large rock inside offers bucolic relaxation or fun for children. The master bedroom has a king sized bed with private bath and shower, two large walk in closets, and is located on the main floor. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms have three twin beds (the third being a trundle that pulls out form underneath). The bonus bedroom is above the garage and has four twin beds lined up, perfect for children. In the bonus room there is also an elliptical, treadmill and hand weights for working out and a bathroom. Toys for children in closet. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. There is also a large office/laundry room downstairs. There is a two car garage. The kitchen has top of the line appliances, two Bosch dishwashers, Viking stove, and two sinks. Hardwood floors throughout house. There is a barn as well on the property but it sits empty. The deck extends the length of the whole house. Finally, there is a fire pit on one end of the deck for evenings outside where you can roast marshmellows and make s'mores. The town is five minutes away and there are charming shops and restaurants. Lake Waramug, a much larger lake, is visible from the house and has public beaches as well. New TVs with cable TV in all bedrooms.

About Stephanie Spiegel
We live in Westchester County NY and bought this home when our children were young as a lake house/vacation property.
Stephanie Spiegel purchased this House in 2004
Why Stephanie Spiegel chose South Kent
This corner of northwest CT known as Litchfield County is a beautiful rural area only two hours from NY City but feels like a whole other world. It is a four season area. Winter brings both downhill skiing and cross country skiing, spring beautiful gardens, hiking and biking, summer swimming, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, and fall beautiful foliage. There are many nearby boarding schools. There are wineries, a chance to hike a part of the Applachian Trail, antiquing on Route 7, swimming in our private lake or the larger Lake Warmamug, and plenty of great shops, restaurants and galleries. Our home is as bucolic and peaceful as you can get, an oasis of calm with total privacy, and an infinity pool to swim and relax in. There is a tennis court for the association . Our lake is one of the cleanest lakes in all of CT, as it is at the highest points in the area. In winter, there is Mohawk ski resort only 20 minutes away that offers a top ski school. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR RELAXATION THIS IS THE PLACE.

Kent - Panoramic View of Litchfield Hills
We have been enjoying this gorgeous property since the end of September and it has been such a special spot for our young family. The house is perfectly equipped and incredibly comfortable for us and our family's needs. The view is spectacular and the infinity pool is hard to beat given such a perfect setting & the unbeatable panoramic views. The expansive property is breathtaking as is the community amenities with the tennis court, lake access, and community center. It's been a wonderful spot and we have met some incredible people here. This is a year round gem of a house with two cozy fireplaces in the winter and a very sunny deck/outdoor space for the summer months. We hope to be back again.
