Private Pool, Close to the Beach, Dive Shop and Restaurants!
Welcome to Seaside Inn Bed & Breakfast. We purchased this gorgeous property in March of 2014 and we hope to be the best little resort on West Bay Beach.
Seaside Inn is located on sandy road within a three minute walking distance to the beach – about 200 yards. The location is awesome! The road is level from the beach, with a very slight incline for about the last 50 feet– don’t worry, we’re not one of the locations on the West Bay Mountain. We’re nestled in the jungle away from all the bustle of the beach but close enough to enjoy the restaurants, bars and activities West Bay has to offer.
We have a beautiful private pool! Our guests can lounge around our pool for a lazy vacation day or enjoy a nice evening cocktail after a hard day of playing on the island. Our pool is not open to the public – it is for Seaside Inn’s private use and enjoyment.
A delicious breakfast will be served during high season, November 15, 2014 – April 30, 2015. We have a wonderful daily special gourmet choice, along with a second hearty choice of potatoes/eggs/ham or bacon/toast or a lighter option: yogurt parfait with homemade granola layered with non-fat vanilla yogurt, topped with fresh fruit. There are also two other “Grab & Go” choices, a very tasty egg/ham/cheese breakfast sandwich or bagel and cream cheese. To see the menu, please visit our website at .
Unlike the mega resorts, our Bed & Breakfast is a small private resort which provides our guests with a calm, quiet retreat away from the crowds. We cater to our guests and strive to provide a wonderful stay on this incredible island.

About Carolyn Belfor
I grew up in upstate New York. My father was a U.S. Forest Service ranger, so we moved to Colorado when I was in high school. I then went on to serve 4 years in the Marine Corps, then 4 years of college in Oregon and Arizona. I graduated from Arizona State in 1985. I moved around a lot, taking different jobs as a software engineer. My last job was working for Hewlett-Packard for 15 years. I always have vacationed in the tropics and decided that before I got too old, I'd do something different and live in the Caribbean. After a lot of searching, my mother took the family to Roatan for her birthday and we all fell in love with the island and the friendly islanders. It was no doubt, that Roatan was definitely the choice!
Carolyn Belfor purchased this House in 2014
Why Carolyn Belfor chose West Bay
I fell in love with this beautiful home and island after looking at several other Caribbean destinations. The home is in the shaded jungle, just steps from the most beautiful beach on Roatan. West Bay Beach was recently named by the 'Island Magazine' as one of the top ten beaches in the world. The snorkeling and diving is amazing since Roatan is surrounded by the second largest barrier reef in the world. The island is small, so you get to know everyone and it develops a sense of family.

Seaside Inn was beyond our expectations!
The accommodations were immaculate....suites, balconies, swimming pool, grounds, linens, everything! We had 6 adults and two 19 year old twin girls. The Seahorse Suite with the bunk beds was perfect for them. The location of the Inn couldn't be better. We liked being close to the beach but not on the beach. We were able to relax in the hammocks and in our own private pool away from the other tourists. All the amenities listed on the VRBO site were there to be enjoyed. The DVD collection and pool floats were enjoyed by all. The 2 times we lost electricity was not a problem because there is a backup generator (thankfully). The owner, Carolyn, is very accommodating and provided us with everything. She even picked up a few items from town for us. Would we return to Seaside Inn and recommend the Inn to others - absolutely!
Or only regret is we only booked it for one week. The price was so resonable.
Absolutely loved our stay - we'll be back!
We sure picked a great vacation rental for our 3rd time to Roatan and we will rent here again. Other rentals we had were not on the West Bay Beach side, so we had to rent a car and neither one had a backup generator - and let me tell you, you want a place with a backup generator! It is a real bummer to be sweating while you sleep with no fans or AC and then to top it off, no WATER!! The pumps can't run so you can't even cool off with a shower. Seaside Inn has a generator that automatically comes on and within 5-6 seconds or so, you have everything back up and running - even the AC! We had such a good time being able to walk to the beach, play hard, come back for lunch if we decided to, or maybe take a refreshing swim to rinse off the salt water and go again!! And we didn't have to coordinate the rental car between each other if someone wanted to leave the beach earlier. The restaurants were all within walking distance; we chose different ones every night - loved the Argentinian Grill! Seaside Inn was super well-stocked with beach towels, bath towels, linens, pots, pans, etc. Everything was beautifully decorated and well-maintained. We're planning our next year vacation to come back here! Thank you, Carolyn, for such a great vacation!
Thank You Carolyn!
My Wife and I stayed in the Toucan suite Mar 17- Apr 06, 2015 and enjoyed every day we were there. The Inn and owner Caolyn Belfor were wonderful. As advertised the Inn is a two minute walk to probably the best beach on the Island giving access to world class snorkeling, restaurants that offer great food and unmatchable sunsets or, when just going for a stroll, star fish lounging in the sea grass are waiting to greet you. The Seaside Inn was and is all its advertised to be. We enjoyed our breakfasts every morning on a huge deck with views overlooking jungle and a great pool that we used often later in the day or for just a quick evening splash. Carolyn, the owner, was a wonderful host with a wealth of information about Roatan that she was happy to share with us. The services that Carolyn recommended were second to none! When renting a car it was delivered to our door promptly at 08:00, water taxis and wheeled taxis drivers recommended by our host were always waiting for us with clean and safe boats or cars and the drivers were a treasure of information and advise. But the best touch of all was the fish truck that delivered fresh lobster, shrimp, and red snapper that we grilled on the deck on the odd evening. I did a lot of shopping prior to booking the Toucan suite at the Seaside Inn and I must say I really did get lucky. Our accommodations were great, our hostess was wonderful and the price that included the 19 percent tax was a lot less than Carolyn could have charged. I read a review that mentioned the hill to climb when walking up from the beach. My wife and I are both 60 years old and from the prairies. We are not exactly used to steep climbs so I was a bit concerned over the hill comment. The hill is nothing more than an uphill grade that made us chuckle at the comment.
Thank you so much for the wonderful review - it was truly a pleasure having your company - I miss you two already!! Going home to the snow and cold after 3 weeks of fun in the sun must have been a bit shocking :). I really enjoyed our 'wine' evening and all our great conversations. I know we will cross paths in the future and I'm looking forward to seeing you again. I'm very happy you had a great vacation!!
Excellent Location - Beautiful Place!
We stayed at this great little resort for a week in July. It’s a gem of a little place right off the most beautiful beach on the island. West Bay Beach is stunning. The location is fantastic. We saw a couple of the places we were going to rent and they were not anywhere near the beach. (Beware of some of the false advertising – some of the places say they’re on West Bay but they are not!) We had a short stroll right down to West Bay Beach and came out of the lane right near Beachers Restaurant. So very glad we decided to stay here at Seaside.
The Seaside Inn was spotlessly clean and super comfortable. Everyone was very happy with their rooms and all said the beds were very comfy. Loved the little kitchens for fixing sandwiches and keeping drinks and fresh fruits we bought from the street vendors. And of course hot coffee and tea in the morning which we usually drank out on the huge veranda.
The air conditioning was a lifesaver at night. (I don’t think I could have made it without it.) The bathrooms were nice and clean and beautifully tiled. Nice linens and towels.
When the private pool is completed this place is going to be fabulous. Quiet, private with lots of parrots and palm trees and the pool off the huge veranda will be the perfect setting in paradise. We are all planning a return trip next year to lounge by the pool.
We loved the island. The snorkeling was fantastic. Spotted rays, turtles and lots of beautiful fish. We ate at many nice restaurants. We all agree that the coconut shrimp at Beachers and the beef tenderloin at Argentinian Grill were some of the very best meals. When the cruise ships were in, West Bay was lively and fun with lots of people and activities and when there were no cruise ships the beach was quiet, serene and beautiful. The people on the island are all so friendly and we always felt safe. It’s a very happy little island.
We all agreed we would highly recommend the Seaside Inn. It’s a very nice place to stay in a perfect location and we will all be back next year.
We are so happy that the entire family loved the place and loved the island! There is so much to do and your family had packed days of adventures!! We're really looking forward to your return and can't wait to be able to add to your stay, the enjoyment of the new pool - thank you for some of your great ideas and thoughts with some of the final touches, like the placement of rays in the bottom! Please come back 'across the pond' and visit us again!

Additional information about rental rates
The A/C is separately metered. Some guests don't use the AC so this keeps the rates low. If you choose to use the A/C, it costs about $5-$7 per day depending on the length of time used and how cold you keep it. We read the A/C meter upon arrival and the morning of your departure. For each week of stay, a $100 cash refundable security deposit is required upon arrival (for each unit rented).
