Overview

About the property

Welcome to Point Pleasant Bunkie. Charming water front Bunkie on a private road 30 kilometers east of Picton in Cressy, North Marysburgh. Our home and property is located on the Upper Gap between Adolphus Reach and Lake Ontario. The property is surrounded by farm land, sits on 2 acres and boasts 270 feet of accessible waterfront. The Bunkie is approximately 150 feet from the main house and has it's own deck and side yard. The location offers fabulous sunrises and sunsets.

There are many attractions close by including Lake on the Mountain Resort, the Waupoos Pub, Waupoos Winery and Fifth Town Cheese Factory. Sandbanks beach is a 40 minute scenic drive, with many attractions along the route. Beach Pass is included, which provides unlimited daytime access for one vehicle. Please note that sadly Sandbanks beach has been affected by the flooding and high water levels. The beach is open but not really useable at this point.

Also due to the same water level problem we may not be able to have our dock in place for another month or so. We have also lost 4 feet of our shore please see picture. . However, the waterfront and view are still gorgeous. Many waterfront owners in PEC have the same issue.

Picton offers a variety of grocery stores, LCBO, theatre, wonderful restaurants and shopping. Stores and services are a 30 minute drive so it is best that you arrive with your provisions.

Public Boat Launch a 10 minute drive.

This quaint Bunkie is approximately 300 square feet and is ideal for 2 people. The Bunkie has a dining table and three chairs a Queen size bed and kitchenette all in one room. The kitchen includes a toaster oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee maker, bar fridge and bar freezer as well all utensils and dining plates and glasses, mugs etc. There is also a BBQ with a side burner for your use.

The Bunkie has a very nice three piece washroom.

There is a flat screen TV, no satellite or cable (antenna reception offers a few channels) and a DVD player. Free Wi Fi.

Bedding and bath towels are provided as it toilet paper, paper towels, salt and pepper, dish detergent, garbage bags and propane.

Please bring your own beach towels and beach chairs. Good swimming on our shore. Rock beach. Bring your water shoes. Use of dock. Swim at own risk.

An absolute gem!

  • 5 of 5

This was an amazing 4 day getaway from the busy hustle and bustle of life!

Siobhan and Dave made sure that we were comfortable and well looked after, but gave us all the privacy we wanted.

Waking up to to lapping waves each morning was priceless.

The bunkie was extremely well equipped, immaculate on arrival and very comfortable .

Cannot wait to return!

Loved it!

  • 5 of 5

My daughter and I had such a wonderful time!! So much to say that we loved- hearing the waterr lapping against the shore- we painted stones on the picnic table - had campfires each night - read / journaled and even swam once- water shoes a must and wisely advised to bring. The bbq side burner gave us trouble one day when it was so windy- but we loved the wind- so overall wish we could have stayed longer!!

AWSOME PLACE

  • 5 of 5

Quaint charming cottage right on the shore of Lake Ontario, we fell in love with the place the minute we got there. It was a mommy - daughter trip, with an 11 year old child. My daughter had a blast running around the property, swimming, building a fire and we both thoroughly enjoyed just sitting on the deck relaxing, reading, chit chatting and looking at the magnificent view. The Bunkie is perfect inside, has all amenities needed, it's clean and the bed was very comfortable. We brought food for 2 days and didn't have to go to a restaurant. One morning we had the privilege to wake up by accident at 5 am (yikes), but it was a blessing in disguise because we noticed that the sun was rising, so we went outside to watch sunrise and take lots of pics, it was magical. Our hosts Siobhan and Dave are amazing people, they made us feel welcome and right at home. Our only regret was to have a short stay, it was a bummer to leave! I can't wait to go back again, but next time it will be with my husband for a romantic getaway. Siobhan, Dave and Dollie thank you for your warm hospitality, your property is heaven on earth.

Peace & Quiet

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved this cottage. We were looking for a place to unwind from our busy schedules for a couple of days. This cozy cottage was perfect. Also close enough to explore the Sandbanks, cheese factories and of

course a couple of winery's. My favorite time was spent on the deck at the beginning and end of each day overlooking Lake Ontario. Can't wait to return. Thanks again to Siobhan & Dave for their warm welcome

and attention to detail.

Nice, cozy cottage with stunning views

  • 5 of 5

We had a brilliant time in the cottage of Siobhan and Dave. The cottage itself is situated near Daves and Siobhans house with views to lake Ontario. Although it is located in the garden privacy is absolutely guaranteed. We booked this location while travelling through Canada. The interior of the cottage is cozy and has all ameneties you need for a relaxing stay: fridge, freezer, TV, microwave, shower and BBQ on your private deck. Siobhan and Dave were really great hosts and they gave us valuable tips where to go next and what to see in Montreal. One thing: If you plan to go to the cottage, bring yourself some food and drinks as the next supermarket is about 30 minutes away. Overall we would highly recommend to stay here.

Everything a couple needs

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I stayed 2 nights in the amazing Bunkie. As you lie in bed you can look out the large sliding glass door and see miles of open water and you can hear the gentle waves rolling in. Siobhan and David are great hosts and are more than accommodating. The kitchenette has almost everything you could need in terms of dishes, utensils and cookware. The Bunkie was clean and welcoming and gave us all the space we needed without extras we didn't use. Highly suggest staying here.
