Nice clean cabin! Mark the caretaker was super nice and responsive. It would be lovely in the summe!

A nice place for seven people. Clean and comfortable and fairly well stocked with plates, utensils, etc. My one suggestion would be more seating in the living room. There's a three-person sofa; that's it. We dragged down a heavy rocker from upstairs, and that helped. Otherwise, we had a great time!

A good vacation rental

  • 4 of 5

The cabin and property was in great shape and the A/C and ceiling fans were really appreciated on the warm and humid nights. Mark was really friendly and helpful with setting up the boat. Panfishing was good around the pier. The fishing boat w/motor was better than rowing but the 6hp motor wasn't the greatest for getting around the flowage. The campfire pit overlooking the cove was a great place for cooking out and watching the sunsets.

This was a very enjoyable vacation

  • 5 of 5

Our family of five stayed at this property the last weekend in July to the first weekend in August. The house was delightful. It felt like all brand new construction it was so clean. We had a charcoal grill at our disposal which we made use of most nights. The beach was a fun place for our four year old to wade and find snails , clams, frogs and minnows. This delighted her as did the loons calling. We also made use of the swimming area on the other side of the fire pit off the blue dock. It was sandy bottom and chest high. Most nights after discovering it was good swimming, we went down and swam and hung out. We went out on the pontoon boat several times and enjoyed the scenery. We also rented the small fishing boat but didn't make use of it as we felt it was too small. The fire pit overlooking the lake was the most beautiful and panaramic view of the lake.

Rhinelander is a nice town, but we ended up at Eagle River more. We took a kayaking trip at wilderness outfitters that was fun. The staff there was amazing. If you go to Eagle River don't forget to stop in at Trembleys Candy Store. It is so good we have even ordered from there at Christmas time!

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. On two occasions we had to call Mark, the property manager, and he was over within the hour helping us out. That was a relief as one never knows if help will really be there when renting a property. I highly recommend this property.

Beautiful cottage with all the stuff you would need away from home.

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time, the place was clean and well maintained. Mark the grounds guy was awesome and helped with any request we had. We also rented the Pontoon boat. We had a great time on the water with our grandson. The cottage over looked the beach, so we didn't have to sit on the beach when our grandson wanted to swim could see him right from the patio. We will be going back next year for sure. Thanks for the great vacation spot, we had a great time and appreciated all the extra's.

a lovely weekend

  • 4 of 5

We had a lovely stay.

The cabin is cute and clean, the beds are comfortable, the fire pit area is beautiful and the weather was perfect.

Communication with both the owner and property manager was easy and pleasant.

There kitchen was pretty well equipped. If you plan to do any baking, you'll need to bring your own baking dishes. That's the only reason I didn't give the property 5 stars.

family vacation

  • 4 of 5

We went in August 2014 with my 2 young children (ages 4 & 6). The cabin was immaculate -- very clean and well stocked (although bring your own hand soap, tp, and extra towels). Duane (owner) and Mark (on site contact) were both very helpful with the process. The cabin is on a beautiful and pristine lake. We used the boat included as an option on VRBO and it was perfect for going out on leisurely rides on the lake and fishing with the kids. The kids loved the beach… perfect for little ones. We also loved the fire pit and watching the sunset there each night. I highly recommend this cabin. I am sure we will be using it again soon.
