Rebecca and James Price live on the East Coast of North Carolina but would travel to the Boone area often to take family trips. They purchased their cabin in 2013 and wanted to make this little cabin a place of refuge and peace with all the beauty of the mountains surrounding it. Rebecca is a reading specialist who owns Reading Circles Reading Center in Whiteville, NC. James is employed with an electrical cooperative called Brunswick Electric in Whiteville as well. Both have a love of camping, outdoor adventure, and watersports. They have one 13 year old son named Hunter who loves the outdoors as well.

Why Rebecca Price chose Jefferson
Rebecca and James bought this property as a yearly vacation destination. They both fell in love with the culture of West Jefferson. Rebecca loves all the restaurants and little shops in downtown West Jefferson. James loves to go antique shopping in the area and of course the river activities. They also love the fact that the Blue Ridge Parkway is only a few miles down the road. The river being steps away is what sold the property. In the summer around the corner of the cabin it is not unusual to see people kayaking, tubing and fishing on a regular basis. This cabin is near Zaloo's Canoe's which makes it a hot spot for all kinds of water recreation.
What makes this Cabin unique
The back porch is the most peaceful place when the sun goes down and all is quiet. The property also has a front porch swing and woods surround the cabin in the front and back. Taking a ride down to the New River State Park for hiking and/or a picnic is less than 5 minutes away from the cabin. There is just too much to do in the High Country. That is why this cabin continues to unlock a new adventure each time someone visits.

Cozy, clean, nice get away
It was a quiet relaxing vacation. The river was not as close as we expected, but we still had a good time. The cabin was cozy and clean
We loved our stay and plan on returning! We felt at home from the moment we walked in. It is a very cozy place with warm, thoughtful touches throughout... hooks to hang towels, little basket in kitchen for “this and that”, movies, plenty of pillows and cushions for outside seating, games, hammock... etc! We felt more like friends visiting than strangers renting. Rebecca is always very quick to respond to any questions also. Thank you for sharing your home.
Cabin was perfect, exactly as pictured and area was so peaceful!
Awesome Girls Only Trip
My mother and I visit West Jefferson every summer as it is our favorite home away from home. We had been staying at the Park Vista, but wanted something a little more like a cabin. I found this place on VRBO and it was perfect. We were able to fix our breakfast every morning, walk around in the river, sit on the back porch with Clover, the neighbors dog, and watch movies with snack food from Ashe County Cheese. The driveway was a tad difficult on my mom's mustang, but other than that, we plan on returning next summer as long as the cabin is available. Definitely a best kept secret.
Wonderful place for our honeymoon.
Best tiny cabin
We rented this cabin for a long weekend while visiting with friends in the area. It went beyond our expectations.
Property is located minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway. It backs up to Jefferson Landing Golf Course. It is walking distance to the historic New River and Zaloo's Canoes. All Mountain High Country activities are just a short drive away.
