About The Owner

I currently manage and design/remodel homes and estates as well as being a licensed Real Estate Agent in Napa. I was born and raised in Napa so if you end up booking with me, I would be happy to give you any ideas and suggestions on where to go and what to do while you are visiting!

The Owner purchased this house in 1999

Why The Owner chose Napa

I bought this house in 1999 when moving back to Napa from San Diego. It had been remodeled several times and someone had taken all of the charm out of it. After learning it was a historic home I really enjoyed bringing it back to life and putting all that charm back in it. Location is Fantastic....walking distance to downtown, only a few minutes to the wineries!

What makes this house unique

Besides being absolutely charming and cozy inside, the outside is fantastic. The deck wraps around and there are plenty of area's to relax outdoors. The yard is large and meticulously maintained, with both a large lawn area as well as a beautiful flagstone patio.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Thank you so much for our lovely stay. The house is perfect. We had an amazing time and want to write more but we are very busy drinking Napa wine!

We had a nice time in this house.

  • 4 of 5

We had a nice stay in your home. It worked out great for a girls get away. There were a few issues however. None of the lights in the backyard worked. Also it said gas grill however it seems to have been gutted to be used with charcoal biscuits. Otherwise it is a very comfortable home. Would recommend this to others.

Owner's Response: Hi Wende thank you for leaving a review. I am really sorry about the lights, I would have sent the handyman right over to replace the bulbs if you had called me but we should have caught that before your arrival, I apologize. I switched the grille to charcoal this summer because guests kept leaving the gas on. That is updated in my description. Thanks again and I am glad you had a nice stay in Napa.

Great girls getaway in Napa Valley!

  • 5 of 5

The house was perfect for the 3 of us in Napa! We each had our own room and it was close to downtown for a walk to dinner! It was clean and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. Robinson Family Vineyard was a fantastic place, so glad Amy recommended it. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

Beautiful home in a great location!

  • 5 of 5

This charming home and detached cottage was perfect for our recent family vacation in Napa Valley. Just outside of downtown Napa, the location was excellent. Three bedrooms and two full baths in the main house, and a beautiful detached cottage with a spacious bedroom and full bath. The kitchen was fully stocked and there is a grill on the outside deck. The outdoor area was a perfect place to relax with our morning coffee and after a long day of wine tasting. A hot tub was an added bonus. The entire home, and cottage, was clean, beautifully furnished, and comfortable. Highly recommended and I will be back!

Former Roommates Get Away in Napa

  • 5 of 5

The Monroe House in Napa was perfect for the 4 of us. It was more a 'home' than a house. We had plenty of room, especially in the living room/kitchen area. Although we did not cook very much, the updated kitchen has any utensil you might need. It was great to have 3 bedrooms and 2 baths for 4 women. The best thing about this home is definitely the backyard. You can walk outside on the deck from the master bedroom to the patio, where you can set outside for a leisurely breakfast and/or afternoon or evening wine. The entire backyard gives you a feeling of relaxation, with the water garden and the landscaping. A very quiet neighborhood and we would definitely book this home again. Ample closet space and towels were a plus, too. Although we didn't talk to or see Amy (and there was no need to as everything was clean, etc.), she was very prompt in answering emails and our questions. The weather is great in Napa in August!

Charming home in the heart of Napa

  • 5 of 5

Fabulous central location. Perfect for 6-8 people. Or for 1-2 in the back cottage. We celebrated our parents' anniversary and we couldn't have asked for more. We were able to have breakfasts as a family at the house and then we were off. Amy went out of her way to make our trip special. Excellent! Do not hesitate if you are looking for a Napa stay!
