About the property

Rustic with riverfront and mountain views.

Our cabin has three bedrooms equipped with queen-size beds and two washrooms. We have 6 acres of bush to explore and perfect trails for kids to quad close to home. The kitchen is fully equipped. We have satellite TV and stereo equipment. Our deck is 900 square feet and there is a BBQ. We have a fire-pit located in the yard for outdoor cooking or campfires. We have a tire swing and trampoline; a bench by the river and a view that changes every season. Wildlife makes its way through our property at any time of the year. Our website has pictures of some of our visitors. During the winter, you can snowmobile from the yard to the trails nearby. The Kettle Valley Trail system is close by as well for snowmobiling in winter and quading in spring and summer. The river runs directly behind our property as well and has been know to cough up beautiful trout. Around the bend of the river is a swimming hole for the beautiful warm days of summer. There are hunting seasons in this area. The main roads in the area are suitable for bike riding and the general store is less than 3 km away. Otter Lake is approximately 3 km away as well for those looking for the beach. The lake has a dock and a slide for summer fun.

About Ginny Meinen

We love to really get away. Owning our own business makes that a little difficult. We decided to purchase a cabin a short distance away so that we felt we were on holiday. This is the main reason we do not have internet or wifi. Some may consider this a negative option but we do have a land line for your use.

Ginny Meinen purchased this cabin in 2012

Why Ginny Meinen chose Tulameen

This property provides everything we want in recreation. Every season there are things to do here from fishing to snowmobiling. It also is big enough for our families to join us here with their children. Going to the cabin has become a magic phrase for our grandchildren.

What makes this cabin unique

Privacy, space and fresh air. Beautiful views, interesting hikes, fun for young and old. Breathing in Tulameen clears your mind and gives you the freedom to relax. Watching the snow fall in winter through the big double sliding doors is one of our favorite things to do before we suit up and go for a ride. Lots of room for trucks and trailers here too.

Perfect location

  • 5 of 5

This place has lots of privacy with the perfect location overlooking the river from the kitchen and huge deck. There's lots to do all year round from sledding to fishing, or absolutely nothing. The owners were great and very informative.

We'd love to come back.

Private peaceful getaway in serene setting.

  • 5 of 5

A beautiful peaceful location off the beaten track. Great for quadding or snowmobiling right from the front door! Would also be great in the summer with the massive deck. The great double patio doors provide an unobstructed view to the peaceful outdoors where 2 deer were there to greet us upon arrival. Well equipped kitchen, wood burning fireplace and everything functioned well. Woke up to the first was magical! Would not hesitate to stay again in the future. Thanks Deborah

Quite enjoyment by the river

  • 5 of 5

We found the facilities to be as advertised. The unit was clean and contained all that is needed to bed and feed a group of people. It was easy to locate and was nicely placed next to the Tulameen river where we enjoyed the fishing available in the river, unfortunately white fish are not our favorite catch. All contact with the owners was responded to quickly and professionally. If I were to require accommodation for a group I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Luxurious living in the bush and a Sledders dream

  • 5 of 5

Cabin is very cozy, inviting and well thought out. Exceeded all expectations. The property with the mountains, river and evergreens is almost a slice of heaven and the equipment drying roon is pure genius. Owners are great to deal with. We went in winter with the kids, dogs and sleds and the property and area was like a winter wonderland. Awesome sledding trails for all ages through the mountains with lots of snow when alot a places in Canada had not much or none at all. The yard is great for the kids to sled around in and just have fun. I sure it would be fun in quading season too. Besides enjoying time with the family my favorite part was not hearing a phone beep or ring or reading a emai. I own a business and this was a much needed get away from it all for a week. We will most definitely be back. P.S. Sorry about the goggles.

Great getaway

  • 4 of 5

Nice large property on the river about 400m from the main part of town. Perfect getaway for our family, over New Years. The only thing is no cell phone reception in tulameen and the house did not have any wifi. Would definitely stay here again.
