Quiet getaway

  • 5 of 5

We loved it, it's quiet and well decorated / designed. A great place to "get away from it all".

Hosts were very nice and genuinely cared about us enjoying our stay.

Awesome Spot for relaxation

  • 5 of 5

What a great way to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary. The "Bunkie" was the perfect fit, way more than expected, beautiful romantic setting. We wanted to head into town to do a little sightseeing but never made it. We were so relaxed and distracted with the waterfront view, hearing the waves hit against the shores. Best sleep in a long time.

Siobhan and Dave you have been awesome host, you made us feel home away from home even Dolly was a great host.

Thanks again for an awesome, fabulous, relaxing time. The Bunkie is #1 spot on our list. Thanks to helping us create new memories.

See you next year

Kay & Ian

Quaint little bunkie has everything you need and an amazing view of Lake Ontario.

  • 5 of 5

This quaint little Bunkie was prefect for the two of us for our 3 day getaway in PEC. It has everything you need to feel right at home with a fully stocked kitchenette, full bathroom and the comfiest bed! The view from the deck is amazing and the waterfront is great for swimming. Bring water shoes as the rocks are a bit slippery. Siobhan was very helpful, providing perfect directions and checking in on us to make sure we had everything we needed, even though she was away at the time. The next time we're in PEC we will definitely stay here again. Thank you Siobhan and Dave for a fantastic few days.

Quiet and serene with full amenities, a great place to escape the city.

  • 4 of 5

A gorgeous little cottage right by the lake at the end of the road at the very tip of the peninsula. Bright and airy, you feel like you are outside even if you are in. Plenty of room to sleep, stretch, have dinner, watch TV, etc., but you wouldn't want to spend too much time inside if the weather is nice. Wake up early and watch the sunrise over the lake from the deck and/or enjoy the sunset while swinging in the hammock by the outside fireplace.

The lake level was high when we were in, the shore was steep and without easy access for a swim. The dock was out for repair as well, so we couldn't jump off it. Those were out of control circumstances, but something to inquire about if you plan to have an all-in-one experience without having to drive to a beach. Speaking of beaches, there are plenty within 50km or less, from Sandbanks to some other ones I'd rather keep to myself :).

What sets this place apart from almost all others is that it's fully equipped with everything you may need for a pleasant stay, from the freezer to the barbecue and Wi-fi. The only thing we needed and couldn't find was a blow dryer, but one was promptly provided by the host. Speaking of hosts, they are friendly and accessible for everything you may need, yet far enough and will not intrude, so you will feel like the place is your own.

If you really crave urban setting, it's 30km to Picton on a scenic road passing by the Lake On The Mountain. Kingston and all it has to offer is not much further on a road just as scenic, plus a free ferry ride.

Bring your food if you don't plan on driving at least 30km to dine out. The kitchen is fully equipped and there's a barbecue right by the deck. You can even roast your sausages on the camp fire if you want.

I gave this place 4 stars because I reserve 5 stars for those that are absolutely perfect. I would give it 4.5 if I could.

An absolute gem!

  • 5 of 5

This was an amazing 4 day getaway from the busy hustle and bustle of life!

Siobhan and Dave made sure that we were comfortable and well looked after, but gave us all the privacy we wanted.

Waking up to to lapping waves each morning was priceless.

The bunkie was extremely well equipped, immaculate on arrival and very comfortable .

Cannot wait to return!

Loved it!

  • 5 of 5

My daughter and I had such a wonderful time!! So much to say that we loved- hearing the waterr lapping against the shore- we painted stones on the picnic table - had campfires each night - read / journaled and even swam once- water shoes a must and wisely advised to bring. The bbq side burner gave us trouble one day when it was so windy- but we loved the wind- so overall wish we could have stayed longer!!
