With views of the Hudson Highlands and less than a mile from the Hudson River, you will find a peaceful place to relax or to gather with family and friends in this rambling house.
On the ground floor, guests will find a large living room, library and meditation room for meetings as well as cozy corners where you can curl up with a book. There is a large dining room with seating for 24 guests, as well as a fully equipped kitchen and adjacent breakfast nook. A screened dining porch has additional seating for 16 people in warm weather.
The bedrooms are on the second and third floors and include four private bedrooms and seven bedrooms with from two-to-four beds each. Rooms are simply but attractively furnished with antique wood pieces and unusual vintage prints and art. All beds are single. Most rooms have views of woods, meadows, or the mountains and access a patio-sized balcony on each floor for star-gazing, nature-watching or quiet reflection. Four full bathrooms, with either a shower or a tub, and one half - bathroom on the first floor are shared.
The third floor also has a common space with seating and a view of the mountains.
Just 55 miles from New York City, the Phoenix is just minutes from the world-famous Storm King Art Center and a short drive to DIA Beacon, West Point Academy, and the Woodbury Commons Outlet Center.
The house is an easy walk to the center of the village of Cornwall-on-Hudson and its restaurants, a public park at the Hudson river, kayak and canoe rentals, and other amenities, including a twice-weekly farmers market.
