About the property

A 3 bedroom home offered for 2 people at a time

TreeHouse is a place where mountain charm meets modern comfort. Fond memories will stir your soul long after you leave these ancient mountains. You will enjoy a very comfortable, relaxing adult getaway set up perfectly for two, in a private setting, just 11 minutes away from the heart of Cashiers, in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. Guests have access to Sapphire Valley Resort amenities while staying if desired. This privately owned home isn't really a tree house: its name came about because it is 3 levels surrounded by beautiful tall trees. The main living areas are on the second level. With all the glass windows, it feels as though it is resting amidst the forest. It is furnished with high end American- made furnishings and the new organic queen bed in the master bedroom is dressed in fine, luxury linens from Italy and France, and lots of down pillows. A second bedroom with queen bed, is available, with a stone fireplace, and is on the first floor. The kitchen is stocked with fine tools from Williams Sonoma. Visit for more information. Thank you for your interest in a relaxing stay at TreeHouse.

About Jaimee

Traveled around 6 continents, retired from a wonderful career at Delta Airlines, I love to share 'the unique and special' with people on vacation to make their holiday super fun, very comfortable, and with great memories! I am passionate about the mountains of North Carolina. They hold a spiritual beauty that is so good for the soul. I feel they offer such a memorable experience, and the more you come to visit, the more fond you become of this majestic natural region of the United States.

Jaimee purchased this house in 2011

Why Jaimee chose Sapphire

The Blue Ridge Mountains took my breath away the first time I saw them, especially up on the Blue Ridge Parkway. The more I visited these mountains, the more desired to own a home and stay as much as possible. I chose TreeHouse because of its central location, convenient to so many beautiful waterfalls and hikes and water sports, and close to all the shopping and wonderful restaurants, but private, and away from traffic and busy activity of Cashiers, Highlands, and Brevard. I live mostly in South Florida and love eating out and shopping for the home, but I need space and privacy when I retreat on vacation. I value the peaceful stream and its relaxing water sounds, the tall trees. Homes are nearby, and Holly Forest has the added benefit of 24 hour security, but I have the privacy without houses right next to me to really relax and enjoy the nature that enchants everyone who comes to experience the Blue Ridge Mountains.

What makes this house unique

Treehouse is very reasonably priced yet offers high-end furnishings and luxury bed linens with blush, comfortable bed in a very relaxing atmosphere. The owner greets you with a welcome basket of locally-produced treats and is dedicated to helping you experience a fantastic vacation. Maps and literature are provided about the not-to-be missed places in the area. And there are many! Access to Sapphire Valley Resort amenities for just $2 per day per person allow you to use the beautiful private lake with boat rentals and picnic tables, the community center, the recreation center with computers, printers, indoor and outdoor pools, hot tubs, saunas, weight room with tread mills, miniature golf, and stream side grills. Golf and tennis is available at the Resort with mountain views.

Sapphire Valley Serenity

  • 5 of 5

This beautiful home is surrounded by woods and nature and therefore very private and secluded. The view from the living room looking out onto the deck and the woods is stunning. Everything you could possibly need has been provided by the the owner who goes out of her way to be as helpful as possible! She is very easy to work with and makes sure that her guests have all the information they may need to make the most of a stay in the Sapphire Valley area with such items as restaurant suggestions to maps and pamphlets about the local attractions and hiking trails, etc. The kitchen is fully equipped and very well maintained and the bed/linens are super comfortable and cozy! I would highly recommend this house as the perfect getaway for a couple or small family.

Nice solitude in Sapphire Valley

  • 4 of 5

Great place for a getaway. Trees, bubbling brook, and a cozy bed. My wife and I spent five days here, and were very comfortable. Probably too much space for the two of us (there are three levels, of which we used only one), but comfortable nonetheless. Very convenient to Cashiers, Highlands and Brevard. Close to fly fishing and golf, great restaurants and stores. Bring a book, as there is no broadcast TV or internet connection. (We kind of liked that aspect.) The owner is very responsive and helpful.

Clean, neat and very comfortable.

  • 5 of 5

The gracious owner met us on our arrival to show us around the lovely home. Modern new furnishings and appliances. We were provided with maps, suggested outings, recommendations for restaurants as well as complimentary amenity passes for recreational facilities at Sapphire Valley and Fairfield lake. Numerous small gifts and accessories present to assure an enjoyable stay. The wonderful eastern exposure perfect for the large deck. Within walking distance to a bubbling stream which can be heard from the deck. Convenient location to the town of Cashiers and Sapphire National Golf Course. Highly recommended.

Awesome Family Mountain Getaway House!

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay at this Mountain retreat!

My husband and son enjoyed hiking down "very cool steps" that access a stream right behind the house! Every room has a beautiful view of the trees, and natural light comes in all around making you feel like your outdoors, but with all the comfort of being indoors.

The owner was easy to reach and had many extra touches to make our stay comfortable and cozy. She left us notes on the best places to visit, details on shopping and eating locally, and we just loved her suggestions!

It is nice to go away and feel at home, rather than staying in a hotel. We had sooo... much room and places to simply relax and enjoy!

anniversary couple

  • 5 of 5

We celebrated our 50th anniversary one week before our family gathering in Sapphire Valley in this lovely home.

It was so relaxing and inviting. We have been renting through VRBO for many years and found the linens and cleanliness of this home to be excellent! Another outstanding feature of this home are the William Sonoma kitchen utensils...this attracted me in the first place and I was not disappointed. We enjoy visiting Cashiers and Highlands

and TreeHouse is well located for day trips. The privacy of the location - looking out at beauty from every window and quiet, restfull sleep made it A+ for us. Jaimee, the owner is very kind, helpful and gracious. We give her and TreeHouse 5-stars!

My Refuge.

  • 5 of 5

Tree House is an oasis from the hyper stimulus. It's the simplicity! Peaceful sleep in absolute quiet and privacy.

Glimpses out the window of the full moon outlining the forest the house is nestled within. Soothing nature surrounds.

The bedroom, simply Zen, from the linens to the thoughtfully chosen decor. The kitchen is fully stocked with excellent equipment, at the ready to whip up some treats. Fluffy towels in the bath. The attentiveness to detail is a lovely surprise.

Natural light floods the living areas due to the expansive glass and mountain top setting. Where to sip a cup of tea and read? The sun room? The expansive deck nestled among the tree tops? It is difficult to choose.

The region has so much to offer. Lovely independent restaurants and shops. The most amazing Tomato Pie from a wonderful little gourmet shop. Bucks for the best chai, coffee and your morning scone. Hiking trails, mountain vistas, waterfalls all withing short driving distances.

We returned from our holiday restored and ready for the daily race of life.

The owner left an informative packet for our arrival complete with area tips. A vase of fresh cut flowers and a wee gift basket. Thoughtful touches not typical for vacation rentals! She was also highly responsive to our inquires.

I would recommend both the property, the setting and the area for a convenient get away.

I look forward to future visits exploring more of the area and staying in this oasis of calm.
